Chapter 311
His unwanted wife, the world’s coveted genius

That evening, Belinda arrived at the Clark familyâs residence accompanied by Kenia, Holley, and Sarai.
âHarold, these are just small gifts I prepared for youâa token of my respect,â Kenia said, gesturing to the neatly arranged items on the table.
Harold smiled warmly. âYouâre too kind, Kenia. Thereâs no need for such formalities between us. We are family. Please, have a seat.â
Kenia returned the smile and settled gracefully onto the sofa. Holley and Sarai, who had accompanied Kenia, also sat down, though their movements were more cautious.
Saraiâs gaze wandered around the room, her eyes lingering on the luxurious furnishings. A fleeting glimmer of envy crossed her eyes before she quickly masked it.
Breaking the brief silence, Harold said, âKenia, about what happened before⦠Lucas was out of line. Iâve already had a serious talk with him.â
At that moment, Lucas stepped forward. His voice was steady as he said in an apologetic tone, âKenia, I owe you an apology. I was wrong before. Please forgive me.â
Kenia looked at Lucas, her expression unreadable. For a moment, she just studied him, as if weighing her response. Then, in a calm, measured tone, she said, âMr. Clark, thereâs no need for you to apologize to me. I didnât take that matter to heart.â
Hearing Kenia refer to Lucas so distantly, Harold sighed inwardly. He could sense the chasm between them, but this wasnât the time or place to address it with everyone present.
Clearing his throat, he quickly steered the conversation to lighter topics.
Not long after, the butler, Hooper, entered the room to announce that dinner was ready. The group moved to the dining room, where the meal was served in an elegant and inviting setting.
Throughout dinner, the atmosphere remained pleasant. Lucas, in an unexpected gesture, slid several dishes to Belinda. Belinda glanced at Lucas for a moment but said nothing. She thought to herself that Harold must have asked Lucas to do this.
But Kenia, observing silently, couldnât help but notice a pattern: every dish Lucas slid over to Belinda was one of Belindaâs favorites. Was this just a coincidence? Or was there more to it? Kenia dismissed these thoughts just as quickly as they came.
After the meal, Harold approached Kenia. âKenia, could I have a word with you upstairs? Thereâs something Iâd like to discuss with you in private.â
Understanding his intentions, Kenia nodded. âOf course.â The two retreated to Haroldâs study, where Harold gestured toward a chair, asking Kenia to sit down. âWould you like something to drink?â he asked.
Kenia waved her hand. âNo, thank you. My stomach is quite full from dinner.â
Harold nodded and took a seat opposite her. For a moment, he seemed to weigh his words carefully. Then, he spoke up.
âI understand youâre still upset with Lucas. He truly crossed the line, and I donât blame you for feeling that way.â
To his surprise, Kenia shook her head. Her tone was calm as she replied, âHarold, youâre overthinking it. Iâve already let it go.â
Harold studied her, uncertain whether to believe her or press further.
After a brief pause, he asked, âHow much do you know about Lucas and Belindaâs situation?â
Kenia said, âYouâre asking if I know about their plan to divorce after your birthday, right? Belinda has already told me about that.â
