Chapter 16

Ellie's P.O.V

My god I'm so stupid. How did I think I could ever get away with this? How did I think this would ever work out? I think to myself while holding my belly and climbing out of the taxi. This was a bad idea. OMG I'm going to have a baby!

You probably wondering what I'm talking about? Well let's RECAP

"I'm so nervous, what if I'm actually am pregnant Rachel?" I say whilst waiting for Kai to come pick me up to go for my doctors appointment

"Well then I guess you'd be having a baby" she says

I roll my eyes "Your so helpful. I'm sitting freaking outside here and you think this is a joke?" I exclaim

"There's nothing to be worrying about" she says

"NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT? I COULD BE PREGNANT!" I shout at her. She jumps 10 feet in the air and looks at me shocked finally putting her phone down

"Omg will you quit shouting, everything will be fine! I promise I'll be here here for you and help you through it" she say "besides you'd be a great mum, look at how you are with Ollie" she points out

"That's different, I can play with him and then at the end of the day take him to his mum, now I will be the mum, it will be constant. But that's not even what I'm worrying about" I tell her

"Then what are you so sca-"

Knock knock

Rachel was cut off by Kai knocking the door.

"Since when does he knock?" Rachel jokes

"Since I locked the door and he can't just walk in" I tell her standing up to go unlock the door

"Why'd you lock the door?" Rachel and Kai ask at the same time when I open the door

I shrug my shoulders. "Felt like it"

3 hours later

I was just about to call Rachel but she came sprinting at the door as soon as I walked through it.

"Well?" She asks

"I-I'm pregnant" I tell her

"Whoo whooo" she yells fist bumping the air  "I'm finally going to be an auntie!" Shes smiles like the Chester cat

"What's all this shouting about?" Oscar asks "yeah I'm trying to study" some boy I've never saw before walks out of the living room.

"Um who's that?" I whisper to Rachel

"Oh this is Ben, Ben this is Ellie Kai's girlfriend" Rachel says

"I'm not his girlfriend" I say. "It's nice too meet you Ben"

"Likewise" he says then excuses himself and leaves the hallway

"Um what is he doing here?" I ask

"He works here" Oscar says

"He's a cleaner?" I ask shocked, he doesn't look like the cleaning type, he looks messy and lazy

"No" Oscar laughs

"A new cook? Good I'm starving" I say, just then my tummy grumbles to emphasise my point

"Uh no, he um, he's part of the Mafia" Oscar says warily

"HE'S WHAT?" I shout "what the hell he's like 10!" I exclaim

"11" Oscar corrects

"And that makes it better? What the hell is a child doing caught up in all this?" I ask angrily

"Calm down it's not like he was forced to join" he says

"He shouldn't even know what a mafia is! How did he even know how to join one?!" I snap back angrily, he's just a kid!

Gosh I'm so mad, this is no place for a child to be let alone work in! How the hell was he even allowed to join? I'm so mad right now, where the hell is Kai anyway, he was right behind me. Just then as if he heard my thoughts Kai walks through the front door with the same happy smile I left him with. He's been smiling like that ever since the doctor told us I'm pregnant, it's actually really cute. No! Stop that Ellie your supposed to be mad at him!

I march up to him and slap him in the face, he's shocked at first and then he realises what I just did and he figures what I'm about to do again as he grabs my wrists. "What the hell Ellie what was that for?" He asks

"Ben! What the hell is that CHILD doing here? Working here! He's eleven! He's just a kid and you let him get caught up in this, this madness?!" I shout angrily

His face changes form shock to what looks like boredom. He sighs and lets go of my wrists "it was his choice, he knew what he was getting himself into"

"Are you fucking serious? What the hell is wrong with you? He's just a child! He probably doesn't even know how to tie his own fucking shoe, he's at no way capable of making a decision like this!" I shout

"Ellie calm down, this sort of thing happens all the time! It's completely normal here" he shouts back this time

Normal. Off course this is normal, which is why I need to get my baby away from all this drama before he or she gets dragged into this. There's no way I'm going to allow my child to join a Mafia, and if anything happened to Kai, he the leader? Ha no way in Hell!

Present

That's when I came up with my plan. I knew I had to get away from it all. I couldn't have my child in the middle of all that danger, even when I said I would move back into the mansion I know I have to do this for the safety of my baby. What would I do if Kai tried to force my child to join the mafia or if my child decided they wanted to join or if someone kidnapped my child because they knew it was Kai's son and needed leverage. Well I'm not even going to give my child the chance for any of that to happen.

I spoke to Rachel about it, tried to get her to come with me. Get Ollie away from all the danger, she told me I was crazy, maybe I was but I had to do something for the sake of my child. I couldn't just sit back and watch as my child grew up around all the danger. But Kai must have overheard the conversation or at least part of it because he came in and said he wouldn't let any danger come near our child. He must not have heard the full conversation or else he would have gone mad and gotten really obsessive again.

He really has changed, I can tell he's trying to be a somewhat better person. Well at least to me and for me but I still didn't want to take the chance.

Rachel disagreed with me, she said that the mafia would help keep our children safe. The guys could protect them. But my mother instincts kicked in strong and disagreed. Rachel was blinded by love but I respected her decision. For the last 8 months I lived in the mansion and put on a brave face, I acted like nothing was wrong and that I wasn't plotting anything.

When in reality me and Lily were planning our escape from America. Oh yeah did I forget to mention after the whole argument about Ben I needed to get away for a while do I went and had coffee with lily, I know I shouldn't have told her as it was dangerous but she was of if my best friends and I knew I could trust her with the big secret. She helped me come up with a plan and we decided that we were going to move back to Lily's hometown in London.

We bought an apartment from her phone and have been paying people to move things in and decorate for us. I knew we had to be careful so we done everything off her phone.

"You excited to see the new apartment?" I ask lily once we're out of the taxi and standing at the steps of the building we're going to be living in

"Yeah, can't wait to finally be home"

Half an hour later we were all unpacked and sitting in the living room. The apartment wasn't massive but it is big enough for the both of us.

"Hey I'm going to get a drink, want one?" Lily asks

"Uh yeah, just water please"

"Okay" she says and walks into the kitchen

Just then there was a loud knock on the door. "Hey can you get that" lily shouts

I stand up and make my way to the door, just as I open it something hard hits me in the face, I stumble back look up at the man with a baseball bat in his hand, with shock and horror "Huh, your stronger than you look" he says before lifting it over his head

"L-lily run!" I scream, I stand up and stumble back before he swings the bat at me again, dodging his his. I kick him as hard as I can but it doesn't do as much damage as I wanted it to

"Ah I see your a fighter" he says smiling with a creepy grin

Mother instincts kicks in and I grab the lamp of the table in the little hallway but just as I was about to swing it at him someone grabs it from behind and next thing I know I'm on the ground. My vision was blurry and my head was spinning, I look up and see lily standing there. It was fuzzy but i knew it was her.

"Lllilyy?" I try to speak

"Nice one Lily, well done" the man says before everything goes black

How could she betray me like this?
