Chapter 208
His unwanted wife, the world’s coveted genius

At that moment, Kyleeâs control slipped. She also made a mistake, but unlike Belinda, she was unable to correct her mistake.
Panic overtook her, and within moments, the simulation delivered its verdict, beeping three times. âSurgery Failed.â
The words flashed across Kyleeâs screen. The audience watching this was stunned.
âKylee failed!â one person said in shock.
âThat mistake was fixable. If only sheâd kept her head, she couldâve corrected her mistake.â
âShe panickedâthatâs what cost her. She is clearly not experienced in this. Still, she has done remarkably well to get this far.â
âNow, we need to see whether Belinda will succeed.â
Turnerâs smug confidence cracked as Kyleeâs failure registered. His expression darkened, a flicker of worry breaking through. But after a moment, he leaned back in his seat, regaining his composure. He knew that even though Kylee had failed, it wouldnât matter if Belinda also failed, and he was sure Belinda would not succeed.
At worst, this round would end in a draw, leaving time for further preparation before the next competition.
Ten minutes later, Kylee entered the auditorium, her face pale, looking defeated.
Turner felt a twinge of anger when he saw Kylee, but he knew that there was no point in scolding her now. So, he let Kylee settle down beside him and reassured her, âItâs okay. Youâve done better this time than you ever did before. But you still need to work on your mindset. Itâs imperative that you stay calm under pressure and donât rush the procedure. Everything falls apart when you panic. Do you understand?â
Kylee pressed her lips into a tight line and nodded.
After a few seconds, she turned to him with regret in her eyes. âIâm sorry, Mr. Ortiz. I⦠I let you down.â
Turner sighed softly and replied, âItâs no big deal. Just make sure you donât repeat the same mistake next time.â
But Kylee was still anxious. âBut⦠will there be a next time for me?â
Her gaze drifted to the screen, where Belinda was still performing the surgery. She felt a ball of dread in the pit of her stomach.
Turner chuckled lightly and gestured toward the screen. âCanât you see? Belinda is all by herself now.â
That reminder hit Kylee with a stark realization. âWhat is going on?â she asked with a confused expression.
A meaningful smile appeared on Turnerâs face, but he said nothing.
Kyleeâs eyes flickered briefly. After noticing how confident Turner was, she felt her anxiety melting away.
She fixed her gaze on the screen and watched in silence. The minutes ticked by. Belindaâs movements were faster now, but her hands remained steady.
At that point, both Turnerâs and Kyleeâs faces began to turn pale. Was it actually possible for Belinda to finish the surgery successfully?
Just then, âShe did it!â
âShe actually succeeded!â
