Nell frowned, subconsciously resisting his forceful conversation style and his attitude.

The woman became more agitated as she spoke, and her tone had grown exasperated by the end.

Gideon’s eyes deepened.

“When did I say to give up your career?”

She spat out the words “if I have free time’ as if reminding him how unreasonable his words were and how much they hurt her self-esteem.

Gideon looked at the woman in the arms who was like an angry little cat and suddenly smiled.

Nell was steaming. When she saw that he actually had the nerve to laugh, it immediately added fuel to her anger and she was about to explode.

She struggled against him.

He let go of her waist and cupped her chin with one hand, forcing her to turn around.

The little woman was full of anger. Her clear eyes were red at the moment, and a layer of moisture filled her eyes as if she was holding back tears. It was as if she would burst into tears if he said just one more word.

Nell did not want to cry.

She was never one to cry easily, but it was a fact that she had been swamped with work these past few days, and her nerves were frayed. When she came home, the familiar environment had immediately calmed her mind and body.

After she was scolded by the man, all the bitterness and sorrow accumulated over the few days exploded.

She cried more intensely. Although she made no sound, the wide tear tracks crashed down her cheeks like beads on broken strings.

Gideon felt amused at her appearance.

All he could do was take a tissue and continuously wipe her tears for her.

In his heart, he loved her to death for her aggrieved yet stubborn appearance.

She had no idea how endearing she looked at this moment.

After an unknown amount of time, Nell finally cried enough and grew tired.

Then, she snorted like a little peacock who had just won a battle.

Gideon was momentarily dumbstruck.

He looked at his expensive sleeve which was covered in tears and did not know whether to laugh or cry.

After Nell got her “revenge’, she got ready to leave.

However, just as she stood up, her wrist was gripped and she was pulled down again.

“Ah! What are you doing?”

Gideon looked her tightly in his arms. His handsome face approached her, and his deep and dark eyes stared at her. He said dangerously, “You’re just gonna leave after bullying me, hm?”

Nell grew a little weak at his dark eyes.

However, she mustered the courage to lift her head. “You’re the one who bullied me first. I’m just returning the favor.”

The man smiled coldly.

“Returning the favor? That’s not a bad excuse. It seems that I should learn from your example.”

Then, he lowered his head and kissed her lips.

Nell froze in shock and widened her eyes.

The man’s kiss was very domineering. Even after struggling a few times, she did not manage to break free. Instead, the man exploited her movements and forcefully pried open her lips and teeth, invading her mouth.

The crisp breath that belonged exclusively to him washed over her, domineering and overbearing.

She quickly left in a panic.

Gideon’s face was as black as the bottom of a pot, and sternly shouted, “Get back here!”
