The resulting energy shockwave expanded with Xylas at its core, forming an energy maelstrom that spun around him.

“I’m surprised at how strong you are. It seems that you’re more powerful than Master Thundera when he was searching for Kenfort back then.”

Wade was visibly impressed by what he saw.

As for Grant and the other Paladins, they too were equally shocked.

“How can there be such a powerful fighter in the mundane world?”

Wade, too, had the same realization.

No wonder my son is willingly spending time with a woman. He isn’t blinded by her beauty as I initially thought. Instead, this female lord is the real stuff!

“Father, now that Master Thundera has returned, the broken Ecclesiastic Order has been reinvigorated. Moreover, he has more warriors from Kenfort than we do. Therefore, a direct confrontation would be disadvantageous to us. Why don’t we ally with my master against our enemies instead?”

Tactful in his speech, Xylas highlighted the powerful fighters Thundera had on his side.

No one could deny that Xylas’ plan was a good one.

Hence, Wade felt the impulse to make Gloria his ally.

As for Grant and his men, they, too, were convinced because of their lack of confidence against the enemy.
