The next evening, Shivansh wasn't there. He had gone to attend a meeting in Bikaner. Kashi was sitting on the sofa while getting bored. " Let me make dinner for Shivansh ji." said Kashi and then went to the kitchen.
Kashi stood in the kitchen, her hands moving with practiced ease as she prepared the dishes Shivansh loved. Her mind wandered to the countless memories they had shared over meals, and a small smile graced her lips. As she worked, the aromas of spices and herbs filled the air, mingling with her thoughts of Shivansh.
Just as she was about to check on the simmering curry, Kaki entered the kitchen, her brows knitted in concern. "Kashi bitiya, what are you doing here? The servants can handle the cooking. You should be resting." said Kaki.
Kashi turned to her with a warm smile. "Kaki, I want to make dinner for Shivansh ji tonight. He's been so busy, and I just want to do something special for him." said Kashi.
Kaki's expression softened as she observed the determination in Kashi's eyes. She knew how much Kashi loved Shivansh and how deeply she cared for his happiness. "You're such a thoughtful wife, Kashi bitiya. Let me help you with anything you need." said Kaki.
"Thank you, Kaki, but I want to do this on my own. It's my way of showing him how much I appreciate everything he does for me and for everyone around him." said Kashi.
Kaki nodded, understanding the sentiment behind Kashi's gesture. She stepped back, allowing Kashi to continue with her preparations, but stayed nearby, ready to assist if needed.
As the hours passed, Kashi worked tirelessly in the kitchen, preparing each dish with love and care.
She made sure everything was perfect, from the spices to the presentation. By the time she was finished, the sun had begun to set, casting a warm, golden glow over the kitchen. Kashi wiped her brow, feeling a sense of satisfaction as she surveyed the array of dishes she had prepared.
Meanwhile, in the village of Bikaner, Shivansh was deeply engrossed in his work. He had spent the day meeting with the villagers, discussing their needs, and planning future development projects.
The gratitude of the villagers was evident in their eyes as they thanked him for all the efforts he was making to improve their lives.
As the day drew to a close, an elderly woman approached Shivansh, her hands folded in a gesture of respect. "Hukum sa, you've done so much for us. Please, have dinner with us. It would be an honor." said that old lady.
Shivansh hesitated for a moment, knowing that Kashi was waiting for him at home. But the sincerity in the old woman's eyes convinced him to accept the invitation. "Thank you, Maa ji. It would be my honor to dine with you all." said Shivansh.
The villagers quickly gathered around, preparing a meal for Shivansh. They served him with such warmth and generosity that he couldn't help but smile. As he sat down to eat, they brought out a variety of traditional dishes, each one made with love and care.
Shivansh knew he wouldn't be able to eat everything, but he started slowly, savoring the flavors and appreciating the hard work that had gone into the meal.
"This is delicious." Shivansh praised, his voice full of genuine appreciation. The villagers beamed with pride at his words.
After the meal, Shivansh requested that some of the food be packed for his wife. The villagers eagerly complied, packaging the food with great care. Shivansh thanked them sincerely before heading back to the mansion.
Back at the mansion, Kashi had finished setting the table, her heart fluttering with excitement at the thought of surprising Shivansh with the dinner she had prepared. She had just lit the candles when Ritika entered the room.
"Hukum sa is back, Hukum Rani Sa!" Ritika informed her, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Kashi's heart skipped a beat. "Get the food ready, but don't bring it out until I tell you." she instructed, a playful smile on her lips as she hurried out to greet Shivansh.
She ran down the hallway, her heart pounding with anticipation. As she reached the entrance, she saw Shivansh stepping inside, his expression weary but content. Without thinking, Kashi threw herself into his arms, hugging him tightly.
"Shivansh ji, you're back!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with happiness. Shivansh hugged her back, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Yes, I'm back." he said softly, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.
Kashi pulled back slightly, her eyes shining with excitement. "I have a surprise for you!" she said, unable to contain her joy.
Shivansh chuckled, his eyes filled with affection. "Before you show me, I have something for you too." he said, holding up the package of food he had brought from the village.
Kashi's smile faltered slightly as she looked at the package. "Did you eat already?" she asked, trying to keep the disappointment out of her voice.
Shivansh nodded, oblivious to the effort Kashi had put into preparing dinner. "Yes, the villagers insisted I have dinner with them. They were so kind, and they even packed some food for you." he replied.
Kashi forced a smile, trying to hide her feelings. "That's wonderful, Shivansh ji." she said, her voice a little quieter than before.
