21. She wants answers

2 days later, today was a Saturday and Shivansh was coming to pick Kashi. Kashi came out of her washroom while drying her hair with the towel. Her cream colored saree with baby pink colored blouse was kept there.

" I should get dressed before Shivansh ji coming here. " said Kashi. After that she picked her blouse and wore it. She then picked the saree and started to drape it. After that she picked her jewelry and wore it.

She just completed draping her saree when Meenal came there. " Hukum Rani Sa, Hukum sa has arrived." said Meenal. Kashi nodded. After that she came out of the room. She saw that Shivansh was sitting with Digvijay ji.

Shivansh heard the sound of Kashi's anklets and looked at her. He smiled and then got up. He moved his hand towards Kashi so that she could hold his hand. Kashi came forward and then held the hand.

Digvijay ji got up looking at Shivansh and Kashi. " Don't leave without having breakfast." said Digvijay ji. Shivansh nodded. He then looked at his wife. " How are you, Shivansh ji? How is Dada Hukum, Maa sa, Papa and Bua ji? " asked Kashi.

Shivansh was thinking that Kashi would ask how he is but she didn't. She took a deep breathe and then looked at her. " Everyone is fine. " said Shivansh. After that they all had the food.

Now it was time for Kashi to go back. Digvijay ji looked at Kashi who was a little emotional.

" Kashi agar Shivansh tumhe taang karta hai toh main tumhe gun de deta ho. Jab pareshan kare toh gun dekha dena ya better direct shoot kar dena."

"Kashi, if Shivansh troubles you then I will give you the gun. When he troubles you then show him the gun or better shoot him directly."

Prisha laughed listening to what Digvijay ji said. Shivansh held the hand of his wife.

" Uncle, hilter nahi ho main. "

" Uncle, I am not a hilter."

" Lagte toh ho."

" You look like one."

This time Kashi giggled because she wasn't able to control her laugh more and Prisha, she had gone mad while laughing.

" Now, we will leave otherwise we will be late and we are staying at Jodhpur. I have a meeting there to attend. " said Shivansh. Digvijay ji nodded. After that Kashi and Shivansh sat in the car and left from there.

In the car, Kashi who had a lot of questions in her mind, looked at Shivansh. "Shivansh ji,can I ask you something?" she asked. He looked at her. " Yeah, you don't have to ask this." said Shivansh.

Kashi took a deep breathe and then finally gathered a lot of courage to ask Shivansh this.

"Yeh shaadi... aapne sirf apne parivaar ke kehne par ki thi? Kya aap sach mein mujhse shaadi karna chahte the? Kya aap mujhe pasand karte hai?"

"This marriage... did you do it just because your family asked you to? Did you really want to marry me? Do you even like me?"

With this question, Shivansh was a little shocked. He looked at Jai and then nodded his head. Jai understood what he meant. Jai pressed a button and a partition opened between the front seats and the back seat.

Shivansh then turned towards Kashi and looked deeply into Kashi's eyes, his expression softening as he took her hands in his.

"Kashi, yeh soch bhi kaise aayi tumhare mann mein? Koi bhi mujhe kisi cheez ke liye majboor nahi kar sakta. Main apni zindagi ke faisle khud leta hoon. "

"Kashi, how did this thought even come to your mind? No one can force me to do anything. I take my own decisions about my life."

He then caressed the cheeks of Kashi while brushing off her hair strands that were coming on her face.

" Main tumse shaadi isliye ki, kyunki tum meri zindagi mein woh roshni ho jo har  andhere ko mita deti hai. Tumhare bina meri zindagi adhoori hoti. Jab main tumhare saath hoon, toh lagta hai jaise sab kuch mukammal ho gaya hai."

"I married you because you are the light in my life that dispels all darkness. Without you my life would be meaningless. When I am with you, I feel as if everything is complete."

Shivansh's words made Kashi freeze. " So from next time, don't ask me this question that I like you or not?" said Shivansh. Kashi nodded. Shivansh slowly kissed the temple area. Kashi blushed and then looked out of the window.

" Why are you blushing so much?" she said to herself. She looking outside because of the shades that were applied for the protection of Shivansh. Kashi looked at him. She wanted to remove the shades but wanted the protection of her husband.

Shivansh picked his laptop and then started to work on it. Kashi was getting bored because of it. She picked her phone and  then got busy with her phone. After a long drive they finally reached Jodhpur.

" Hukum sa, we are about to reach the pent house." said Jai, " Finally." said Kashi and then came down. Shivansh smiled. He also came down. Shivansh's servants were taking their luggage inside.

They were standing at the backside. Kashi looked at her husband. " Why are we at the backside?" asked Kashi, " Because, my private lift straight goes to my penthouse." said Shivansh while holding the hand of Kashi.

After that they both headed towards the lift. Jai had stopped the lift waiting for them. After coming inside the lift. Jai closed the door with the help of the button and then clicked the button for the top floor.

" Kashi, you would love the view of penthouse." said Shivansh. Kashi smiled. The door of the lift opened inside the penthouse only. Kashi ran towards the balcony to see the view. Shivansh smiled. He looked at Jai.

" Jai, prepare for my meeting. But before that take rest. You have been driving since morning." said Shivansh, " Sure Hukum sa." said Jai and then went to his room. Shivansh headed towards the balcony.

Kashi was standing there while looking at the beautiful Jodhpur. The sunlight was falling on the face of Kashi and she was keeping her hand in the direction from where the light was coming. Shivansh removed his coat and folded his sleeves up.

