"But I tell you all of my crushes..!" Bianca whined unfairly to him as Y/n straightens up as he shot her a knowing look when she pouted in front of him.

"Are they really crushes if it's a new person almost every week?" He told her with a slight furrow his brows as he tilts his chin upward and her lips pursed at the question before rolling her eyes.

"Besides, aren't you dating blake?" The H/c haired teen asked her curiously but also in accusation as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Correction! We're seeing each other, which is very different from dating." She explained with a playful hum and then she reaches over to grab his arm as she held it.

"Now tell me which girl you like and I'll stop bothering you."

"Are you guys coming to the Meat Ball this Friday?" Jasper asked them as the H/c haired teen blinked and then rose his brows in confusion.

"..Meat Ball?

"I'm gonna ask him, you'll see.." The blonde mentioned confidently as she sighed at his words and threw him a knowing glance.

"Really? You're seriously gonna ask him before you even tell him about--you know.." She stated while motioning her hands at him and Henry froze before averting his gaze.

"Her."

"..Where'd you come from?" Henry questioned as he turned his head to look at her with a very confused and concerned expression.

"Doesn't matter.. so what's up?" Veronika asked him as she chuckled and raised her eyebrows at the boy curiously.

"I let you go on two conditions, that you'd stop spraying graffiti all over Swellview and that I'd help you find the person you're looking for." He proceeded to explain as the Wall Dog rolled her eyes at him and she scowled.

"In other news yesterday, Swellview's own Captain Man was att*cked again by the elderly woman who's come to be known as "The Mad Granny." Trent announced with his hands clasped together that sat on top of the desk.

"What the--OW! AGHH!" Captain Man shouted when he felt the object hitting his head as he fell to the ground and the grandma continued to smack him repeatedly.

He screamed and shouted in agony as he reached for the camera recording the entire thing.

"And speaking of Captain Man, he'll be on hand tomorrow in Swellview Park, where the Vice Mayor will be hosting the official dedication of Swellview's first public bathroom that was built way back in 1898." Trent explained as he turned his chair around slightly to face Mary.

Henry watches as Y/n tried to explain something to the Blake while he popped some popcorn into his mouth from his own souvenir he bought.

They both talk for a bit before the H/c haired teen offered some of his popcorn to Blake as the other male smiled and he nodded as the two began to share.

"Who--cares if he's nice!?" He snaps back at Charlotte as he puffed his cheeks and he shot a glare at both Blake and Y/n.

"He can't BE next to him!"

"Why not? You two clearly aren't dating and you haven't been honest with him lately." Charlotte remarked as she crossed her arms over her chest with a raised brow towards the blonde.

"Wait.. So why do you care exactly?" The hero suddenly asked him as he moves his attention back to the short boy and Henry shrugs in response.

"I don't."

"Then what was all that about?" Charlotte questioned as Henry's lips firm slightly and he turned away.

"Nothing.."

"Then why were you so--" Ray trailed off as the blonde doesn't let the male finish as he spun around to face them.

"Because I like him!! There! Is that what you wanted to hear?" Henry exclaimed as he threw his arms up and he squeezed his eyes shut.

"I really, really like him!" He tells them as his cheeks flushed a bright pink and he places a hand over his forehead.

The old woman's hand trailed down his torso as she finds the old healing injury and she gripped the area harshly.

The H/c haired teen grunts as he inhaled sharply at the pain as he grimaced and his teeth clench together.

She kept a painful grip on it before letting go and she pushes him to the side.

He lands on the ground with a grunt as he watches her quickly climb over the fence and he hurriedly got up.

She jumps over the chained fence as she hops onto the other side and she turns to glance back at him for a split second before she successfully escaped.

H/n watches her for a few more seconds before hitting the fence with his fist in frustration.

"Henry.. what are you doing here?" Y/n asked him as he frowned at the blonde curiously and Henry hesitated before finally speaking.

"I need to talk to you."

Veronika scrunches her nose as she turns to look at the sidekick and Henry turns away from the teen to give her a glance.

"Who is this..?" The Wall Dog asked as her eyes narrowed at him in suspicion and Henry doesn't hesitate to move to stand between the two as he lightly cleared his throat.

"Veronika.." He calls as he raised his hand and slowly gestures toward Y/n with a genuine expression evident on his face.

"This is Y/n.."

"You know.. the one you've been telling me about?" He murmured sheepishly in a soft tone as Henry watches Veronika nearly stop breathing as she processed what he had just said.

