4 Paaaaaaaam!!!

Pam's POV. (After Yoko's commencement ceremony right before Yoko's graduation party)

Pam was peacefully cutting a costumer's hair at AMOR's Salon when she heard the audible ringing of her phone. On account of the salon's directive, Pam was not able to answer the caller immediately. The employees are not allowed to answer calls or messages during work hours, other than for emergency purposes only. They will know if it's an emergency since all their family members have access to the common number in the salon just in case an urgent situation comes up.

After all the finishing touches with one of the salon's patrons, Pam immediately checked her phone and was puzzled by the number of missed calls and messages from Faye. She messaged Faye instantly that it's fine to call her at the moment. Not even a single second had passed and her phone rang instantaneously....

Pam: "Yes Daddy Malisooorn, two orders of Tom Yum soup and three orders of Cha Yen and more treats for your gigantic Sunny Boi..."

Faye: "No, no and of course yes for the treats... Why in a hell do you need that hefty amount of food?" Faye asked me. I told her that my gf is coming over to pick me up because we have to do some errands together. She just chuckled at my response

Faye: "Anyway, listen Pam, I don't have much time. Please come and see me at my unit instantly. No questions asked. Please, you're the only one I can count on to."

Pam: "Tsk tsk tsk No can do lover Daddy I'm at the salon, I'm suuuure Tanya will appreciate it if I just log out to be elsewhere especially with you. I don't want to be unemployed by tommorow. Besides we talked about this Faye, I'm up until the end of December. I'm still waiting for my 13th month pay and bonus you know."

Faye: "No, you don't get it Pam. Just come up with any reason that you can. Please please please." Faye said while breathing frantically. Pam could almost hear Faye's weeping.

Pam: "Are you alright Faye. Is this about Yoko again?" still no answer, only a little whining could be heard on the line. "Okay, okay - I'll be there in a few."

While on the way to Faye's unit Pam was wondering if what's going on with her BFF. Could it be that Yoko rejected Faye's declaration of promise that she'll wait for Yoko until she was ready. Pam just sighs at the thought of another potential heartbreak for her close friend.

I got out of the car and went straight to Faye's unit. I didn't even need to ring the doorbel, Faye swiftly opened the door for me.

Faye: "Thank God you're here Pammy." she told me.

I held her hands and cupped her face and asked her..."Hey, hey tell me what's going on?"

Faye: "I'm leaving tommorow Pam. With a lingering uncertainty of when I will be coming back. Please take care of Auntie, the twins and also my Sunny boi for me and Yoko too, please check on her whenever you can." I was confused by Faye's revelation, thingking of where she might be headed to.

Pam: "Where are you going? Do you have an out of the country location shoot?"

Faye: "No, you don't understand. Just listen carefully, okay. Pay attention to every single word that I'm about to tell you." I just nodded at my friend, highly anticipating of what the revelation could be...

Pam: "Wait, oh my Gaaad Faye!!!! are you pregnant and you're planning to hide your pregnancy in another country. Who's the baby daddy common tell me 🙄" I told her with my eyes wide open while covering my mouth... She smacked my head lightly while coughing to herself at the thought of her being pregnant.

Faye: "Whaaat nooooo! Of course not. I just needed to be somewhere else to mend a broken heart-" Faye paused and sighed loudly... "I'm just kidding. Please don't ask questions anymore Pammy. In time when I come back from this ordeal, I will reveal to you everything. Just promise me one thing Pammy..." I nooded to her while clasping both her hands "...Please look after Auntie, the twins and sunny boi for me." I just closed my eyes and gave her an assuring soft smile and the same time allowing a few tears to fall on my face.

Pam: "Of course Faye, anything for you... and please keep safe also and take care of yourself. Why won't you tell me where you're headed to?"

Faye: "In time Pam - in time, when I get back to Bangkok, I'll disclose everything to you. But for now it's better that you know nothing of my whereabouts." Faye said while stairing outside the window of her condo.

We hugged each other tightly and sobbed a little, nah okay I cried a lot, she's my bestfriend you know as we bid our goodbyes.

After our heavy conversation, I slowly stood up to say farewell to my BFF one last time. As I was walking towards the door, Faye called me and handed me an envelope plus a key to a safety deposit box.

Faye: "There's a safety deposit box in Krung Thai Bank Pammy. Once the news of my disapperance comes out, go to this bank and just present the documents to the manager. They already know what to do. Don't mention to anybody that I contacted you before leaving, okay." I just gave her a thumbs up and hugged her one last time before walking out of her unit and reappering with the people on the street in a busy and crowded area of Bangkok.
