Chapter 82

The Grace Of Not Marrying Back Then.

Hidden Marriage - Amazing Husband 【Finale】

Vani forced herself to calm down and said, "Mr. Pratap, I might have offended you because I'm stupid and didn't say the right things. However, that wasn't my intention. I don't have any intention of threatening you, nor do I have any intention of driving a wedge in your relationship with Mr. Pratap. I'm really here to ask for help."

She hoped that this would still salvage part of the situation.

Isha raised her eyebrows and said calmly, "Don't you think your sincerity came too late?"

"Mr. Pratap, I..."

Isha raised her hand and interrupted her. "Miss Vani, I'm just a small artiste. Although I'm with Mr. Pratap, I don't have the right to interfere in his work matters regarding investments. That's his freedom, just as I don't wish for him to interfere in my work. So, go find someone who's in a position that can talk to him about this matter. Forgive me for not being able to help."

"Mr. Pratap, I'm really anxious. My family is about to go bankrupt. My father is also old. If anything happens to him, I'm afraid I'll lose him forever," Vani said as tears slowly fell.

It was not that Isha did not have sympathy, but Vani's previous actions had already worn away her sympathy. If Vani continued to do this, it would only increase Isha's feelings of disgust toward her.

Isha stood up and paid for the order. "Guilt-tripping is useless on me. That's your father and your family's business, not mine. If you have time to cry here, why don't you think of a legitimate plan? Miss Vani, please excuse me as I'll be taking my leave now."

She walked slowly out of the café.

Vani subconsciously clenched her fists. She really didn't expect to encounter such a tough nut to crack. Ish Pratap didn't even budge.

She originally thought that a man like Shivam was the most difficult to deal with. However, he did not expect that a man like Ish Pratap, who hit the nail on the head and did not give anyone face, was also difficult to defeat.

As soon as Isha walked out, Shivam called her.

Isha was not surprised. After all, Shivam's trusted assistant was following her now. When Shivam found out about Vani, he must have caused a huge commotion. Just now, she had already discovered that there were several bodyguards around her.

Shivam was really too careful. Was he worried that Vani would attack her?

She smiled and picked up the call. "Yes, I'm out of the café now."

"You don't need to bother with someone like that, and you don't need to see her again next time. I'll get someone to send her away."

"But Vani brought up her identity as an ex-fiancee. When the time comes and she really makes a fuss, who will believe that you didn't know her at all back then? Everyone will only think that you cheated on her and abandoned her. They'll think that I, the third party, interfered in your relationship and made Vani leave."

Shivam's voice was gloomy. "Isha, are you deliberately trying to anger me?"

"I'm just being honest. If she goes out and makes a scene, it'll be ugly. I at least want to know what she's up to."

"I'll find out exactly what she's up to. Also, you mentioned abandoning her and all that. Are you sure about that?"

Hearing the cold voice on the other end, Isha knew that Shivam was angry. Her voice softened. "Of course not. I'm just afraid that others will say that. I don't want us to be criticized."

"Go home first. I'll be right back." Shivam hung up.

Isha stuck out her tongue. Was she too sarcastic? She must have been influenced by Vani just now. She didn't know the right words to say and kept nitpicking.

Of all things, why did she learn how to be sarcastic from Vani?

Isha rushed home. Instead of going upstairs first, she sat in the car and waited for Shivam in the underground parking lot. When she saw the familiar low-key black luxury car, Isha immediately got out and stood there waiting for him.

Shivam's gaze flickered when he saw the woman. He pursed his thin lips slightly, and there was a hint of gentleness in his eyes.

Isha ran forward and opened the door for him. She smiled and said, "Honey, you're back!"

"Yes. If I didn't come back soon, I'd be accused of abandoning you." The man's voice was a little cold. He got out of the car and stood in front of Isha.

"I didn't mean that. Are you still angry?" She took his hand of her own accord. He tried to dodge but she refused to back away and clasped her fingers around his hand.

It was just a simple gesture, but it was filled with unspeakable possessiveness.

"Yes." His tone still sounded unhappy. His dark eyes were slightly hidden as if he were hiding his true emotions.

Isha pulled away, put her hands on his shoulders, and kissed his eyebrows. "Feeling better now?"

The man's eyes remained narrowed, making it impossible to read his true thoughts.

Isha licked her lips before kissing him on the lips, gently pressing on his thin, beautiful lips.

Shivam laughed softly and didn't hold himself back anymore. Actually, he wasn't really angry with her. He had always spoiled his woman. How could he be angry with her?

It was just that her kiss tasted too good, and he was a little greedy.

He tightened his grip on her waist and suddenly pulled her into his arms, making up for the unfinished kiss. Only then did his dark eyes ripple with satisfaction.

"Oh, you lied to me!" Isha realized and her cheeks puffed with anger.

"If I didn't lie to you, I wouldn't receive such good treatment." Shivam's tone was filled with confidence.

Isha snorted. 'How scheming!'

"But if you're not angry, why did you rush back?"

"I got someone to investigate Vani. On the day I registered my marriage with you, I got Grandma to write an annulment letter for her. This was also filed at the lawyer's office as I was afraid that such a problem would arise. Back then, I didn't think of getting married because I had feelings for her, so there naturally wouldn't be any loopholes in the arrangement."

"No wonder she lacked confidence. In front of me, she used all kinds of words to provoke me. She tried to threaten me so that I'd put in a good word with you for her."