"....what?" She questioned as she slowly turns her head to look at the sidekick before snapping her attention back to the teen in front of her.

The H/c haired teen met her gaze as he slowly nodded his head to agree with the blonde and his lips parted to speak.

"..Hi, Veronika." Y/n greeted quietly as he took a step forward and he nudges his head towards her.

"Or at least.. that's what you go by now." He mentioned softly and his eyes scanned for her reaction as he kept talking.

Veronika stood there frozen as she had yet to comprehend what was happening and her eyes were widened.

"It's been a while.." He explained as an image of nine year old Veronika flashed into his mind at that very moment.. including the day he left.

"Almost about five years already.. I remember when you were at least a few inches shorter. You were so much smaller--" He tells her before he was cut off by the Wall Dog lunging forward as she brought him closer into a tight embrace.

Y/n's arms wide open when she suddenly hugged him as he hesitantly but slowly wrapped them around her to hug her as well.

She holds him tightly as she tucked her head on his shoulder with her eyes squeezed shut and a warm silence washes over them.

Henry watches them silently from the sidelines as Y/n peered up at him with a nod.

'Thank you.' The H/c haired teen mouthed as the blonde read his lips and then met his gaze.

Henry stayed there for a couple moments before stepping away and he walked off to give them a moment.

"So what made you want to stick around in Swellview?" Veronika's question doesn't surprise the teen as the two sat on the green bench in the park while talking and Y/n looked down at his shoes with a small sigh.

He was aware he couldn't tell her about his first time meeting Ray and how he became H/n. Especially when he didn't think someone like her could join a graffiti gang as he shrugged his shoulders lightly.

"I don't know.."

"A lot can change even when you least expect it. I was lucky enough to keep going after they kicked me out." He commented as he leaned his elbows on his thighs and he frowned.

𝐅𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊;

An image of Ray holding his hand out to shake (11-12) year old Y/n's hand as he nudges his head at the boy.

"You sure have a lot of guts, kid."

"I can use someone like you while going out crime fighting.. What's your name?" The man asked him as the hero stared down at the boy in curiosity and Y/n glances down at his large hand before meeting his gaze and shaking it.

"..Y/n."

𝐅𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊 𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐒;

He snaps out of his thoughts as he shook his head and then turned to Veronika with furrowed brows.

"What about you? Last time I saw you, you were still back at the orphanage." He questioned as he looked at her in wonder and the Wall Dog leaned back.

"What happened?"

Veronika pondered for a moment before letting out a scoff at the memory as she glances somewhere else.

"Actually, I ran away a few months after you left." She mentioned as she crossed her arms over her chest and she shrugs.

"Everything was too noisy and irritating." She added with a slight disgusted tone as she scrunched her nose and then turned her head to look at him.

"I hated it there. You should know better than I do how terrible that place was." The Wall Dog said as Y/n thought silently and a small silence fell over the two of them before Veronika spoke again.

"I remember when you used to make me those paper boats and fill up a bucket with water and then put the boat on top so it would float." She tells him with a small chuckle and Y/n listened closely as he nodded.

"Promising that if both of us were to ever to leave the orphanage, we'd find each other again and travel the world together."

"No adults, no supervisors.. Just Us. Nobody else." She reminded as Y/n had forgotten about what he had told her and started to feel a little guilty for keeping an empty promise.

"..We should do it." Veronika mentioned out of the blue as Y/n snaps out of his thoughts to look to her and he furrowed his brows.

"Do what?"

"Leave Swellview, travel somewhere.." The girl said as Y/n stiffened slightly in his seat and Veronika moved to stand up as she continued.

"We can go to Europe, London, maybe even Metroburg." She explained as she listed the few areas they can visit and then turned to face him.

"Veronika.." He spoke as he moved to stand up as well and she grinned at the H/c haired teen.

"Maybe we can even rent out a boat!" She replies a bit excitedly as Y/n shook his head and he places his hands on her shoulders to get her attention.

"Veronika!" The teenager called a bit louder as he felt even more remorseful when she stopped talking and he frowned.

She looks up and met his gaze as she quickly saw how serious his expression had gotten and his hands slowly fell from her shoulders.

"Listen, I...I can't go with you." He told her as his lips firmed and she raised her eyebrows at him in confusion.

"What? Why not?" She asked him as the H/c haired teen swallowed and he let out a small sigh before speaking.

"I already started a life here. I have a job, friends.. even a nice place to stay. It doesn't seem so bad here." He explained as Veronika rolled her eyes and shook her head.

