Chapter 152
Luna Lola-The Moon Wolf
Chapter 152
Lola's POV
âWhat?â I exclaimed. âI said we're under attack andâ¦â¦â, Nathan tried to repeat but I cut him off. âI heard what you said the first time,
Nathanâ, I snapped.
âHow much time do we have till they get to the middle of the pack?â I asked him, still holding Adrian to my body. Those fuckers did this
on purpose. They knew that he'd be weakened by the death of his mother.
Well, surprise, surprise, they're in for a treat.
âOur border just got breached, it's only a matter of time before they get to the centre of the pack, Lunaâ, he said, his voice steady as a
rock.
âGet all the children, elderly and pregnant women into the safe room. Tell Lyla and Avianca to watch over them while we take care of
these monsters. Inform the troops to be in their position, we'll be with you shortlyâ, I ordered.
âAnd Adrian, is he okay?â He asked in concern. I took a deep breath before I answered him, âwe'll be out shortly, Nathan. The pack
comes first to an Alpha and she wouldn't have wanted it any other wayâ.
The mindlink shut off and I assumed he was already carrying out the orders I gave him. I knelt down beside Adrian, whose eyes were still
fixated on his mother and cupped his face.
âAdrianâ, I called out slowly. His eyes finally found mine and my heart broke for him. He was lost, like his whole world has crumbled
before his eyes.
âMom, she's goneâ, he said in a voice devoid of any emotions. I sniffled before I talked again. âShe's in a better place, Adrian, but our
pack members are notâ, I said slowly, not wanting to upset him.
âShe wouldn't have wanted this, she would have wanted you to go out there and put those bastards in their place. We're under attack,
our people need us. We didn't come this far to allow them win at the end of the dayâ, I told, slowly gauging his reaction.
âYou're rightâ, he said and got to his feet, pulling me along with him. âI'm going to make sure it all ends today, everything ends todayâ,
he said in a voice that sent shivers down my spine.
Yes, Adrian, it all ends today. I'm sorry.
I hugged him tightly, not caring about the blood covering both of our body. âI'm sorry, Adrian. I'm really sorry for everythingâ, I told
him. âNone of this was your fault, how could we have known that she would resort to such measures?â He told me before placing a kiss on
my forehead.
He held my hands in his and we ran out of the house together. When we got to the pack house, all formations were in place already.
We made our way to the front of the line, where Nathan was already waiting for us. He bowed and looked at Adrian before his eyes
glazed over, indicating that they were communicating through the mind link.
âThe children and elderly? Are they safe?â I asked him after they finished their discussion and he nodded. âLyla and Avianca are trying
their best to calm them downâ, he said and I acknowledged it with a small nod of my head.
I could hear footsteps coming from the pack border and my eyes watered from the smell of rotten flesh that was in the air.
Adrian held my hand in his and squeezed gently. âStay by my side, no matter what. I can't afford to lose you tooâ, he begged but I didn't
say a word. I smiled at him and tried to keep my tears at bay.
It's too late, Adrian, too late.
The intruders soon came into view with Damon in the front row and Alysia by her side but that wasn't what caught my attention. Serena
and Fay were in chains and were being dragged by some creatures that I couldn't explain.
They looked like they were stuck halfway into morphing into their wolves. Their lower body was like that of wolves, their backs were
bent at a very weird angle with hair lightly covering the expanse of their back.
Their faces were morphed into something between a wolf and a human. Fuck, was this what the bastard needed my blood for. My
breathing came out in puffs and I felt like the earth was shaking beneath me.
âHoly crapâ, Nathan said from beside me and I couldn't agree more with him. Nothing we trained for would have prepared me for what
I saw in front of me.
âAlphaâ, someone said from behind us. âWe wait for them to make the first move, they're under someone's commandâ, he said. âI just
can't figure out who exactlyâ, he said through our mindlink while squeezing my hands in his.

I was impressed that he figured it out already. âAlysia. She's the one that can have them under the control of her black magicâ, I told him
through our mindlink.
At the mention of her name, Jasmine and Daxon growled in anger. âShe's mine and mine alone to killâ, he growled.
âWell, well, well, I see you're still covered in the blood of your motherâ, Damon said from where he stood with his entourage. âI had so
much fun killing herâ, Alysia added with her cackle.
âPoor thing begged me to spare her life. She looked so ethereal as her life slipped from herâ, she said and Adrian growled loudly beside
me.
âBaby, you need to calm downâ, I said gently but he kept on growling, Daxon almost taking control. âSnap out of it, Adrianâ, I screamed
at him through our mindlink, âfucking snap out of it. You're falling into their trap, they're obviously doing this to rile you up. So, for the sake
of everyone, get your shit togetherâ, I snapped at him.
He closed his eyes and took deep breaths, making me breathe a sigh of relief. âWhat the fuck do you want, Damon?â I snapped at him.
âYou, your mate's head on a platter and authority over every pack wolfâ, he said with a grin to which I scoffed. âLike hell you're going to
have it. Leave while you still have your head on your neckâ, I told him but he just laughed.
âI should have known it wouldn't go the easy way with you. Fine, we'll do this my wayâ, he said and all hell broke loose.