Ritika, who had been watching from a distance, felt a pang of sympathy for Kashi. She had seen how hard Kashi had worked all day to prepare a special meal for Shivansh, and now it seemed like all her efforts had gone to waste.
" Hukum Rani Sa spent the whole day in the kitchen, making all your favorite dishes." Ritika thought to herself, feeling sad for Kashi.
Kashi took the package of food from Shivansh and led him to the dining room, where the table was set with all the dishes she had prepared. She placed the food from the village on the table and sat down with Shivansh to eat.
As they began their meal, Kashi couldn't bring herself to mention the effort she had put into making dinner. She ate quietly, her thoughts elsewhere, while Shivansh talked about his day. She didn't have much of an appetite, but she forced herself to eat, not wanting to disappoint him.
After dinner, Shivansh received an important phone call and excused himself to take it in his study. Kashi, feeling drained from the day, went upstairs to their room and lay down, hoping to get some rest. She was exhausted, both physically and emotionally, and she just wanted to close her eyes and forget about the disappointment she felt.
As Shivansh spoke on the phone, his conversation was interrupted by the sound of Ritika and Jai talking outside the study. Their voices were hushed, but the walls of the mansion were thin, and Shivansh could hear them clearly.
"Jai ji, did you know that Hukum Rani Sa made a special dinner for Hukum sa? She spent the whole day in the kitchen, working so hard, and she didn't even eat herself." Ritika whispered, her tone filled with concern.
Shivansh's heart sank as he heard Ritika's words. He hadn't realized how much effort Kashi had put into making dinner for him, and now he felt guilty for not noticing. How could he have been so blind to her efforts? He ended his phone call abruptly, his mind racing with regret.
Without a second thought, Shivansh walked out of the study and found Ritika in the hallway. "Ritika, get the food that Kashi made." he ordered, his voice firm but tinged with guilt.
Ritika looked up at him in surprise but nodded quickly. "Yes, Hukum sa." she said, hurrying to the kitchen.
A few minutes later, Ritika returned with the food, which she had carefully reheated. She set it down on the dining table, and Shivansh served himself, determined to show Kashi how much he appreciated her efforts.
As he took the first bite, Shivansh felt a surge of emotions. The food was delicious, filled with the love and care Kashi had poured into it. He could taste the effort she had put into every dish, and it made him feel even worse for not acknowledging her earlier.
Just then, Kashi entered the dining room, having heard the commotion from upstairs. She stopped in her tracks when she saw Shivansh sitting at the table, eating the food she had made.
"Shivansh ji, what are you doing? You already had the food. " Kashi asked, her voice filled with surprise and confusion.
Shivansh looked up at her, his eyes softening as he met her gaze. "Why? I didn't want to hurt the feelings of my wife who spent the whole day in the kitchen." he said gently, his tone sincere.
Kashi's eyes welled up with tears as she realized what Shivansh was doing. He had gone out of his way to make sure she knew how much he appreciated her, and it touched her deeply.
She stood there for a moment, overwhelmed by her emotions, before turning and running back to their room, unable to hold back her tears any longer.
Shivansh quickly followed her, his heart aching as he saw the tears streaming down her face. He reached out and gently turned her towards him, his hands cupping her face. "Kashi, please don't cry," he whispered, his voice filled with concern.
Kashi shook her head, her voice trembling as she spoke. "I'm sorry, Shivansh ji. I should have told you that I made food for you. I'm so sorry." she choked out, the guilt evident in her words.
Shivansh's heart broke as he saw the pain in her eyes. He pulled her into his arms, holding her close as she cried into his chest. "Shhh...don't apologize, my love. I should be the one apologizing. I should have noticed how much you did for me." he said softly, his voice full of remorse.
Kashi clung to him, her tears soaking his shirt as she poured out all her emotions. Shivansh held her tightly, his heart aching as he realized how much he had hurt her without even knowing it.
"I promise, Kashi, I'll always appreciate everything you do for me. You mean the world to me." Shivansh murmured, his voice thick with emotion.
Kashi looked up at him through her tears, her heart swelling with love for the man who held her so tenderly.
They stayed like that for a long moment, holding each other close as they let their emotions flow freely. In that moment, they knew that no matter what challenges they faced, their love for each other would always prevail.
The sky had been overcast all day, the heavy clouds hinting at a downpour. As evening approached, the first drops of rain began to fall, lightly at first, then quickly turning into a steady shower. The sound of rain hitting the ground filled the air, a rhythmic symphony that brought a smile to Kashi's face.
She had always loved the rain, the way it seemed to wash away everything and bring a sense of renewal. As she stood by the large window in their room, watching the rain pour down, she felt a surge of joy bubbling up inside her.