He kept the coat on the chair and then stood in the middle of Kashi and then sunlight. Shivansh was taller than Kashi so his shadow was falling on her and she didn't feel hot. " Kashi, let's go inside. Otherwise you would feel hot. " said Shivansh.

After that they both came inside. A servant looked at Shivansh. " Hukum sa, the food is ready as you ordered." said the servant. Kashi saw the dinner table and saw that Samosa, Chaat, Kachori and Bhel puri kept there.

" Wow Kachori, Chaat. " said Kashi. The servant looked at Kashi. " Hukum Rani Sa, Hukum sa ordered me to get these from the market." said the servant. Kashi ran towards the table and picked the plate in which the kachori was kept.

She picked it and then started have the kachori. Shivansh looked at the servant and nodded. he left from there. Shivansh sat down while picking his folk and knife. He picked the salad and then started to have it.

Shivansh looked at Kashi and saw some crumps of kachori near the lips of Kashi. He slowly picked that crump and then had it. She looked at him. " Why did you have that crump? You can have this also." said Kashi while showing him the kachori.

" No Kashi, I don't like street food. " said Shivansh, " Why?" asked Kashi, " Have you seen my body? I made this refusing to eat anything even my favourite food. " said Shivansh.

" Kabhi bhi na maan maar kar kuch kaam nahi karna chahiye. "

" One should never do anything against one's will. "

Shivansh looked at his wife and then at the food kept in front of him. He decided to give the street food a try because his little wife told him. He picked the kachori and then had a bite of it.

Kashi was looking at him only. " How is it?" asked Kashi. Shivansh nodded. " Nice." said Shivansh, " You will start liking these type of food when you will stay with me more." said Kashi, " I know." he said while looking at his cute wife.

Ajmer, Vedant was sitting in his office when there was a knock on the door of his cabin. " Come in." Vedant. When Prisha came inside. " Hello Kuver sa." said Prisha. Vedant looked at her and smiled.

" Good morning. Has Kashi left?" asked Vedant, " Yes Kuver sa. And this file, Kaka sent." said Prisha, " Thanks." said Vedant and then took the file. When he was taking the file, their hands touched.

They both were looking into each other's eyes when the door opened and Vikram ji, Vedant's father and the Raja sahab of Madhavgarh came inside with Digvijay ji. Prisha and Vedant looked at him and then moved away.

" Papa. " said Vedant and then got up. Vikram ji smiled. " I just came here to meet you, my son." said Vikram ji, " You should I have told me. I would have come to pick you." said Vedant, " If I would have come then how would I have met my daughter-in-law?" he said.

Prisha and Vedant looked at each other with confusion in their eyes. Digvijay ji came to Prisha. " Prisha, Kashi told me that you both like each other so I told Vikram and he is also happy to accept you as his daughter-in-law." said Digvijay ji.

Vikram ji looked at Prisha and Vedant. " So now tell me. Are you both happy with the engagement not?" asked Vikram ji. Prisha and Vedant were standing silently. Vikram ji looked at Digvijay ji. " So Digvijay looks like they are not happy with the decision. " said Vikram.

" No." said Prisha and Vedant together. Vikram ji and Digvijay ji laughed. Prisha and Vedant felt embarrassed. " Okay. So, we will fix the marriage date for you both." said Vikram ji, " Sure uncle." said Prisha.

Vikram ji got up and then came to her. " Prisha, you can call me Papa." said Vikram ji. After that he kissed the forehead of Prisha and then left from there.

Vedant and Prisha were left in the room after Vikram ji and Digvijay ji exited, their words still hanging in the air. A wave of emotions washed over Prisha, her cheeks flushed as she tried to absorb what had just happened. The reality of their engagement being fixed began to sink in.

Vedant watched her with a soft smile, noticing the way her eyes sparkled with a mix of joy and shyness. "So, we're really getting married," Vedant said, his voice gentle but filled with certainty.

Prisha looked up at him, her heart fluttering at the thought. "It seems so," she replied, a smile spreading across her face. "Are you happy with this, Kuver sa?" asked Prisha.

Vedant took a step closer, his gaze unwavering. "More than happy, Prisha. This is what I want... to spend my life with you. You make everything feel right."

Prisha felt a warmth spread through her chest at his words. She had always admired Vedant from afar, and now, standing so close to him, with their future laid out before them, it felt surreal.

"I'm happy too. I never imagined it would happen like this, but now that it has, I can't think of anything better." she confessed softly, her voice laced with emotion.

Vedant reached out and gently took her hand, his thumb brushing over her knuckles in a tender gesture. "I promise you, Prisha, I'll do everything I can to make you happy. We'll build a beautiful life together."

Prisha nodded, her heart swelling with affection. "And I promise to stand by you, through everything." she said.

For a moment, they stood there, just holding hands and letting the reality of their commitment settle between them. It was a quiet yet powerful moment, where the future seemed brighter, full of promise and shared dreams.

Vedant then led Prisha to the window overlooking the gardens below. "This view. It's one of my favorites. But I think it just got better." said Prisha. Prisha followed his gaze, her smile widening. "Because now we're looking at it together?" said Prisha

Vedant nodded, his heart full. "Exactly. Everything is better with you." said Vedant. Prisha smiled. " I just have to inform my parents. I hope that they also agree for the wedding. " said Prisha.

Vedant looked at her. " You and Kashi talk to them. I know that they would agree." said Vedant. Prisha nodded.

They stayed like that for a while, side by side, looking out at the world they would soon be navigating together, content in the knowledge that they were not alone in it anymore.

The air was filled with a gentle anticipation, a sense of beginning that wrapped around them like a comforting embrace.
