Lola’s POV

“He definitely feels the mate bond and wants to be with you too“, she laughed as we neared the car that I just noticed was parked in front of the house.

“Huh?” I asked. I wasn’t really paying attention to what she was saying. My attention was on the handsome man I left behind. What was that expression on his face? It couldn’t have been jealousy, I must have seen wrong.

“I said Adrian likes you too and feels the mate bond. You should have seen his face when I mentioned Greg“, she said as she doubled over with laughter, letting go of my hand in the process.

I was about to speak again when Lyla’s “we’re here” rang through the car. I looked up to see that we were at a cute ice cream shop still within the pack.

From what I saw from the car, the pack also had a big mall. and beautiful places we could have shopped from the other day.

“Lyla, you said the human town was the only place where we could shop the other day!” I exclaimed and she laughed. “Fine, I shouldn’t have lied because you’d have figured it out anyways but I just wanted to take you beyond the pack that day. I did not want you to come across Adrian and get your mood spoiled again“, she explained and I nodded my head.

“And I also wanted to piss Nathan off“, she said before getting out of the car. I laughed a bit before getting down after her and following her into the ice cream parlor.

We entered and she seemed to be searching for something until I heard a loud voice from a secluded seat towards the back of the room. “Lyla, Lola, over here“, we looked towards the sound to see Avianca waving at us excitedly. We waved back at her before heading towards where they were seated.

“Hi guys“, Lyla and I greeted them simultaneously before taking a seat. The one seat available after Lyla sat down was the one beside Greg. I remembered his words from last night and felt my cheeks growing hotter.

That was the first time a guy would tell me that I deserve to be picked over everyone so it was kinda huge for me. “Hey Lola“, he said gently beside me, making me look into his face. He

looked gorgeous too but he wasn’t Adrian. “Hi Greg“, I said quickly and looked away from him.

“Your outfit is cute, Lola“, Lotana said, making me smile at her. “Thank you, Lyla picked it“, I sent a small smile to her and she grinned at me back.

“Now, now, shall we order for our cup of goodness? Our princesses kept us waiting and now that they’re here, let’s not waste anymore time“, Avianca and we all agreed.

I couldn’t decide on what flavors to pick since it’s been so long I had ice cream I had forgotten what it tasted like. Lyla ordered a sundae for me with a variety of toppings. I felt bad for taking more than what others took when I’m not the one paying so Lyla ordered a sundae, which in turn made everyone order a sundae.

While we waited, I could have sworn that I smelled Adrian but I looked around and I couldn’t find him so I shrugged it off. Our ice cream soon came and we all dug into it. I could have cried from the goodness I was experiencing. It tasted so good and amazing and I happily scraped my cup.

After chatting for a while, we decided to go ‘bowling‘. I spotted Nathan’s car as we left the ice cream parlor but I shrugged it off. Anyone could have that kind of car and since. Lyla doesn’t seem to be bothered about it, I did not bother about it either.

I could not understand how they were doing it but everyone. seemed to be having fun and it was all good until Greg asked me if I wanted to try too. I nodded my head and he led me towards one of the alleys.

He showed me how to position my b*dy and I tried it,

knocking half of the bottles down in one go. I was so happy I hugged Greg without thinking.

I pulled back and before I could wrap my head around what I did, Greg was on the floor with a familiar man punching the daylight out of him.

Imagine my shock when the man was finally pulled off Greg and it turned out to be Adrian.
