Chapter 14

Recap

(Parts in bold is me telling you something that happened instead of me coping and pasting everything as that would be too long)

Ellie goes shopping and bumps into an old friend

"Ellie?" A familiar voice calls out to me, I look up and gasp.

"Lily?" I ask, I stand up and walk over to her. "Woah you look so different" I say taking in her bright pink hair. "It suits you" I smile at her and give her a hug once I reach her. We make our way back over to the bench and sit back down.

"Thanks" she says "So where have you been? You never came back to work and I haven't seen you in years, I thought something bad had happened, and you never answered your phone" she says

"O-oh yeah sorry, I got a knew phone my old one broke" I lied dodging the question about where I was however that doesn't work as she decides to question me more

"Oh well why didn't you come back to work? When you weren't answering my calls and skipping work I knew something was wrong then Rachel stopped coming to work as well and my suspicions grew even more so I went by your place and none of yous were there. I was so worried. I didn't know what to do, I thought something bad had happened so I phoned the police, they didn't find any signs of struggle in your apartment and they traced both of your credit cards and everything but it was as if you'd both just vanished into thin air. So after 2 months they stopped their investigation...I-I thought yous were dead" she starts crying

Turns out her old friend is also Lucas's Ex girlfriend.

Ellie goes to Warrens BBQ she meets a boy called Jacob and he takes an interest in her. But she tells him she can't go out with him

"Hey, you sure you don't need a ride?" Jacob asks

"No it's okay, thank you though" I tell him

"Honestly I don't mind" he says

I think about it for a moment. Before agreeing and getting into the passenger seat.

"Thank you" I tell him

"No problem" he says

I give him my address and he types it into his Satnav. We make small talk for the rest of the journey and when he pulls up outside my house he asks me

"Hey so are you doing anything on Tuesday afternoon?" He asks

"Um.." I think "yeah, I'm working, why?" I ask

"I was gonna ask you if you'd like to go get dinner or something" he says

"Oh, I'm sorry I can't" I tell him

"Thanks okay I understand, are you free any other day next week?" He asks

"Look, Jacob you seem really nice anol but I'm sorta in a relationship right now" I tell him

"You said earlier that your single?" He questions

"No, I said I was talking to somebody" I tell him

"Yeah but you're not officially in a relationship" he points out

"Look it's complicated, sorry but I can't go out with you" I tell him again

Ellie walks into her house and gets a fright as Kai was in her living room waiting for her to come in

"Who's your friend?" A voice startles me making me scream and jump of the sofa. I rush to turn on the lights and sigh when I see it's just Kai

"What the hell you almost gave me a heart attack!" I exclaim

Ellie's P.O.V

"How did you even get in here?" I ask. Trying to calm myself back down, I take a seat back on the couch and take a deep breath to help calm by beating heart.

"You left your window open" he shrugs

I look beside me but both the living room windows are shut, I turn around with a confused frown. "Your bedroom window" he explains

"Oh" I say "wait, you climbed through my bedroom window?" I ask, I don't even know why I'm so shocked off course this is something he'd do.

"Yeah, now stop trying to change the subject, who was that that drove you home and where have you been?" He asks. I can't tell by the tone of his voice or his facial expressions if he's annoyed or not. I hope it's the latter.

"Uh just a friend" I tell him.

"Just a friend? I've never seen him before and you've never mentioned any new friends. What's his name? Where did you meet him and where were you?" He asks

"What are you a detective? What's with all the questions?" I question him back

"No i'm your boyfriend and I'm just trying to find out where my girlfriend has been all night and who her new boy friend is" he says crossing his arms over his chest. He seems to be getting a bit frustrated now.

"Boyfriend? So that's what we are then? I don't recall us making it official again.   As for who he is, his name is Jacob and I was at a BBQ today and he dropped me home" I told him

"Why didn't you ask me to pick you up?" He asks

"Because I didn't know you were back, you weren't supposed to be back until tomorrow" I tell him

"Oh well why didn't you ask Josh? Or Marcus, or Lucas?" He asks me

"Kai why does it matter? He's just a friend and he only drove me home, you have nothing to worry about" I tell him with a sigh, already bored of this conversation and all these questions.

