As they exited the hall, Kashi's heart raced, not from the fear of what had just transpired, but from the overwhelming mix of emotions swirling inside her.
The opulence of the corridor, with its marble floors and gilded walls, felt cold and distant, contrasting sharply with the warmth of Shivansh's protective grip on her hand. Jai followed them closely, his eyes scanning their surroundings, ensuring no one approached them.
Shivansh finally paused in a secluded corner of the palace, away from prying eyes and ears. His hand still firmly grasped Kashi's, he gently turned her to face him. The soft glow of the nearby sconces highlighted the tension in his face, his jaw clenched, and his eyes dark with a storm of emotions.
Kashi, trying to steady her breathing, looked up at him. The man she knew was composed, controlled, a pillar of strength. But the Shivansh standing before her now was a man teetering on the edge of a dark abyss, consumed by a fierce, protective rage.
"Shivansh ji...Why... Why did you kill him?"Kashi's voice trembled slightly as she spoke, the weight of what had just happened bearing down on her.
Shivansh's expression softened at her question, but the intensity in his eyes remained. He reached out, gently caressing her cheek with the back of his hand. His touch was tender, a stark contrast to the violence she had just witnessed.
"Kashi, I have spent my life building an empire, forging alliances, and protecting what is mine. And you... you are the most precious of all. You are my wife, my queen, and I will not tolerate anyone, not even a single man, speaking ill of you or questioning your character." he began, his voice low and filled with a quiet intensity,
He took a deep breath, his thumb brushing over her cheek as he continued. "When I saw him insult you, I felt something inside me snap. I could not allow his disrespect to go unanswered, not when it was directed at the woman I love. Killing him wasn't just about punishing him for his words. It was about showing the world that no one, absolutely no one, will ever harm you or speak against you without facing the consequences." said Shivansh.
Kashi's eyes welled up with tears, but she wasn't sure if it was from fear, gratitude, or the overwhelming emotion of the moment. "But... to kill him... Shivansh ji, that's so extreme..." said Kashi.
Shivansh cupped her face in his hands, his gaze never leaving hers. "Kashi, I am a man who is used to taking extreme measures to protect what I value. And you... you are beyond value. You are my life, my everything. I cannot, I will not, allow anyone to stain your honor. Not while I'm still breathing." he whispered, his voice filled with an emotion so deep it made her heart ache.
He leaned in closer, his forehead resting gently against hers. "I know it was harsh, but I need you to understand... I would do anything for you, Kashi. Anything. I have lived my life with a certain code, a way of handling things that may seem ruthless. But when it comes to you, I am not just a ruler, I am your husband. And as your husband, your protector, I cannot bear the thought of anyone causing you pain." said Shivansh.
Kashi closed her eyes, leaning into his touch, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat against her. The world around them seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them in that moment. She felt the raw sincerity in his words, the unyielding love that drove him to such lengths.
"Shivansh ji, I don't know how to feel... But I do know that you've always protected me, always cared for me... I'm just... scared. Not of you, but of the lengths you're willing to go to for me." she whispered, her voice thick with emotion.
Shivansh pulled back slightly, just enough to look into her eyes. "I know, Kashi. I know. But you need to understand something. You are my world. Without you, all of thisâthis power, this wealthâmeans nothing. I need you to trust me, to believe that I will always do what's necessary to keep you safe, to ensure that no one ever disrespects you." he said, his voice softening even more.
He paused, his eyes searching hers, his thumb gently wiping away a tear that had escaped down her cheek. "You are the light in my life, Kashi. And I will protect that light with everything I have, even if it means becoming the darkness that shields you from harm." said Shivansh.
Kashi's heart ached at his words, but she couldn't help the small smile that tugged at her lips. "You're so dramatic, Shivansh ji... But I think I understand now. I may not agree with your methods, but I see why you did it. And... I do trust you." said Kashi,
Shivansh's expression softened further, a hint of a smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "That's all I need, Kashi. Your trust, your faith in me. As long as I have that, I know I'm doing something right." said Shivansh.
He leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead, lingering there for a moment as if grounding himself in her presence. When he pulled back, his eyes were filled with a tenderness that melted away the tension in her heart.
Shivansh cupped Kashi's face with both hands, his thumbs gently caressing her cheeks as he looked deeply into her eyes. "Kashi, I loved the way you stood up for yourself back there. The way you held your ground, the fire in your eyesâyou were magnificent."Â he said softly, his voice filled with both admiration and affection,
He took a step closer, his gaze never wavering from hers. "You didn't just stand up for yourself, Kashi; you stood up for us, for what we have together. It made me prouder than I can put into words. You showed everyone that you are not just the Hukum Rani Sa, but a woman of grace, strength, and dignity." he continued.
Kashi felt her heart swell with emotion as Shivansh's words sank in. The intensity of his gaze, the warmth of his touchâit all made her feel cherished, valued, and deeply loved. "Shivansh ji..." she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion.
