𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒂 𝑺𝒕. 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒏

"The dick being wack is not surprising," Angela says. "He looks weak dicked."

I take a bite of my croissant and roll my eyes. "I was horny and in a frenzy. All I wanted to do was get laid."

She smirks. "Until that hottie with the body put you in check."

I scoff. "He didn't put me in check, okay? He just.....thought that the bartender was..."

"Weak dicked," Angela laughs and I laugh too. "It's been three days. I don't know why his words are still sticking with me."

Angela takes a sip of her lemonade. "Maybe because it's true?" I scoff and look at her sideways. "I mean, Maya the things you told me about your childhood. That's not a normal childhood."

"I know. I realized that when I went to my first friend, Emily's house and her Mom wasn't constantly judging her."

Angela sighs and rubs my arm. "Look, it's a big campus. You probably won't see him again. Don't let his words get to you."

We finish our lunch and split the bill. I look at my phone and see it's almost 1. "Shit, I'm going to be late for class," I say to Angela. "I'll see you later." I hug her goodbye and head back to campus. No money equals no car. Which means, I have to walk everywhere.

Maybe I should get a job.

I make it to class 15 minutes late. All the seats are taken. All the seats except one next to a really cute blonde boy. With adorable little glasses.

"Can I sit here?" I whisper. He looks up at me and his face breaks into a smile. "Of course." I slide into the seat and take out my computer.

The class continued as we learned about the formation of art, its history, and the greatest painters of all time. I could see out of the corner of my eye how the blonde boy's eyes lit up the entire class.

He was really cute.

After class was over, the blonde boy turned to me.

"I'm Gavin," he prompted.

He had light freckles that danced across his face. "Maya," I smile.

He smiles back. "I won't be here for the next couple of days. Could I get your number and you could send me the notes for this class?" he asks.

He pulls out his phone and hands it to me, I take his phone and type my number in. I saved my name as 'Cute Girl from Art Class'.

I had it back to him and he blushes.

"I'll see you later," he says and leaves.

I grab my stuff and as I was about to leave, a red-headed girl stops me.

"I just want you to know that he's mines. We may not be together yet, but someday we will," she seethes. I snort and look as her eyes rumble with anger.

"All I did was give him my number for notes," I say, still laughing.

"So, your name is Cute Girl from Art Class?" she retorts. Welp.

I roll my eyes. "Look, I don't have time for this nor do I care." I walk out of the classroom, still hearing the red-headed girl call after me.

I hear footsteps coming behind me. I expect it to be another girl, but it's someone else. "Don't mind her, she's been crushing on Gavin since sophomore year when he moved to our high school."

I look at her confused. Not because she explained a 4-year-plus crush, but just because she felt the need to go out of her way to explain. Like I care.

"Uh...okay," I say, and then turn the corner. Instead of going away, the girl continues to follow me.

I continue to walk a little faster, but she still manages to stay on my trail.

I stop abruptly and she bumps into me and falls.

"What. Do. You. Want?" I say, coldly. She gets off the floor and looks away. "Sorry. I just wanted to give you this," she says.

She hands me the pencil that I was looking for in the middle of class. I must've dropped it. I look up at her. "Thanks. But you should've said something instead of following me nonstop." She nods and her face becomes red. "Sorry," she says and then runs off.

Okay....

I'm on my way to head back to the dorm when I see something that stops me in my tracks.

I see Ryan backing some random girl into a tight corner. She looks really uncomfortable and she's clearly not strong enough to push him away.

I walk over to them.

I grab Ryan and pull him away from her. He stumbles which gives the girl enough time to run away. Once Ryan regains his balance, he turns to me and sneers.

"You shouldn't have done that," he says, lowly. I roll my eyes. "Oh, I'm so scared." Mother enrolled me in Taekwondo classes when I was younger. Graduated top of my class.

He struts toward me and I kick him in the balls. He staggers, quickly recovers, and comes back toward me. Before I can make another move, an arm slightly pushes me out of the way and throws Ryan against the wall.

"What type of sick fuck tries to hit a woman?" the guy says. His build was toned, tall, and muscular. Ryan was very tall and the guy towered over him. His back muscles contracted with each other, drawing my attention to them.

Kol.

Kol punches Ryan in the face once and knocks him out cold.

Oh.

Oh wow.

He drops Ryan and turns toward me.

"You're welcome," he says.

"I didn't ask for help," I say, still staring at Ryan.

I'm grateful, but I could've easily handled Ryan on my own. I'm tougher than I look.

"I have no doubt. The kick looked pretty deadly."

I look up at Kol to see him staring directly into my eyes.

He was watching.

We continue to stare at each other and it becomes intoxicating.

The way his almond-brown eyes sparkled in the reflective light. His jawline was contracting and it was sexy.

"Can I buy you lunch?" I ask. "For saving me," I say and put air quotes around the last part.

"Sure," Kol says and he begins to walk. I quickly follow him and feel my breath start to pick up at the thought of spending time and being alone with Kol.

Maybe I'll finally fuck him.

No.

I will fuck him.