Shivansh, who had just entered the room, noticed the look of excitement on Kashi's face. "What's got you so happy?" he asked, his tone teasing as he walked over to her.
Kashi turned to him, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "The rain, Shivansh ji! I love the rain. It makes me feel so alive!" she said. Shivansh chuckled, amused by her enthusiasm. "I didn't know you were such a fan of rain." said Kashi.
Kashi grinned, her excitement infectious. "There's something magical about it. Come on, Shivansh ji, let's go dance in the rain!" She grabbed his hand and started pulling him towards the door.
Shivansh hesitated for a moment, looking at the downpour outside. "Dance in the rain? We'll get soaked, Kashi." said Shivansh.
"That's the point! When was the last time you did something just for fun? Just let go and enjoy it with me."Â Kashi laughed, her eyes sparkling with the thrill of the moment.
Seeing the eagerness in her eyes, Shivansh couldn't resist. He had always found it hard to say no to Kashi, especially when she was this excited. "Alright, alright. But if we catch a cold, it's on you."Â he said, giving in with a smile.
Kashi's laughter echoed through the hallway as they made their way outside. The rain was coming down hard now, but Kashi didn't seem to mind. She stepped out onto the terrace, lifting her face to the sky as the rain drenched her, her arms outstretched in pure joy.
Shivansh watched her for a moment, his heart swelling with love as he took in the sight of her. Kashi looked so carefree, so full of life, and it made him want to join her in that moment of pure happiness.
He stepped out into the rain, feeling the cool droplets soak through his clothes almost instantly. The sensation was exhilarating, and before he knew it, he was laughing along with Kashi, the two of them twirling and spinning in the rain like children.
Kashi took Shivansh's hands and pulled him into a dance, her laughter mingling with the sound of the rain. She moved with a grace that mesmerized Shivansh, her wet hair clinging to her face as she twirled around him.
Shivansh tried to keep up, but he couldn't match her energy. He was too busy watching her, captivated by the sheer joy on her face.
"Come on, Shivansh ji! You can do better than that!" Kashi teased, playfully splashing water at him.
Shivansh grinned and decided to play along. He took her hands in his, pulling her close, and they began to dance more slowly, their movements synchronized as they swayed to the rhythm of the falling rain.
The world around them seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them in their own little bubble of happiness.
Kashi looked up at Shivansh, her heart pounding in her chest as she realized just how much she loved him. The rain, the dance, the closenessâthey all seemed to bring her feelings to the surface, making her want to express just how much he meant to her.
"Shivansh ji, I'm so glad I have you." she whispered, her voice barely audible over the rain.
Shivansh stopped dancing and looked down at her, his expression softening. "Kashi, you're everything to me. I don't know what I'd do without you."Â he said, his voice filled with sincerity. He cupped her face in his hands, his thumbs gently brushing away the raindrops that clung to her skin.
Kashi's eyes filled with tears, but she quickly blinked them away, not wanting to spoil the moment. Instead, she leaned up and pressed a soft kiss to Shivansh's lips, a kiss that spoke of all the love and gratitude she felt.
The kiss deepened as Shivansh wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close. The rain continued to fall around them, but neither of them cared. In that moment, they were completely lost in each other, their hearts beating in perfect harmony.
When they finally pulled apart, both of them were breathless, their foreheads resting against each other as they tried to catch their breath. Kashi smiled up at Shivansh, her eyes shining with happiness. "Thank you for this, Shivansh ji. Thank you for always being by my side." she said.
Shivansh smiled back, his heart full. "I'll always be by your side, Kashi. No matter what." he said.
They stood there in the rain, holding each other close, savoring the moment of pure, unfiltered love that surrounded them. It was a moment they would both remember for the rest of their livesâa moment that reminded them of the simple joys of life and the unbreakable bond they shared.
As the rain began to ease, Shivansh took Kashi's hand and led her back inside, both of them dripping wet but completely content. They exchanged playful smiles, knowing they would likely catch a cold, but it was worth it.
Once inside, they dried off and changed into warm clothes, still smiling from the experience. As they curled up together on the couch, wrapped in a cozy blanket, Kashi rested her head on Shivansh's shoulder, feeling utterly at peace.
"Promise me, Shivansh ji, that we'll always find time for moments like this, no matter how busy life gets."Â Kashi said softly,
Shivansh kissed the top of her head, his heart swelling with love. "I promise, Kashi. We'll always make time for us." he said.
And with that, they sat in comfortable silence, the warmth of their love wrapping around them as they watched the last drops of rain fall outside, knowing that they had just created another beautiful memory to cherish forever.
