kiss me slowly

-

The hospital room was filled with the sterile scent of antiseptic and the low hum of machines. Phuwin sat in a chair beside Pond's bed, his eyes fixed on the motionless figure. Pond's face was

pale, his breathing shallow. A bandage wrapped around his head, a stark reminder of the accident.

A doctor emerged from the room, his expression grim. "He's stable for now," he said, "but he's suffered a head injury. We'll have to wait and see how he recovers."

Phuwin nodded, his mind numb. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. Pond, the man who had caused him so much pain, was lying there.

A sigh escaped Phuwin's lips as he reached out to gently stroke Pond's hair. He couldn't deny the strange sense of peace that had settled over him.

Perhaps it was the relief of knowing that Pond couldn't hurt him anymore. Or maybe it was something deeper, a flicker of empathy that he hadn't expected to feel.

After a few days, the doctors discharged Pond, deeming him stable enough to recover at home. Phuwin, with a mix of reluctance and duty, agreed to take him in.

Pond was still unconscious, his body limp and unresponsive. Phuwin carefully transferred him to the bed, his heart pounding with a strange mix of fear and anticipation.

Days turned into weeks, and still, Pond remained in a deep slumber. Phuwin took care of him, feeding him, cleaning him, and tending to his wounds. It was a task that he had never imagined himself doing, but he found a strange sense of purpose in it.

One evening, as Phuwin sat by Pond's side, he noticed a flicker of movement in his eyelids. His heart raced as he leaned closer, his breath held. Slowly, Pond's eyes fluttered open, revealing a gaze that was both vacant and intense.

"Where am I?" Pond's voice was weak and raspy.

Phuwin's lips curved into a small smile. "You're home," he replied.

Pond's eyes widened in surprise. "Home?" he echoed, his voice filled with confusion.

Phuwin nodded. "You had an accident," he explained. "I took care of you."

Pond's gaze shifted to the surroundings, taking in the familiar yet unfamiliar space. A wave of realization washed over him, and a dark look settled in his eyes.

"You," he growled, his voice filled with menace.
