Carlosâs icy gaze swept over the shattered antiques on the ground. He instructed Dayton, âMr. Ford is a guest. Even if he doesnât understand the etiquette, we should be gracious hosts. Let him smash away. Those antiques should have been replaced long ago. Remember to let him compensate at market value!â A few antiques were nothing compared to Neilâs health. But since James dared to cause trouble, Carlos had to teach James a lesson.
âStill pretending?â Carlos angrily retorted, âYou kidnapped my nephew to save your b*d. D*o you think no one would know about it? Donât forget that my family built the airport.â
Carlosâs eyes narrowed dangerously. âWho are you calling a ba***d?â
James sneered. âWhat? Am I wrong? Isnât Neil your b***d? Or is he your child with Miss Powell?â
Carlos rushed forward, grabbing Jamesâs collar with both hands. He warned fiercely, âNeil is my wifeâs son. He is most precious to me. If you dare to slander him in any way, Iâll disregard your family and hurt you.â
James pushed Carlos, but Carlos did not move. James mocked coldly, âWhen did you marry, Mr. Monroe? Nobody has heard. Are you that ashamed of your wife?â
There was a loud sound. Carlos had punched James. âDonât you dare talk s**t about my wife. Sheâs the best.â
James wiped the blood from his split lip with his thumb and licked it. How laughable was Carlos? Carlos was the one who had murdered his wife and child back then, and now he was acting like a good husband and father.
âThen, where is she?â James asked while throwing a fist.
Carlos sidestepped and found Jamesâs second punch waiting for him. This time, he couldnât dodge it and ended up stumbling back. His bodyguards immediately rushed in, surrounding James.
Jamesâs bodyguards were not to be outdone. They broke in and rushed into the

room. Tension rose. A fight was about to break out.
Ramon suddenly appeared, yawning loudly. He strolled over in slippers, looking like he had just woken up. âWhatâs this? A fight? Great! I havenât seen one in a long time. Go on. You guys can start.
Ramon peeled a banana, looking very relaxed. He looked as though he would love some popcorn now. Donât just stand and look at each other. Get going.â
âRamon!â James ba
en his tone softened, âAre you okay?â
Iâm fine. Uncle James. Look.â Ramon turned around in place.
âLooks like I am right. Mr. Monroe.â James pushed aside Carlosâs bodyguards and walked toward Ramon. âHeâs coming with me.â
Before Carlos could speak, his bodyguards stood in James and Ramonâs path, not allowing them to leave.
James turned around, his gaze cold as ice. âAre you making enemies of us. Mr. Monroe?â
Carlos said. âYou misunderstood, Mr. James. Mr. Ford is my guest and will be staying here temporarily.â
Ramon immediately responded, âYup. I promised to stay and cure his child. Itâs been years since Iâve had such an interesting patient.â
James glared at Ramon. âYou donât have to stay here. Donât you think I have a place for you?â
Ramon shook his head. âIs there anywhere more comfortable in Hiyon than here?â He then looked at Carlos. âI promised to stay until Neil is cured, but you must release my Sweetheart immediately!â
