Chapter 55
The Accidental Wedding (Completed)
Sachi's POV
A knock on the door jolted me out of my slumber. I took a peek at the time. It's the early hours of the morning. Who is it that is banging on the door? When I opened the door, Advik stood there wrapped in a blanket.
"Advik, what happened?" I inquired about him. Unless someone pulls him out of bed, he never wakes up.
"Mumma I'd like to stay with you and sleep here." He murmured innocently and dashed to the bed. He leaped onto the bed and pretended to be sound asleep.
I believe I should be concerned about his sudden appearance. This early in the morning, I'm hoping the devil isn't up to anything.I shut the door and began walking towards the bed.
" Aadvik Aarav Oberoi." Someone screamed at the top of his lungs. Aarav appeared to have a fearful expression as he woke up.
"What exactly did I do? What exactly did I do?" He stated his case. He was flabbergasted. It sounded like a roar, to be more specific. Who is so enraged at this hour of the morning?
"What's the deal with Abheer yelling so early in the morning?" In an angry tone, Aarav said as he got out of bed. Yes, It's Abheer's voice. What went wrong with him? This has something to do with my naughty little devil. What has he done today? When I looked at him, I noticed he was smirking and pretending to sleep. God, I hope Abheer can handle this joke. Abheer was pounding on the door and screamed like a lunatic. I walked over to the door. Abheer barged in like a raging bull as soon as I opened the door.
"Where is that devil? This time, I'm going to punish him severely." He remarked this as he approached Advik. Advik jumped to his feet and snuck behind Aarav.
"Can you tell me what happened?" Aarav inquired, his gaze falling on each of them. He appeared enraged since he had slept late the night before, and now the ruckus had begun early in the morning.
"Take a look," Abheer remarked, pointing to his hair. Looking at him, I was taken aback. What the hell is going on here? Aarav burst out laughing before I could comprehend the situation in front of me. We didn't notice it as we are still sleepy.
"Oh my God!" I said. I was ecstatic. It was the only thing I could think of to say. I put my hand over my mouth, trying desperately to keep from giggling. He is in a sorry situation. Why did Advik prank him like that?
"Advik. How did you accomplish this? I'm not sure why I've never considered doing something like this to you, Abheer." In between his laughs, Aarav mumbled this.
"Why did you do this with Chachu, Advik?" I tried to be as serious as I could, but he's cracking me up right now. He looks so funny.
"Are you both kidding? You both should chastise him for meddling with my hair." Abheer screamed angrily. He appeared to be on the verge of murdering all three of us.
"However, the question remains as to how he was able to turn your hair pink." Aarav inquired. Abheer's hair wasn't completely pink, but he did have pink streaks in it, which made him look odd.
"I used a pink dye on his hair. I woke up at 5 am to do it. I was not sure whether it will work or not but it worked exactly the way I wanted it to be." Advik said. Where does he get all these ideas from?
"Why?" I inquired to him. Abheer has undoubtedly done something, and this is Advik's way of telling anyone not to mess with him.
"You woke at 5:00 a.m. Abheer must have done something dreadful to have you give up your sleep." With a raised eyebrow, Aarav said and looked at Abheer.
"He was making fun of me in front of his pals by showing them a picture of me naked. I had to take revenge." Who in their right mind would do such a thing with a four-year-old child? So, what exactly am I talking about? Abheer isn't even close to being sensible. God alone knows when he will mature.
"What the hell is going on here? I was just displaying your photo album to them. It had your naked images in it. It's not my fault." He was defending himself when he stated this.
"It was embarrassing." Advik said.
"Why only today did you do it? I was meeting someone important, as you know." With a mournful expression on his face, Abheer expressed his thoughts.
"Whom are you going to meet today?" I asked him.
"Chachi." Advik yelled.
"What!" Aarav and I yelled at the same time.
"Don't tell me you also secretly got married like us? Why didn't you inform us before." Aarav said with a smirk.
"No way, dude. Stop with the foolishness. Why isn't anyone chastising him or offering a remedy for my hair?" Advik and Abheer act more like siblings and often complain to us about each other. Abheer has the effect of being our oldest kid at times. When will he mature? I suppose never.
"Do you have a crush on someone? Do you have a significant other?" I inquired about him.
"This isn't relevant right now. Do something with my hair? Please restore normality." With a pleading tone, he said.
"It is important. Tell me about your chachu's love tale, Advik." Aarav spoke out and took Advik in his arms.
"There isn't a love tale in my life. Will you just be quiet, bro?" "There's no need to lie, Chachu."
"Yes, my younger brother. There's no reason to lie." Aarav expressed himself in the same way as Advik did in a childish tone. "You had been rejecting every single lady chosen by mum for all these years because you were already in love. Great Mum is going to be on cloud nine. What is her name?" Aarav inquired, and Abheer only stared at him. "I have no one in my life."
