I Love You Miss Genius ( Bonnie Shepard ) CHAPTER 148
I Love You, Miss Genius
Chapter 148
âThanks, Mom.â Trina said smilingly.
âYou donât have to thank me, dear.â
Gresham set down his utensils and looked at his daughter, saying, âYou offended people at the institute last time. I donât know if you can get in again in the future.â
The other two felt a headache coming on when they heard that. Trina bit her lip and said, âMs. Bonitaâs in the hospital. I plan to visit her.â
âDo you know which one sheâs in?â Gresham and Vera were surprised.
âYeah, itâs a coincidence that my college senior works where Ms. Bonita is. She told me an hour ago that Ms. Bonita is there.â
Vera understood Trinaâs purpose. âBonnie embarrassed you in front of those old professors last time. So, you want to prove that youâre not as bad as those professors think and also show your talent to Ms. Bonita?â
Trina linked arms with her mother. âYou know me so well, Mom.â
Gresham frowned. âIâm worried it might backfire. What if Ms. Bonita doesnât like you because of those old professors? If that happens, itâll affect our family.â
âDonât worry, Dad. My senior said sheâs fortunate to be Ms. Bonitaâs exclusive nurse. She chatted with Ms. Bonita several times and said sheâs easy to get along with.
âBesides, Ms. Bonita is a giant in the science community. Sheâs wise and knows that those old professors misunderstood me,â Trina spoke confidently.
t
âIf thatâs the case, I hope you do your best for Ms. Bonita when the time comes.â
âYou can rest assured, Mom and Dad.â
Bonnie lay on the hospital bed in a hospital gown, surrounded by several professors from the
institute.
Jim crossed his arms, looking tense as he said, âI donât know how to put it, Ms. Bonita. We have a superiorâsubordinate relationship, but youâre like a daughter to me. Health is the foundation of everything. You must take better care of yourself for the countryâs sake.â
âMr. Jimâs right. You donât know how worried we were when you fainted. It felt like you, our backbone, would disappear.â
âOld people love nagging, donât they? Once they latch onto something, theyâll repeat it. Iâve already heard these words at least three times today.â

âI understand.â Bonnieâs head throbbed.
âYou said the same thing when you were sick before,â Professor Leto sald seriously.
Bonnie remained silent. Meanwhile, Jim could not bear it anymore and looked at Bonnie angrily, asking, âWhat happened to your forehead? Thatâs no ordinary wound. If you donât tell me what happened, Iâll stalk you and find out. I wonât care if youâre at the Knightsâ house or not.â
Bonnieâs head throbbed even more. She wanted to make up a reason, but it seemed impossible now.
âI participated in a race for Lenfield Resort last night.â
âWhat?!â Jim was shocked. âDo you know how important your safety is?! Why would you participate in something so dangerous? You couldâve died if you made a single mistake!â
âI wouldnât have made a mistake. Iâm a professional racer, after all.â Bonnieâs explanation was useless to the older professors.
âMs. Bonita, you canât take your life lightly! We canât afford to lose you!â
âYeah, how could you participate in such a dangerous event? What if something worse happened to you?â
âYou canât do this again, Ms. Bonita.â
Bonnie wanted to tell Jim about the finals in a week, but she decided to keep it a secret instead.
At that moment, Trina had arrived at the hospital.
