“Compared to being a corporate president, I prefer to spend my time with you.”

Mo Xiuchen’s voice was low and calm. He didn’t need to try to sound gentle, yet his words were the most touching love confessions in the world.

A sweet warmth bubbled up inside Wen Ran. She looked at his handsome features, his delicate and perfect face, and couldn’t help but be infatuated.

Mo Xiuchen glanced at her in the rearview mirror and said no more.

In the car, for a long time, there was only the gentle sound of music flowing in the warm and romantic air. Lovers, even if they do nothing and say nothing, their hearts are still full of sweetness.

After a while, Wen Ran smiled and said, “Okay, once you resign as president, we can leave G City, first go and make up for our honeymoon. Once we’ve had enough fun, we can find another city to settle down in.”

“Xiuchen took me around G City; we didn’t go to a private place.”

Wen Ran answered leisurely, holding back a smile.

“Ah, you just went around G City? You didn’t go to a tourist attraction or a resort? No wonder I couldn’t find you.”

Bai Xiaoxiao seemed very surprised. Wen Ran was even more surprised to hear this: “You went looking for us? How did you get there?”

Bai Xiaoxiao grumbled dissatisfiedly on the other end of the phone before saying, “It’s all beacuse of that idiot Luo Haofeng. He said you were definitely at the tourist attractions. So, we ended up going to several nearby ones, didn’t see you there. We even went to two resorts, an amusement park, and finally even to a racecourse.”

“Pff–”

Wen Ran couldn’t help but giggle, “Xiaoxiao, it sounds like you and Luo Haofeng had a more romantic day than Xiuchen and I. We didn’t go to any of those places. With such crowds, how did you manage? Didn’t Luo Haofeng carry you everywhere?”

“Don’t make wild guesses.”

Bai Xiaoxiao warned from the other end of the call: “I didn’t get off, he went to look. If Mo Xiuchen’s car wasn’t there, he knew you hadn’t gone…I only got off once when we went to the amusement park, to ride the Ferris wheel.”

“Did Luo Haofeng accompany you?”

Wen Ran asked while suppressing her laughter, imagining them going on the Ferris wheel. With Xiaoxiao’s limited mobility, had Luo Haofeng carried or just supported her?

“Mhm, I couldn’t do it on my own, the staff wouldn’t have allowed it.”

No one would dare to let her ride alone given her condition.

“So, you didn’t find Xiuchen and me, but had a romantic day with Luo Haofeng instead. Xiaoxiao, did anything happen between the two of you today? Spill it.”

“What could have happened? He just thinks of me as a patient and takes care of me, you’re thinking too much.”

Bai Xiaoxiao’s voice was a little strange. Her words said one thing, but her heart was starting to sway the tiniest bit.

Especially during the trip to the amusement park. Luo Haofeng carried her out of the car and held her in his arms to the Ferris wheel in front of everyone. For her safety, he held her the entire time.

“What are your plans for tomorrow? Are you going to switch off your phones and have some private time again?”

Bai Xiaoxiao asked, changing the subject.

The bedroom door was pushed open from outside and Mo Xiuchen’s handsome figure entered. Wen Ran smiled at him and replied to Bai Xiaoxiao: “No way, we have to give New Year greetings tomorrow — how could we turn off our phones?”

At the very least, they had to go to her parents’ home and to the Gu family’s residence.

Wen Ran cheerfully agreed. The voice of Mother Bai came from the other end of the phone, Bai Xiaoxiao said goodbye and ended the call.

“Xiuchen, did Luo Haofeng call you?”

Wen Ran looked at Mo Xiuchen who was approaching her, her clear, bright eyes flickering with curiosity.

Mo Xiuchen smiled indulgently and raised his hand to tousle her hair, but she nimbly jumped away. His eyes narrowed, “Ranran, come here.”

“I’m not coming over.”

Wen Ran stood a few steps away from him, answering playfully. She wouldn’t be so silly as to go over and let him mess up her hair.

“If you won’t come here, then I will.”

Mo Xiuchen sighed helplessly, then advanced a step, pulling her into his arms. With his other hand, he reached up to her head and ruffled her soft hair, laughing heartily at her adorable expression, “Didn’t you ask if Ah Feng had called me?”

Wen Ran was trapped in his arms and could only watch as he messed up her hair in the mirror. She was helpless.

“I don’t want to know anymore.”

“Be a good girl, I’ll comb it out for you in a bit. Ah Feng did call. He even told me that he took Bai Xiaoxiao around G City looking for us. They couldn’t find us, so they ended up riding the Ferris wheel. He sounded very happy.”n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Mo Xiuchen looked at Wen Ran’s angry face and led her to the vanity. He made her sit in the chair, took a comb and gently combed out the tangles he had created in her hair.

Wen Ran sat quietly, her eyes soft as she stared at the two of them in the mirror.

“Ranran, is that better?”

Two minutes later, Mo Xiuchen leaned down, his hands resting on her shoulders. His handsome face was close to hers, his eyebrows were curved in a smile as he looked at her.

“It will suffice.”

Wen Ran lifted her eyes. Mo Xiuchen’s hand reached up to her head, and with a gentle pull, his lips met her soft ones. He spoke in a low voice, “Now, it’s time to take a bath.”