To be fair to him though I did expect him to react a bit more... overdramatic. And I can tell he's trying to not get mad. Which I appreciate, I'm glad he's trying to make things better this time because honestly he's had enough chances and this is the last one.

"Why didn't you tell me you were going to a BBQ?" He asks

I sigh, trying my best to not get frustrated. He's trying to not get angry and shout so I shouldn't get angry at him for asking questions. It just shows that he cares. But it is awful annoying, I'm only through the door and he must have asked me about 10 questions so far.

"I don't want you thinking I'm trying to hide anything from you, it's not like that I promise. I didn't tell you because I didn't want you overreacting or getting mad" I tell him honestly

He nods his head in understanding "I still would have appreciated it if you told me, I don't like that I didn't know where you were. Nobody knew where you were, what if something bad happened?" He asks

"Kai, I'm an adult, not a child" I remind him

"It doesn't matter what age you are Ellie, bad things happen to people of all ages" he says

"I know" I say

"Next time tell me if your going out" he tells me, but it sounded more like a warning. However I chose not to mention it and I run up and gave him a hug. He wraps his arms around me and squeezes me close to him as if, if he let go I would vanish. He rests his head in my hair and breaths in. "God, I've missed you so much" he says

"I missed you to" I admit

He pulls his head back and starts kissing all over my face before bringing his lips to mine. I kiss him back with just as much hunger and need. His arms grab my thighs and lifts me up, I wrap my legs around his waist and he backs me up against the wall beside us. I pull back to catch my breath, allowing him to kiss down my neck. He kisses down my neck and then back up before kissing my lips once again, barley giving me enough time to catch my breath.

After another minute or so I pull away again, panting for air and he once again kisses down my neck. I moan when his tongue licks over a certain spot at the bottom of my neck and I feel him smirk against my skin. He continues to suck and bite there before he pulls away.

"What do you want to do?" He asks me

"Anything" I reply

His lips find mine once again and he walks us over to the sofa.

We fall back on the sofa panting,

(Sorry your gonna have to use your imagination, I'm not comfortable writing smut scenes and honestly I don't even think it would be any good 😂 your imagination would be better)

I grab my phone and check the time, it's currently 10pm.

"Are you staying the night?" I ask Kai

"Yes" was his short reply before pulling me back down and hugging me close to his naked body.

"Are we just going to sleep here?" I laugh

"Do you want to go up to your bed?" He asks me

"Mmm, no I'm pretty comfy here actually" I tell him

"Okay, than we can sleep here" he says, then kisses my forehead. "Night" he yawns

"Night night" I giggle back. I'm not sure what I'm laughing at but I couldn't help it. I lean my head against his chest and close my eyes, then groan when I release that the light is still on.

I go to get up to turn it if but Kai tightens his grips on me. "Where are you going?" He asks

"The light is still on" I tell him

"Leave it" he mumbles sleepily.

"Okay then" I say and rest my head down against him again

15 minutes later Kai is snoring but I can't sleep because the light is annoying me. I try to sleep with my head in Kai's chest but I end up getting too warm after a minute or so and I'm not able to lay like that any longer. Getting fed up I try to wiggle myself out of Kai's arms. His arms are around me in a tight grip as if to make sure I can't go anywhere.

I try to pry his arms off of me and he starts moving. I immediately stop, not wanting to wake him up. I slump my head back down against his chest with a defeated sigh, glaring at the light then turning my gaze away after the brightness gets too much for my eyes and starts to make me less sleepy.

Kai shifts in his sleep, loosening his grip around me making it possible for me to get up and finally turn the light off. I grab the comforter off of the other sofa before turning off the light and blindly trying to find my way back to Kai. Once I've successfully made my way back to my spot on the couch without tripping up and falling over something I lay back down and pull the comforter over me and Kai.

Finally being able to fall asleep now that the stupid light is off.