He leaned in closer, his forehead gently resting against hers. "I will never let anyone disrespect you, Kashi. You are my pride, my strength. And seeing you stand up for yourself tonight... it only made me love you more."Â he murmured, his voice low and filled with determination. "
He tilted her chin up slightly, his lips hovering just above hers as he added, "You are everything to me, Kashi. Never doubt that. I will protect you, cherish you, and stand by your side, no matter what." said Shivansh.
Kashi closed her eyes, overwhelmed by the depth of Shivansh's feelings. She could feel the sincerity in his words, the unspoken promise in his touch. When she opened her eyes again, she saw nothing but love and admiration reflected in his gaze.
Back at the penthouse, Kashi was taking a shower meanwhile Shivansh was sitting on the bed waiting for his wife. When his phone rang. He saw Bhairav calling him. " Yes Papa." said Shivansh, " Very good Shivansh. You did the right thing. Those people and Abhi deserved to be killed. How dare they speak aganist my daughter." said Bhairav.
Shivansh smiled. " I know. That's why I killed him." said Shivansh, " Very good. Accha be home by lunch time. We want to have lunch with our daughter. " said Bhairav, " Okay." said Shivansh and then cut the call.
When Kashi came out wearing her night suit. Shivansh got up and came to her. He held her waist and then pulled her closer.
As Shivansh pulled Kashi closer by her waist, she felt her heartbeat quicken, the warmth of his body seeping into hers. His intense gaze locked onto hers, and she could see the playful glint in his eyes, a hint of mischief mixed with a deep, unspoken affection.
Kashi's voice was soft, almost hesitant as she asked, "Shivansh ji... what are you doing?" asked Kashi. Shivansh smirked, the corner of his mouth lifting in a teasing smile. " Nothing." he replied with a casual shrug, the single word carrying a world of meaning.
Before Kashi could respond, Shivansh leaned in, his lips pressing a tender kiss to her forehead. The touch was gentle, almost reverent, as if he were savoring the moment. Kashi closed her eyes, allowing herself to melt into his touch, feeling the sincerity in his actions.
But Shivansh didn't stop there. He trailed kisses down her face, first to her cheek, where his lips lingered a little longer, then to the other cheek, his breath warm against her skin. Kashi's heart raced as he moved lower, pressing a soft kiss on the bridge of her nose.
Kashi instinctively closed her eyes, her breath hitching as she felt his lips against her skin. The tenderness of his touch, combined with the overwhelming love she felt for him, made her feel cherished, like she was the only person in the world that mattered to him.
As Shivansh's lips hovered just above hers, she could feel the anticipation building. But at that moment, something stirred inside herâa discomfort, not because she didn't want him close, but because the intimacy was overwhelming. She wasn't used to being so vulnerable, and despite her love for him, the moment felt too intense.
Shivansh, always attuned to her feelings, sensed her hesitation. He paused, pulling back slightly, his eyes searching hers with concern. "Kashi, I won't kiss you unless you want me to. I would never do anything that makes you uncomfortable."Â he said softly, his voice a soothing balm.
Kashi opened her eyes, finding nothing but understanding and love in his gaze. She felt a wave of relief wash over her, grateful for his consideration. "Shivansh ji... It's not that I don't want you to... It's just... everything tonight has been so overwhelming." she confessed, her voice barely above a whisper.
Shivansh's expression softened, and he nodded, understanding exactly what she meant. "I understand, Kashi, we've been through so much tonight, and I know it's a lot to take in. I don't want to rush you or make you feel pressured." he replied, his voice gentle and reassuring.
He pulled her even closer, wrapping his arms around her in a comforting embrace. "We have all the time in the world, Kashi. Whenever you're ready, I'll be here. You just have to say the word." he murmured into her ear, his breath warm against her skin.
Kashi felt a surge of gratitude for this man who understood her so deeply, who was patient and loving even in moments of uncertainty. She rested her head against his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat, finding solace in the sound.
"Thank you, Shivansh ji. Thank you for understanding, for always putting me first."Â she whispered, her voice full of emotion.
Shivansh smiled, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of her head. "I love you, Kashi. More than anything in this world. Your comfort and happiness are all that matter to me." he replied, his voice filled with sincerity.
He led her to the bed, where they both lay down, Shivansh pulling her close once more. Kashi nestled against him, her head resting on his chest, feeling the warmth of his embrace. His arms wrapped around her protectively, as if shielding her from all the worries of the world.
In the quiet of the night, with only the sound of their breathing filling the room, Kashi felt an overwhelming sense of peace. She knew that with Shivansh by her side, she was safe, loved, and cherished.
And with that, they both closed their eyes, finding comfort and solace in each other's arms as they slipped into a peaceful sleep, the weight of the world momentarily forgotten.
The next morning, Kashi and Shivansh were ready to leave for Jaisalmer. Shivansh's car was heading towards it's destination. Kashi was looking outside and her face was shining in the light of the sun.
Shivansh was looking at Kashi who was enjoying the view. Shivansh was about to say something when suddenly the first car in the row blasted and getting burnt.