Shivam narrowed his eyes and said, "On the way just now, I received the results of my assistant's investigation. Vani sent her photo over at her father's request. Back then, there were countless people who wanted to marry into Pratap Group.

"However, she had someone she liked, so on the day we were supposed to get married, she didn't show up. Instead, she went abroad with the person she liked and ran a small company."

"Now, that person's company is in trouble. Vani's father helped, but the outcome didn't improve. Instead, the two companies are in trouble at the same time. Only then did Vani place her target on me."

"In that case, she didn't cling to the Pratap family and gave up everything for true love," Isha said. "However, she really underestimated me. She thought that I'd give up my mutual trust with you for that little threat of hers."

"If she had come to me earlier, I might have helped her on account of her refusal to marry me back then. But now, since she has already tried to control you, she has completely destroyed this possibility." Shivam's tone was cold.

Vani might not have expected that she would mess things up by coming to look for Isha Sharma.

Shivam had always been tolerant, but matters to do with Isha were an exception.

Vani had personally ruined all her chances.

Thinking of Vani's methods, Isha also felt that it was better not to get involved. She even said things like new lover and old lover, making others think that she was really Shivam's former flame.

"I've already handed it to Hari. Leave her alone." Shivam accompanied Isha upstairs.

After going upstairs, Isha sat on the sofa and read the script. Shivam went to his room.

While Isha was reading, Shivam reached out and handed her something.

"What's this?"

"The annulment letter for Vani. It was given to her on our wedding day. This is the backup copy." Shivam's tone was deep, and his distinct joints held a thin document.

Isha paused for a moment and took it. She had run away without a trace the day she married him and only reappeared five years later.

Yet he had prepared for everything, even cutting off all avenues of escape just to wait for her.

What did she do to deserve the trust and love of this man in front of her?

Shivam sat down beside her. "Vani's matter is not a big deal at all. I think she knows that she's in the wrong, so she doesn't dare to come to me directly. She said that she has some sort of relationship with me, but I've never even met her. What relationship can there be?"

Isha placed the food on the sofa and whispered, "Shivam, what do you want me to do? I seem to love you more and more."

"I don't mind... being loved a little more by you." Pulling her close, he pressed his forehead against hers.

The intimate, coy atmosphere spread between them.

...

Vani was indeed in the wrong. The Vani's family had volunteered to hand over her photo to the Pratap family, and no one had forced them. Vani was also the one who decided not to show up on their wedding day. Not only did the Pratap family not find trouble with her, but they even sent an annulment letter over.

Back then, the Pratap family was really benevolent.

Initially, she thought that she would never have to beg Pratap Group in her life. As long as they ran their business properly, it was fine as long as they did not touch Pratap Group. There would always be a way out.

However, the world was unpredictable. It had forced her to this point. She could either go bankrupt or beg Shivam.

She was not confident to beg Shivam, so she could only approach Ish Pratap, an easier target.

In the end, it turned out that Ish Pratap was not a pushover but a tough cookie.

Immediately after, Hari told her to stay away from Ish Pratap. Pratap Group would let bygones be bygones, but there would be no next time.

Vani knew that this was the last chance Pratap Group would give her.

But what could she do?

Her boyfriend's company was on the verge of collapse. Every day, he was chased around by his creditors. Her father's company was about to collapse, and she could not fork out any money.

In the entire S Country, there were very few people who could help her father and boyfriend. The only person who could help them was Shivam.

"Vani, try again." Happy grabbed her hand. "We've thought of all the other ways we can think of. Others won't give me a chance at all. Now, only you have some connections with Pratap Group. We can still count on Pratap Group. If you don't give it a try, I'll really be cornered!"

"I've already tried. Be it Shivam Pratap or Ish Pratap, I was the one who did something wrong. It's good enough that Pratap Group isn't pursuing the matter. If I go again and anger Shivam, I don't know what will happen." Vani didn't want to see Happy like this, but she was really helpless.

"Vani, why did Shivam choose you back then? It must be because he at least had some feelings for you. At least he once liked you. So many women sent over their photos but Shivam selected you after a glance. Have you thought about it? This is your advantage and your opportunity!"

Vani pushed him away. "What exactly are you thinking? Who do you think I am? Do you want me to get the investment in that way?"

Happy knew that he had misspoken and went forward to hug her. "That's not what I meant, Vani. You've misunderstood me. I just want to say that Shivam must have some fondness for you, even if he doesn't have any feelings for you. Think about it. You didn't marry him back then, but he didn't say anything, right? He even took the initiative to give you an annulment letter. Think about it. If you go to him again, he might be soft-hearted..."

Vani's heart was a mess.

The man in front of her was her true love. For years, she had been willing to do anything for him. Back then, she could have married into the Pratap and family. It was such a great opportunity and a chance that everyone dreamed of, but she did not want it. Instead, she went overseas for this man.

Now that he was facing such a dilemma, she really could not bear it.

Besides, this matter concerned the survival of her father and her entire family.

Happy adjusted his clothes and said again, "Vani, if you don't help me, I really won't have a future anymore. If you help me, our future will still be long. Our lives will be bright and brilliant."

Vani looked at the man she loved in front of her. She hooked her arms around his neck and threw herself into his arms. "What else can I do? Tell me, what else can I do?"

...

Not only did Vani's matter not become a sore point for Isha, but it also became a catalyst for her and Shivam's relationship. The deep relationship between the two of them became stronger.

At night, Shivam made sure she had a long night.

The next day, Isha, who came to the set as Ish Pratap, felt that her legs were extremely weak. She felt like she was floating.