"Who is 'Doctor Darling,' then? Who saves their doctor's contact like that? Is she even your doctor or, are you just stalking her like a fool?" Advik said with a smirk. Where did he learn to smirk like that? Is that even a question to ask? Obviously, he learned it from his father.
"Seriously, 'Doctor Darling,'" I remarked, and everyone save Abheer burst out laughing. He huffed and folded his arms across his chest and scowled to show his displeasure.
"We'll talk about it later, but just bring me to normal. Right now, I resemble a pink panther."
"There's no need to change anything. You have the appearance of a lovely pink panther." Aarav tugged on Abheer's cheek, and Advik burst out laughing. All three of them are the same. Now probably there will an addition to the list. I placed my hand on my tummy and whispered.
"Please don't turn like any of them. Mumma can't handle one more like them." I said.
"What exactly are you saying? I'm not sure what I'll do with your husband and son if my hair doesn't return to normal. Take note of what I'm saying." He stated this while aggressively glaring at me.
"Why am I in this? What exactly did I do?" Aarav remarked.
"You may do whatever you want with them. They are all yours." I stated.
"Sachi. What am I going to do, yaar? Help me. Please" With a pout on his face, he said.
"I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do. Nobody ever changed the color of my hair to a pinkish hue."
"Oh! My shampoo is a clarifying one. It may work." I muttered this as I dashed to the restroom to get the bottle. I handed the bottle to him.
"Will it work?" With a hopeful expression on his face, he inquired.
I shrugged my shoulder and muttered, "Maybe, I'm not sure."
He responded, "I hope it works." I'm hoping it works as well. He looks adorable, but I doubt he wants to show up for his date with pink hair.
"You have to answer some of my questions. Don't you agree? What is the name of your 'doctor darling'?" I asked him.
"When you and Bhai got married, I met her in Mumbai." He said with a faint smile.
"You've been dating her for more than five years and haven't informed us; why have you kept it a secret for so long?" I was enraged.
"I am not dating her." He said. "What?" I asked him. Is he perplexed, or am I being made a fool by him?
"I will talk to you later. I should go and use this shampoo right now. Bye." He said and ran out of the room. "What was that?" I asked looking at Aarav. "I am as clueless as you are at this moment." He said. I went towards them and twisted Advik's ear.
"Mumma it is paining." He said pretending to be in pain. "If you ever repeat the stunt that you performed today on anybody, I will burn all the clothes that your dear chachu has got for you and will tell him to never get you anything," I said in a stern voice.
"Mumma, oh, oh, oh, oh, What do you mean by that? You're going to set fire to all of my stylish outfits. How will I make an impression on others? How am I going to find a girlfriend? Don't you want a daughter-in-law?" He stated dramatically. Drama king
"Is he serious about getting us a daughter-in-law so soon? He's only four years old." Aarav remarked, trying hard not to chuckle. I twisted Advik's ear a little harder this time.
"Sorry. I will never play this prank on anyone." he stated loudly. I walked away from him, and he began softly caressing his ear with a pout.
"Better. I'll lock you in your room for the rest of your life if I hear you talking about having a girlfriend and getting me a daughter-in-law." He seemed to be terrified.
"If I ever try to talk about my future girlfriend in front of Mumma, Dad, you have to stop me." I could hear him whispering in Aarav's ear. Aarav only nodded, attempting to keep his chuckle in check. It's impossible to be upset with Advik since he's so cute. He very well knows when to use it.
"Come let's get you ready." I said to him and he pouted. "Mumma it's so early let me sleep for one more hour Please. I woke up at 5 am." He said with a pout.
"You can stay awake for pranking people but now you want to sleep." I said and started moving towards him.
"Let him sleep till then you go and get ready." He said and lay down on the bed. Advik lied on top of Aarav. They both look so adorable while sleeping otherwise both are the devil. My devils.
I got ready and went to meet Abheer. I'm hoping his hair color has returned to its former state. I'm confident he'll flee as soon as he's ready to avoid answering anyone's questions. I went towards his room and knocked the door. When he answered the door, the first thing I noticed was that his hair was looking better than it had been. He still had some pink streaks here and there, but they weren't as noticeable. Someone would have to pay close attention to detect it. He allowed me inside his room.
"I know you have a lot of questions but, I don't have answers to any one of them. I know you are anxious to know what is going on in my life but at this moment even I have no idea what is going on in my life." He said softly.
"You are trying to imply that it is complicated." I said interrupting him
"Please. I'm not ready to share anything with you at this moment. I have no clue where I am heading with her. Whether I have a future with her or not?" I could see on his face that he is sad. Are they fighting or worse drifting apart?
"Is everything ok Abheer?" I asked him feeling extremely concerned about him."Yes, everything is perfectly fine. Don't worry. I will introduce her soon to you." He said and I smiled at him and left his room.
