Chapter 1194
His unwanted wife, the world’s coveted genius

Something wasnât adding up.
Without hesitation, Belinda asked bluntly, âIs Devin inside?â
Carmelitaâs expression shifted immediately. She bit her lip. âWhy would Devin be in there? He didnât even come to this restaurant.â
Belinda let out a cold chuckle. âOh? Thatâs funny. I bumped into him earlier, and he told me he was dining here with you and Iliana.â
Carmelitaâs face twisted in frustration.
Damn it!
She hadnât expected Devin to have run into Belinda before this. Her thoughts scrambled before she quickly responded, âWell, Devin left already.â
But Belinda was unconvinced.
She had no intention of talking to Carmelita and swiftly shoved her aside, her hand reaching for the door handle.
It was only then that she realized the door was locked.
It required a key to open.
âBelinda, what the hell do you think youâre doing? Leave!â Carmelita snapped, breaking out of her brief moment of panic and trying to push Belinda aside.
But before she could make contact, Belinda reacted in a flashâwhipping around, seizing Carmelita by the throat, and pinning her against the wall.
Carmelitaâs body stiffened in shock. When she realized what was happening, she immediately shouted, âYou crazy bitch! Let go of me!â She desperately raised her hands to claw at Belindaâs grip on her neck, her nails sinking into her skin.
Soon, blood began to trickle down Belindaâs hand.
A sharp sting ran through Belindaâs hand, but instead of backing down, she only tightened her grip. A cold fire burned in her eyes.
With controlled strength, she slammed Carmelita against the wall.
The impact sent a loud, dull thud through the hallway.
âAh!â Carmelita shrieked in agony.
Belindaâs voice was low and dangerous. âDonât you dare scratch me again!â
âBelinda?â A voice broke through the tension. Bethany had just returned from paying the bill, only to stumble upon the startling scene.
Belinda turned to Bethany. âBethany, search her. She has the key.â
âOn it.â Without hesitation, Bethany stepped forward and quickly patted down Carmelitaâs pockets.
She soon found a key in the pocket of her pants.
Once Bethany had it, she didnât waste a second. She rushed to unlock the door.
However, the moment she opened the door, her breath hitched, her eyes widening in disbelief at the sight before her.
