Chapter 1785
The Protector levi garrison
The Lopez and Black families were excited about the news, but Leviâs objection wiped the smiles off everyoneâs faces. Including the ones from The Cardinal Hall.
It was supposed to be a happy event, but Levi ruined it for them.
âYou object? Why? Do you have a better place in mind? One thatâs better than The Cardinal Hall?â someone from the two families asked.
To that, Levi answered coldly, âI can teach her myself. Sheâs my daughter, so Iâll be the one to protect her. Not some organization like The Cardinal Hall.â
âBut Evie canât grow if youâre keeping her safe forever. I donât want her to grow up useless. She has to go through some obstacles on her own. Thatâs the only way she can grow,â Zoey argued.
â¦
Zoey had a point, and it made Levi think. He was willing to protect his family forever if he could, but Forlevia needed to grow up eventually.
She was different from the other kids, so she was destined to go on the cultivatorâs path. If he kept her by his side forever, it would stunt her growth.
However, Levi couldnât give her to The Cardinal Hall just yet. He was still worried. He didnât have full control over The Cardinal Hall, so if anything were to happen to Forlevia, he wouldnât be able to get to her in time.
True, he did send Forlevia to Wildefield, but that place was under his full control. However, this situation was different.
âThis is our decision, Crown King. And itâs an order. Ask the Dragonites if you donât believe us.â
They would take Forlevia with them what.
Zelda wasnât as aggressive, however. She persuaded Levi gently, âYou donât have to worry, Crown King. Your daughter is extremely talented. We promise you sheâll get the best treatment in The Cardinal Hall, and sheâll be on our top priority list. Evieâs going to lead the nation in the future.â
Gerald had stayed silent for the whole time, but he finally piped up, âThe Cardinal Hallâs the strongest organization in Erudia. Not a single sect can compare with us. And with how talented your daughter is, no oneâs going to hurt her.â
âLevi, your objection is vetoed!â
âEvie must be trained in The Cardinal Hall.â
â¦
The Lopez and Black families started scolding Levi, while Zoey gazed at him. She could understand his sentiments, but she knew they had to let their daughter go. âLevi. We canât protect her forever. Sheâll have to grow up and protect herself. Thatâs for the best.â
â¦
Levi didnât know what to do. He didnât want to let his daughter go, but The Cardinal Hall and the Dragonites had issued an order. Not to mention his wife and his family were putting pressure on him, and he had to think for Forleviaâs future as well.
God, what should I do? âFine. She can go, but only for a while. If I find out sheâs getting abused in there, Iâll be taking her home. No questions asked.â
Levi gave in eventually.
âThatâs fine with us. Sheâll be given time to adapt.â
âWeâll be taking her away now if thereâs nothing else.â
Kaiden and his team were in a hurry to take Forlevia away, but since they came all of a sudden, nobody was prepared for this.
âGive us a second. We wanna say goodbye to Evie.â
Everyone started saying goodbye to Forlevia. Zoey was the second to last in line, and she was a mess of tears when she bade goodbye.
Levi was the last one, and he was tearful. Forlevia was a good kid, so she calmed her father down.
Levi knew he couldnât handle the farewell, so he left early. He didnât want to see his daughter off, after all.
So he stood outside the residence and started smoking, but a few minutes later, Kaiden, his team, Zoey, and everyone surrounded him.
âHand over the child, Levi!â they yelled at him.
âHuh?â Levi was flabbergasted. âWhat the heck? Evieâs in her bedroom. I didnât take her,â Levi blurted.
âBullsh*t! Sheâs gone missing! I know youâre hiding her somewhere!â