"..Swellview has always been my home. And well, it's always been your home too." He mentioned truthfully as she scrunched her nose in disgust and she scoffed.

"Not so bad? It's my home too? What has this town ever did for me.. for us even?" She spat as she scowled and she jabs a finger at his chest in accusation.

"We were nobodies, Y/n. We were orphans for godsake sake and now you suddenly care--about them?" She questioned in disbelief as she frowned and he stayed silent.

"They didn't want to adopt us. They didn't even want to adopt you, Y/n!" Her voice rose in frustration as Y/n's eyes don't waver and he continued to gaze at her.

"How badly they treated you back there.. How disgusted they were when they found out what you were." She retold as she gritted her teeth when he showed no reaction to her words and she huffed.

"You think everyone in Swellview won't treat you the same way? All they care about is their stupid laws, their beloved mayor and even dumb Captain Man." The Wall Dog spat as she grabbed him by the collar of his shirt/top.

"Captain Man put all the Wall Dogs in jail. They were the closest thing I had as a family but now they're all behind iron bars because of him."

"Why do you think I still graffiti and retaliate against them? Huh?" She asked him as he gave her a pitiful look and she continued to ramble.

"Why do you think I dressed up like the Mad Granny and even go out of my way to humiliate him on live TV by smacking him with an umbrella!"

"I pushed Captain Man off a damn cliff! And I stabbed H/n! For you. I did it for you!!" She blurted out loud as Y/n stared at her silently for a moment and then he lowered his gaze.

"Come on, Y/n. I thought you were better than this." She bluntly said as she watches Y/n sigh and he tucks a hands into his pocket before he replied.

"You know.."

"At a point in time, I did consider finding you again. Run away, leave it all behind and set sail on a boat." He admitted truthfully in a soft tone as he glances up at her with a remorsed yet regretful expression.

"..And you're right. I am better than this.. but, so were you." He commented as he slowly lifted his hand to take out the tape recording device he had and her expression falters.

The sound of heavy footsteps approaching as three police officers ran over and one of them blew a whistle.

An officer grabbing and pining Veronika's arms behind her by surprise as the police man detained her.

"Wait a minute..! Let go!" She shouted as she struggles to get away and Kid Danger makes his way back to Y/n's side.

Veronika looks up in mixed shock and anger as she glared at the two boys and scowled.

"You called the cops on me!?" The Wall Dog hissed as Y/n shook his head and he crossed his arms while turning to the sidekick.

"Nope. Did you?" He asked Henry and the blonde thought for a moment before shaking his head as well.

"No. Not at all." Henry added as Officer #2 moved around the park to search the area and Officer #1 turned to the girl.

"Veronika, Aka. Berenice Vozenilek. You are now under arrest for vandalism, destruction of property, theft, terrorizing the peace and two counts of attempted murder." The man announced as she glared at him and Officer #2 finds a backpack hidden behind a bush.

He grabs it as he made his way over to the first officer and he began to open it as Veronika struggled to break free.

"Hey! Leave my backpack alone!" She protested angrily as the officer looked up as he glared and pointed at her with a deep voice.

"NO!" He shouted as the H/c haired teen blinked at his straight response and Henry turned to Officer #1.

"Officers, how'd you find out where she was?" The blonde questioned as the officer turned to them.

"Easy. We got a large tip from H/n himself telling us who the Mad Granny could be. We also got a DNA sample from the umbrella she dropped back at the ceremony, it confirmed his and our suspicions." He explained as Officer #2 began to take out a granny wig and other pieces of clothing that formed the grandma disguise as he showed the other officers.

Officer #2 shoves everything back into the backpack once he was done as Y/n taps Officer #1 on the shoulder and handed over the recording device.

"You should take this. It's a recording of her confessing everything on tape." He told him as the officer nodded and he took the recorder from Y/n's hands.

"Thank you for the help, boy, but we'll take it from here now." The officer replied as the H/c haired teen nodded and the three police men began to drag her out of the park.

"I'll come and visit you, Veronika.. I promise." Y/n tells her reassuringly with a small frown as she looks over her shoulder and she glared at him.

"..Don't bother." She spat as they took her away and the two boys watched before the blonde turned to face him in confusion.

"How'd you know Veronika was the mad granny?" Henry asked him curiously as the H/c haired teen looked at him and he chuckles lightly.

