Many of the Bai Family’s banquets were held at Mingtai Villa.

Bai Lian and Bai Shaoqi’s previous birthday parties were also held there, which isn’t considered the most luxurious place in Beicheng.

Bai Qiming paused for a moment before saying, “This time, it will be at Jiahao. I will go there tomorrow.”

Jiahao Hotel, a global chain of hotels, was Beicheng’s most luxurious venue for hosting banquets, frequented by political and business dignitaries for their soirées.

Securing the banquet floor would cost six times more than Mingtai Villa. Even Bai Shaoke’s scholar celebration banquet was held there.

This wasn’t something the butler could simply secure with a phone call.

Not expecting Bai Qiming to choose this, the butler bowed his head, thinking that Bai Shaoqi’s status in the Bai Family was different from before.

The cellphone on the table in the living area started ringing.

She tied the sash of her robe and, holding a towel, went out to answer the call. The curtains in the room were drawn, and she leaned casually against the table.

On seeing the caller ID, it was Xu Nanjing.

“Little sister Bai Lian, today is the Dragon Boat Festival,” Xu Nanjing’s voice was cheerful.

Bai Lian’s thoughts drifted back, and she wiped her hair leisurely, “Mhm.”

Xu Nanjing, picking up on her tone, tried to gauge her mood. Though he was usually skilled at reading people, he felt somewhat uncertain with Bai Lian, so he probed, “The college entrance exams have just finished.”

He wasn’t a recent school leaver and hadn’t paid much attention to the exams, but he remembered that this year was Bai Lian’s.
