“I won’t,” Zhao Zhan replied seriously. “Our place is simple and crude. I hope you don’t mind.”

“Since we’re family, we won’t be shy. We just wanted to come and take a look. If we really can’t live here, we’ll go to town and rent a small courtyard if need be.”

The backyard really couldn’t be arranged for them to live in, and Doctor Sun just happened to live in the two most remote rooms. His courtyard was separated from the surroundings by a fence. Madam Zhang could not move the boxes full of books, so she could only point them out to Yue Jiaojiao.

“Later on, I’ll get Zhao Zhan to bring them back for you. You can pick the ones you like and read them slowly.”

Yue Jiaojiao was shocked by her generosity.
