Chapter 146
Presiden's wild wife
Elena looked outside the window and a familiar figure was passing by. It was Mason, who was walking in a hurry without noticing them in the car. But Elena just gave a quick glance, showing no care about him.
âAre you okay?â Logan looked at her with care.
Elena took a deep breath, âIt doesnât matter. He never cares about me and I donât care about him now.â
âGive me the recording, and I will handle it from here.â He held her hand tightly.
Elena agreed, leaning back.
He raised his hand to touch her hair. She turned to him, smiling, âThen I will rely on you from now on! You have to take good care of me for the rest of your life.â
Logan opened his arms to embrace her, âMy pleasure.â
She leaned towards him with affection and tenderness.
After a snow, it got really cold in H City. The windows were covered with a layer of frost. George was discharged from the hospital. But he didnât go back to the Brownsâ villa first, but to the home of Logan and Elena.
Elena couldnât help thinking Grandpa George was actually a child when she saw his face, âGrandpa, you can stay here whenever you like, but you shouldnât come here without informing other people. What should I do if they blame it on me?â
âWhat are you afraid of? Donât be afraid. Come on, I will protect you.â George insisted.
Logan sighed, âGrandpa, donât be willful.â
âI am not willful! Iâm here to save my life. What if someone in that house wants to hurt me again?â He snorted. He insisted to sit on the couch, seemingly he wouldnât leave the coach that day. âAnyway, I will stay here, whether you like it or not!â
Elena didnât know how to persuade him, so she just accepted it, âAlright. Alright! Stay as you like. I will ask Mia to clean up the room for you.â
As soon as she finished her sentence, the doorbell rang. Mia went to open the door and was stunned when she saw the people outside, âSir? Why are you here?â
Hearing Miaâs yelling, Grandpa George was tensed at once. Logan glanced at him. He guessed that Grandpa George would stay here just because they might come here.
Cornel came in with Jacqueline and Yolanda, looking at them sitting on the sofa. Then he pushed Yolanda and said, âApologize to Grandpa and Elena! Now!â
Yolanda was reluctant, but her wound hadnât healed yet and she still remembered how painful she was, so she stepped forward and lowered her head, âGrandpa, Iâm sorry. I am so wrong that I even tried to set Elena up...Iâm really...sorry!â
Elena raised her eyebrows, showing her surprise. Apparently, she didnât know what happened.
She looked at Logan for an answer. She wondered how Cornel made Yolanda admit her mistake.
Logan seemed to understand what she was thinking now. They looked at each other. The atmosphere around them was just for them only. No one could step in between them.
Grandpa George looked serious, âYolanda, I know that you have always hated me that I donât pay enough attention to you. You think I just take Loganâs side. But this time, you are deadly wrong!â
âI know. Grandpa. Itâs all my fault! And I never hate you. I mean it!â Yolanda nodded obediently and docilely.
George looked away then.
Jacqueline tried to persuade Grandpa George not to blame Yolanda anymore, âDad, just let it go. You donât know what Yolanda suffered when you were not at home. Cornel punished her so badly. She had to rest in bed for couples of days. She just gets better today.â
âHump!â George snorted, âI also had to rest in bed in the hospital for couples of days! Donât you remember?â
Yolanda was angry about what Jacqueline said, which was not helpful at all, âMom, donât make any trouble. Itâs my fault! I deserve the punishment!â
Grandpa George seized the chance and played innocent in front of Elena and Logan, âNo one made a mistake. Itâs all my fault. Itâs me who pamper you all the time, which makes you so arrogant!â
âDad, itâs not the truth. Itâs not your fault!â Cornel persuaded.
George didnât listen, âYou should go home. I wonât get hurt here. I donât have to be afraid all the time!â
âGrandpa. Please! I really want to apologize to you. Please, go home with us.â Yolanda half-crouched in front of him and begged him.
Cornel looked at him, but he didnât want to say anything against him, so he asked, âWhat can we do so that you are willing to go home with us then?â
âI wonât go with you!â George was angry. The next second, he grasped Elenaâs hand tightly, âBefore I can see my great-grandson, I wonât go with you!â
Elena was surprised to know why he insisted to stay here. It was a bit funny so she couldnât help laughing.
However, Logan didnât smile at all. He looked at him, saying in a calm tone, âI am afraid you canât see any great-grandson if you insist to stay here.â
âWhat do you mean?â George looked at him with puzzlement.
Jacqueline understood it and she explained, âDad, if you stay here all the time, how can they get close enough to make a baby? Donât stand in their way!â
George was unsatisfied, but when he saw Loganâs unhappy face, he decided to call a stop, âAll right. Then I will go home with you now.â
Yolanda was too happy to support herself well and nearly fell to the ground. But fortunately she held the couch and didnât get hurt.
Before George left, he said to Elena in earnest, âElena, try hard to have a baby. Logan couldnât do it. You should work harder.â
âGrandpa...â Elena felt so embarrassed.
Logan gave him a sharp stare, âIf I canât do it, she canât do it, either. She is my wife. She can only have my baby.â
George found that he said something wrong, showing embarrassment. But Elena didnât mind and urged, âGrandpa, they are waiting for you. Get in the car. See you next time.â
âAlright!â George nodded. But seemingly he wasnât willing to leave them, looking back at them for several times.
After they left, Elena took a deep breath and felt relieved. It was not easy to make Grandpa George leave.
As soon as she entered the house, Logan grabbed her hand with a naughty smile, âMrs. Brown, you should work harder.â
Elena pushed his chest slightly as punishment and complained, âAre you teasing me? In Grandpaâs style? Donât make fun of me! Itâs not funny!â
Logan smiled and squeezed her hand.
Elena didnât pull back her hand. Actually, she enjoyed being held by Logan.
It was windy outside; Elena was trembling because she felt cold.
Before she could feel warmer, she received an unpleasant call. It was Mason, yelling to criticize her, âElena, did you visit Emma again? What did you say to her? Now she is mad! She is completely mad!
