Chapter 114
Presiden's wild wife
As Elena expected, just less than an hour after Anna left the villa, Grandpa George immediately called Logan. Elena was going to explain, but Logan took the phone and went to the balcony himself.
âGrandpa,â Logan said respectfully.
But Grandpa George was furious, âAre you really respecting me as your grandpa? Our family have been friends with the Lees for generations. But now you are not willing to help Anna and even kicked her out!â
âYou want her to stay in my home?â Logan asked calmly.
âOf course, she is our Anna! What is wrong with that?â
âGrandpa...â Logan sighed, âDonât you know that she is a time bomb here?â
âWhat the hell are you talking about? Donât bullshit me. I only ask you for one thing. Get her back, now!â Grandpa George demanded it like a boss.
âGrandpa, my wife and I are living in our home. Why do you want Anna to stay with us?â Logan started to lose his temper.
Grandpa George never thought about this and became silent at once. Obviously, he was caring too much about the relationship between the Browns and the Lees so that he ignored Elenaâs feelings. âElenaâs a good girl. You can talk to her and she will get it.â
âJust talk to her and she will get it? How?â Logan didnât want to argue with Grandpa George.
Noticing Loganâs silence, Grandpa George said carefully, âAlright, I wonât ask you to get Anna back to your home. But you have to help her find somewhere to settle. And be absolutely nice to her!â
âI know what to do.â he said coldly. Obviously Logan was pissed off by what Grandpa George said just now.
Grandpa George felt worried and asked, âAnna really bothered Elena? Hurry up! Explain to her for me. Itâs not what she thought and I didnât mean that.â
âSheâs fine.â
âThank God.â Grandpa George was relieved.
But Logan frowned, âDonât ever do this again.â
âWell, I am you grandfather. And I just simply asked you for one favor...â Grandpa George couldnât help but start his nagging.
âWell then, I assume that you donât want Elena and me back to the Brownâs Villa, huh?â Logan said this on purpose since he knew Grandpa George always wanted them back to visit him more often.
As Logan expected, Grandpa George compromised at once, âAlright, as long as you promise to come back more often, Iâll agree to anything you ask for.â
Logan felt better and reminded, âBesides, I donât want anyone to mention anything about Anna and me again.â
Grandpa George agreed immediately, âSure, it is all in the past. And now you are married. I wonât talk about the relationship between Anna and you again.â
Seeing Grandpa George starting his nagging, Logan hang up the phone.
As Logan returned, Elena stared at him to read his face but she failed. She asked, âWhat did Grandpa say?â
âHave a guess?â He came up with an idea.
Elena could tell everything was fine from his tone, so she was at ease. But she didnât want to be teased by him, either, âI refuse to guess.â
âGrandpa said...â Logan paused on purpose, waiting for her reaction.
Elena was curious and asked, âWhat did he say?â
âHe said that you should carry out a wifeâs duty.â Logan chuckled.
âA...a wifeâs duty?â what was that supposed to mean? She should satisfy her husbandâs needs? In what way? Elena flushed at once and she completely refused to believe it, âI bet he did not say that. You are lying!â
Logan said confidently, âHe said it himself.â
âNo way!â how could Grandpa George talked about this!
Logan pretended to know nothing and said in an innocent tone, âWhat? As my wife, itâs your duty to take good care of me and help me when Iâm in need, right? Whatâs wrong with that? And What are you thinking?â
So that was what he meant? And she was overthinking? Oh, gosh, how embarrassing!
âOr are you thinking about the duty in our bed, my darling?â Logan was about to laugh.
Elena shook her head immediately, âNope, I was thinking exactly the same as Grandpa George. I...I didnât... â her voice was getting lower and lower...
Logan laughed slightly, and he held her in his arms. Elena looked at him and asked suddenly, âHas Mason ever contacted you recently?â
His smile froze at once. But he quickly composed himself and shook his head, âNope. But he may contact you recently and you should get prepared mentally.â
He subconsciously held her more tightly, feeling bad when thinking of the DNA report he got. Elena wasnât Masonâs biological daughter. Every time he thought about it, he felt lucky that she grew up safely.
Fortunately, he met her anyway. Otherwise, he couldnât imagine what would happen to both of them. Or perhaps, they might be passers-by.
Loganâs hug was so tight that Elena could barely breathe. She hurriedly pushed him and laughed, âWhy are you holding me so tightly, huh? I am not going to fly away.â
âYeah, I know. But I am just afraid that you might fly away like a butterfly, leaving nothing but the lingering fragrance. And then I will never find you again.â
âWhat are you talking about? I am not a butterfly or something like that.â Elena chuckled.
âYeah, so you wonât fly away.â
âSure!â Elena smiled. She cupped his face and became a little confused, âLogan, what is wrong with you? You are weird.â as if he was keeping some secrets from her, which made her uncomfortable.
âAm I?â Logan lowered his head.
Elena looked at him very carefully. She nodded her head and then shook it. âI donât know. I just never see you through.â and even if she made efforts, she couldnât make it.
Logan sighed slightly, âElena, what will you do if you find I keep a secret from you?â
âWell, it depends. If you are cheating on me, I will...â Elena made a face and threatened him with her fist.
âWhat about something other than betrayal?â
Elena sensed something and stared right at him, âSo you are really keeping some secrets!â
Logan decided to change the topic. He caressed her face and kissed her on her lips, âIf I lie to you, itâs for your good.â
