Chapter 16
The Understated Dragon Lord
Chapter 16 The Reputation of the Family
âAre you teaching me what to do?â Joshuaâs question sent shivers down Anthonyâs spine, prompting him to quickly deflect, âNo, I
wouldnât dare!â
Anthony fell silent, but he believed Joshua had taken his words to heart. Reputation was always of paramount importance to his master. He wouldnât let his good name be sullied for the sake of a
nobody.
Joshuaâs frown deepened, and his expression grew stern, which made Anthony gloat internally. His master was angered, and Daniel was doomed. Andrew also picked up on the cues and, while wanting to speak out, was dissuaded by Anthonyâs glare. Joshua was clever and needed no instruction from anyone else; any further input could only
make things worse.
However, Joshua was troubled by Jessicaâs potential reaction to the photos, as women were often sensitive about such matters. As a devoted disciple, it was his duty to aid his master.
Joshua pulled Daniel aside and quietly asked, âMaster, did you really molest that woman on the highâspeed train?â
âAm I that kind of person? It was a misunderstanding.â
âI see, a misunderstanding! I knew it! With such a beautiful wife, how could you possibly molest another woman?â
Reassured by Danielâs answer, Joshua walked back to Jennifer. âYour claims that Master Daniel molested you on the trainâbased solely on

these photos and supposed chat recordsâcanât prove anything. You need to provide more evidence.â
âIsnât it clear in these photos? And Iâm the victim. The evidence
speaks for itself! Everyone here today is a Delvin Hub business elite; they arenât blind. If you, Master Joshua, protect him, it will become public knowledge. No one would believe youâd shelter such a pervert, given your status.â
âIf Master Daniel truly did what youâve accused, I will immediately halt Healthy Landâs collaboration with TMO! If heâs innocentâand youâre slandering him, then youâll owe him a public apology.â
âIf heâs innocent, Iâll kneel and apologize ! But if heâs guilty, he must kneel before me and slap himself, apologizing until I forgive him.â
â
Jennifer wanted to crush Daniel and make him the laughing stock of Delvin Hub, a pariah.
Joshua, taking his time, looked over at Daniel. âMaster Daniel, what do you say?â
âI agree.â
Joshuaâs conviction in Danielâs innocence was bolstered by his affirmative response, so he asked Jennifer, âWhich flight was it, and which seat did you have?â
âIt was flight G888, and I was in seat 2A.â
Joshua whipped out his phone and dialed a number. âBig Mac! I need
a favorâcan you pull up a security recording for meâ¦â
The name âBig Macâ left Jennifer inwardly impressed. Joshua, the head of The Grants, one of the eight great families and the chief

medical officer, had such clout. With just a phone call, he contacted the person who controlled the whole aviation system, endearingly referred to as âBig Macâ by friends due to his reported love for the hamburger.
âJust wait until the surveillance video comes in, then get ready to slap yourself in front of me,â she taunted.