"It was after I left the ceremony when I went to chase after her.. I figured an old woman wouldn't be so light on her feet like she was." He explained as he gave him a small shrug and Henry nodded in agreement.

"And when I caught up to her, she put up a fight. She even grabbed me on the spot where she previously stabbed me in." Y/n told the short boy as he winced at the slight memory and then managed a smile.

"But if it wasn't for you.. then Cap would've had to deal with her for months." He stated as he sighed and tjem reaches a hand up to ruffle Henry's blonde hair.

"Thank you, blondie." The H/c haired teen said as a warm blush crept to the other boy's cheeks and Henry cracked a small grin in return.

"No problem.."

"But uh, are you gonna be okay? I thought you two were really close." Henry questioned as he blinked and he tilted his head and Y/n retracted his hand back to his side.

"We were.. but that was before I took an oath. If I had known she joined the Wall Dogs earlier before I became committed to the whole hero thing, I might have done the opposite." Y/n mentioned as he averted his gaze with a long sigh escaping past his lips before shaking his head.

"Right." Henry mumbles as he acknowledged how hard it was for Y/n to even make this type of decision especially when it involves someone you know or knew.

The sidekick thought for a long moment before his eyes widened a bit in realization.

He still had to ask the teen to meat ball as he had forgotten the most important part out of all and he cleared his throat.

"So uh, do you want to.." He began as the H/c haired teen glances back at the boy curiously and Henry chuckles awkwardly.

"I mean-- I don't know.. do you want to maybe--" Henry hesitantly trailed off as Y/n looked at him expectantly and nodded for him to keep going.

"--come by my house later?" He managed to blurt out as the blonde stiffened and he mentally facepalmed in embarrassment by the question that fell from his lips.

Y/n had to process what he said before he hides the slightly amused smile crawling to his face and he cleared his throat.

"Yeah. Sure.. I just need to report back to Ray first and then I'll text you when I get there." He replies as he gave him an awkward smile and Henry nodded in agreement.

"Great.." Henry said as Y/n takes a step back and he chuckles before waving a hand at the sidekick and he walked away.

The blonde watches him leave before slapping a hand to his forehead and then hurried back the direction to his house.

Charlotte stood in the living room of Henry's house as she sets down a plate of [flavorite flavor/] cookies and moved around some bowls of fruit on the coffee table.

Henry walked out from the small hallway that led to the garage and laundry room behind the stairs as he looked everywhere.

"Hey, are there any more candles?" He asked Charlotte as he pointed in the direction close to her and she nodded.

"Yeah, I got two more." She said as she walked to the opposite side of the room to grab the decorative candles.

"Cool, put them on the coffee table." Henry mentioned as the girl nods and she heads back to her previous spot to set them down.

"Okay! You go get the flowers from the counter." She tells him as the blonde immediately grabbed the mini flower decorations in his hand from the end table behind the couch.

"Where do I put the flowers?" He asked her as he approached the spot where she stood in the living room and she shakes her head.

"Put them anywhere." She ushered as the blonde places them in the middle and he jogs away to grab another plate of snacks from the kitchen.

Charlotte adjusts everything on the coffee table as the front door opened and Jasper walks through the doorway cheerfully.

"Hey, guys!" He greeted the two as he strolled inside and he steps further into the living room with a bag in his hand.

"Jasper? What are you doing here?" Charlotte asked the boy as she was genuinely surprised to see him as the blonde looked up and approached the curly haired boy.

"We thought you were locked up in juvy for wazzing in the ladies' room." Henry said with a short chuckle as he smiled in amusement while nudging his head at his best friend.

"I was, but my grandma bailed me out." Jasper told them as he places his hands on his hips with a light grin.

[A/N: I know its his mom that did that but I might just end up changing it up a bit when it comes to mentioning his parents/or guardians since his own mom does somewhat neglect him in the show .. so I'm using his nana. I'm making it make sense. sorry.]

"Well, that's great--but you got to leave. Y/n's going to be here any second." Henry mentioned as he helped Charlotte move the plates on coffee table and Jasper blinked.

"Wait, I thought you didn't like Y/n anymore?" Jasper questioned as he gestures a hand at him while placing his hands on his hips and Henry turned while shaking his head.

"I do, I texted him and he said he was still coming later tonight." Henry explained as the curly haired boy furrowed his brows in confusion and tilted his head.

"Why?"

"So I can ask him to the meat ball." The blonde told him with a slight smug curling to his lips and he grinned with excitement.

Jasper nodded in understanding as he grabs the bag he put down and he began to walk away.

