On the other end of the phone, Mo Jingteng’s good mood couldn’t be maintained any longer. His tone became old and desolate, and as he listened to such a low stance, Mo Xiuchen’s face darkened.

“Alright, stop talking, Ranran and I will call you back when we have time,”

Even though he wasn’t in the country, he knew a bit about the situation in G City. Initially, Luo Haofeng and Qin Mu stayed in G City, and he knew that Mo Jingteng wanted either of them to take over as CEO.

Even though he hated Mo Jingteng, there was one thing Mo Xiuchen believed in. That was that Mo Jingteng cared deeply about the empire he had built his entire life. He cared more about whose hands his company could prosper under and under whose hands it would collapse.

Gu Kai squinted, chuckled and said, “Yeah, I did think he was indifferent at first. It turns out, after Mo Zixuan visited him, they talked about something that night and he was discharged.”

A hint of darkness flashed deep in Mo Xiuchen’s eyes. “Doesn’t your hospital have surveillance in all the rooms? How do you not know what they talked about?”

“Ranran, you are still in the process of recuperation. Why would you really go to work?”

In Shen Yuting’s office, Wen Ran and she sat on a couch. As she looked at Wen Ran, who seemed cheerful, she couldn’t describe the feeling inside her.

Wen Ran lightly said, “Sister Ting, I’m not finding work tiring. In fact, it feels like a form of exercise.”

“Xiuchen is going to work too.”

Shen Yuting looked surprised, “Xiuchen is going back to work? Wasn’t he supposed to take some time off? Is he going back to MS Group?”

“No, he’s going to a company in City C.”

“He’s going to City C, Ranran, aren’t you going with him?”

Shen Yuting was even more shocked, Wen Ran returned to work at Wen’s Pharmaceutical Factory, but Mo Xiuchen was going to work in City C. She remembered that it was Mo Xiuchen who agreed to let Wen Ran return to work.

Could it be that Mo Xiuchen let Wen Ran go to work to allow himself to leave?

Wen Ran hung her head low as if pondering the question while Shen Yuting watched her closely.

Shen Yuting blurted out. Seeing Wen Ran looking at her in surprise, she laughed off awkwardly and said: “What I meant was, Xiuchen is such a handsome and outstanding man. Do you really trust him to go to City C alone? Aren’t you afraid of the women there seducing him?”

Wen Ran chuckled, her tone teasing: “If he could be lured away, he won’t be Xiuchen.”

“But husbands and wives living separately isn’t a good thing, Ranran. If the pharmaceutical factory is busy, your brother can hire another person. You don’t need to be separated from Xiuchen.”
