Chapter 751
Spoiled by the President
There was a sudden pain in his heart.
The forgotten memories seemed to resurface at that moment, the night breeze blew open the door of memory, opening the bitter past.
October 23, 2019.
A night four years ago, a person stood in the heavy rain and told him that she would appear in four years.
She would come to him.
Although it had been four years, he thought of the scene that night the past four years constantly.
He thought of the girlâs cold eyes and determined face in that heavy downpour.
Her small figure was thin like a piece of paper that could be washed away in the rain at any moment, yet those eyes were calm and determined like indomitable steel, also looked like a leopard creeping and waiting for the opportunity, waiting for the chance to give him a fatal blow!
Gregory closed his eyes and recalled all those scenes in detail.
For a moment, he laughed.
It was unknown whether he was laughing at the girl or laughing at himself.
He finally opened his eyes after a while. Gregory turned around and walked out without hesitation.
Meanwhile.
A womenâs prison three hundred kilometers away.
In the cold and humid cell, a thin figure sat quietly on the bed.
She lowered her head slightly, her tidy and short ear-length hair covered half her cheek, the dimmed light shone from the top of her head, her expression could not be seen clearly but her exquisite fair chin was vaguely visible.
The prison guardâs icy voice came from outside. â95201, youâve got a call!â
She raised her head, revealing a delicate but unconcerned expression.
There was a pause in the prison guardâs eyes before the woman got up and left the bed.
The iron door of the cell slammed shut behind her. She stretched out her hands and let the guard handcuff her before walking towards the mailroom on the other side.
A row of wired phones were placed on the desk in the mailroom. She walked over, picked up one of the flipped receivers, and held it to her ear.
âHey.â
The voice from the receiver was slightly coarse, yet sexy and sounded nice.
A girlâs clear voice came across, like a yellow oriole in the spring, full of joy. âSister! Youâre leaving tomorrow. Is it okay for me to pick you up?â
It was the voice of her half-sister, Jennie Taylor.
Vickie Thomas was stunned and did not react for some time.
Perhaps it was because she had not heard this voice for quite some time, or perhaps, she had never expected someone to pick her up after four years being in prison. She was once the notorious person who has lost her power and influence in which everybody would want to attack.
About half a minute later, she nodded gently and said, âOkay.â
The voice on the other end continued and sounded even happier due to Vickieâs agreement. âSister, did you know that Uncle Abramâs son who used to bully you was drowned in an accident last year. As I said, serves him right! As expected, evil actions will bring retribution, now itâs his time!â
Vickie thought about it for approximately five to six seconds before remembering who Uncle Abramâs son was as told by her half-sister.
It was her step fatherâs neighbor. In the past, he always tried to get close to her due to her pretty face when she was young.
The boy was not that much older, and only two years her senior.
They used to be impulsive and awkward when they were young. He would go after her and refused to give up even though she was cool as a cucumber and played hard to get.
Therefore he always found all kinds of excuses, brought his group of toxic friends, and gave her trouble to attract her attention. Hoping that he could leave some weight in her heart.
However, who was Vickie?
She was a big bully who roamed the streets since young. The mischievous kind who was able to escape all sorts of people plotting against her on her stepfather's side.
Since younger days, someone once said that Vickie was a mindful child.
If anyone wanted to do something bad to her, unless she was blinded or deafened or immobilized, they would never succeed.
Therefore, Vickie who was smart since young was able to see through the minds of these young people at a glance.
Naturally, she would never take this kind of person seriously.
Even though they had used countless methods against her, the gangsterâs techniques were too easy for her, she was able to resolve it easily without letting them know the flaws.
After so many years, if Jennie never mentioned it, she would not be able to remember such incidents.
Thinking of that, she paused for a while and said, âJennie, death is like a light that goes out, letâs forget the past! Accumulate merit and virtue by not talking bad about others.â
After hearing this, Jennie stopped talking regarding this topic.
Although the two sisters were half-siblings, they had a good relationship since childhood. In the years of Vickieâs accidents, Jennie was still very young and did not know most of the things.
Vickie vaguely remembered when she was sentenced to prison, Jennie cried and asked her why.
Vickie only said, âGo back and have a good life!â
Thereafter she left with the prison guard and never looked back at Jennie.
She was unable to tell her the truth. The entanglement between the adults should not be imposed on a child.
Furthermore...
Unsure of what she thought of, Vickieâs eyes darkened and her eyes gradually turned cold.
She answered Jennie perfunctorily over the phone. Only until Jennie was finished with her sentence, Vickie said, âLetâs hang up, we can talk tomorrow.â
On the phone, Jennie ended her lively conversation and hung up reluctantly.
Vickie put down the receiver and turned around.

Vickie was sentenced to four years in this prison and the guard in charge of her had always been this one.
A middle-aged woman in her forties, with high cheekbones, sunken eyes, fierce face, but kind-hearted.
While bringing Vickie back to her cell, the guard said, âI heard that youâre imprisoned due to manslaughter. Youâll go out tomorrow, live well in the future, and donât make any mistakes. Youâre still young, even after imprisoned for four years, there are still a lot of possibilities that lay ahead of you in the future. Donât give up on yourself, keep reforming. Do you understand?â
Vickie looked ahead and replied lightly, âI understand.â
The cell door opened, and she walked in.
She turned around, stretched out her hands, and let the guard uncuff her.
Vickie smiled lightly and said, âThank you.â
The prison guard was stunned.
The guard looked at her, for a moment her eyes were dazzled by the gentle smile.
She was still wearing the shabby prison uniform, with her usual face, as calm as still water.
At that moment, the guard seemed to see flowers in full bloom.
It was the first time the guard saw her smile after four years of imprisonment.
