Chapter 355
His unwanted wife, the world’s coveted genius

When it was time to eat, the four of them took their seats at the dining table. Harold raised his glass and said, âLetâs make a toast to our family.â
Everyone raised their glass in a toast. Harold looked at Lucas and Belinda and added, âI hope the four of us can get together to have meals every day from now on.â His words were loaded with hidden meaning.
Belinda and Lucas were stunned for a moment, glancing at each other.
Their eyes met, and they both sensed a strange emotion in each otherâs gaze. However, neither said anything.
The meal was pleasant, and Lucas ate more than usual. When everyone was done with lunch, they each headed to their respective rooms for a nap.
In Belindaâs room, there was only one bed, and Lucas was with her. When she returned to the room, she lay on the bed without hesitation. Surprisingly, Lucas lay down beside her.
Belinda cast him a questioning look. âYouâ¦â
Lucas, however, met her gaze calmly. âItâs not like we havenât shared a bed before,â he said.
Belinda didnât know how to respond to his words. This man! She glared at him for a while, saying nothing. Finally, she turned away and tried to get some rest.
The sound of Lucasâ steady breathing filled the air. For some reason, this put Belinda at ease, and before long, she was asleep.
Lucas, who was awake, turned to face Belinda when he realized that she had fallen asleep. He couldnât believe that Belinda was lying right there beside him now. The sight of her beside him calmed his heart. He realized that he had been thinking a lot about her. However, he didnât want to think too deeply about why, so he closed his eyes and soon fell asleep.
Later in the afternoon, Harold suggested that Lucas teach Belinda how to swim.
âThereâs really no need for that. I donât want to learn how to swim,â Belinda said, declining the idea.
She was actually a little afraid of water.
However, Harold disagreed with her.
âLearning is never a bad thing, Belinda. Besides, swimming is an important survival skill. It could save your life someday. You have to learn it!â he insisted.
He then turned to Lucas and added, âIâm entrusting her care to you. Make sure she learns how to swim.â
âReally, Harold, itâs not necessary!â Belinda protested.
Lucas, however, noticed the hint of fear in Belindaâs eyes and a mischievous glint appeared in his. Without hesitation, he said, âIâll handle it. Donât worry.â
Belinda was left speechless.
Belinda stared at Lucas, her face a mix of surprise and disbelief. What was he thinking? How had he ended up agreeing to teach her how to swim? Did he really have so much free time?
âExcellent!â Harold chimed in, nodding approvingly. âYou two should get started right away.â
As usual, Harold was very considerate. The servants had already prepared swimsuits for Belinda and Lucas, which only deepened Belindaâs suspicion that this was part of some grand plan of Haroldâs.