"Cool, but I need to talk to Piper." Jasper mentioned as he pointed a finger to head upstairs and the blonde groaned.

"Noo! You can yell at Piper later." Henry said as the curly haired boy stoos walking and he made his way back over to the two.

"I'm not going to yell at her.." Jasper replied with a small sigh as he sets the bag down on the coffee table gently.

"Look, it was my fault that I broke her glass hat, so voila." Jasper stated as he reached into the brown bag and he carefully holds up another version of a glass hat that he purchased recently to show them.

"Whoa!" Henry gasped as the blonde reaches his hands out to hold it as Jasper handed it to him carefully.

"You found her another glass hat?" Charlotte questioned in awe as the curly haired boy nodded at her with a proud grin.

"Yeah, I met this kid in juvy who hooked me up." He began as Henry took a closer look at the glass hat and attempted to put it on his head before taking it off shortly after.

"Apparently it's the last one in America! It cost me 200 bucks." Jasper explained with his hands on his hips while tilting his head cockily and he smirked.

"Aw, that's so sweet of you." Charlotte commented as she smiled at the kind gesture and she crossed her arms over her chest.

"Thanks!"

"Now, where's Piper?" Jasper questioned as he was curious to where the short tempered little girl was and Henry shakes his head.

"She went next door to borrow a sledgehammer. So, why don't you come back tomorrow after school and then we can.." The blonde mentioned as he started to guide Jasper to the door while he held the glass hat in his left hand.

"--Hey, I got it!" Piper shouted as the door that led to the backyard closed shut and she entered the house.

"Oh. Hey, Piper!" Jasper greeted when the little girl walked into the living room, holding a sledge hammer.

"Jasper? I thought the cops took you to jail." She replied with a slight bitterness in her tone at just the sight of him and Jasper shortly nodded.

"They did, but--"

"Wait! Is that a glass hat?" Piper interrupted him when she looked over his shoulder and spotted Henry holding the hat near the front door as the blonde spoke.

"Yeah, it is."

"Jasper brought it for you." Charlotte chimes in by the kitchen as she carried a container of lemonade in one hand and Piper gawked while eyeing the frail object.

"Wait, it's a real one?" She questioned as Jasper nodded his head and he smiled proudly at the little girl's shocked expression.

"Yep! The last real one in America." The curly haired boy added as Piper turned to face him and the sound of the doorbell rang behind Henry.

"Aah!" The blonde yelped as he was startled by the faint noise and he fumbles to hold the glass hat in his hands as he nearly drops it.

"COME INN!" Piper exclaimed loudly to the person on the other side of the door as she craned her neck upward.

"Noo!! That's Y/n!" Henry hissed as he began to usher the two and Charlotte out of the living room towards the back.

"You guys have to leave before--" Henry tells them as the front door to the house openedand the three turn their heads to see a familiar girl in a red plaid skirt walk inside.

"Hey, Henry.."

"...Chloe?" The blonde murmured in shock as his eyes widened at the sight of his ex girlfriend standing at the doorway.

"I'm back from the woods." She spoke in a soft teasing tone as she smiles and the glass hat manages to slip through Henry's fingers.

The glass shattering instantly as Piper steps beside him in horror when she witnessed her brother dropping it on the floor.

She clenches her hands around the sledge hammer with a loud shriek.

"HENNNRRRYYYY!!!!"

"You smashed my replacement glass hat!" Piper exclaimed at him frustration as she shook the sledge hammer in her hands while the boy remained frozen in shock.

Chloe stands at the doorway with an awkward smile as Charlotte takes a step towards Piper and snatches the hammer from her hands quickly.

"Yeaah.. why don't I hang onto this until you calm down?" Charlotte tells her in a concerning and wary tone as she took the tool with a slight pat on the hard metal before she steps back.

Henry finally snaps out of his shock as his legs began to move forward slowly to walk over to Chloe.

"Chloe.. I thought you were still in the woods doing your TV show?" He questioned in confusion as the blonde's brows furrowed slightly and his ex shook her head.

"Nah, we just wrapped season one last week." Chloe spoke as she gestured with her hand over her shoulder and she held another smile.

"Whoa..! Hold on." Piper suddenly blurted as she holds her hands up to the pause everyone and she quickly makes her way towards Chloe to take a closer look.

"You're the Chloe from the TV show, 'Kids In The Woods'?" She asked her in surprise as Chloe's lips parted to speak but the blonde beat her to it.

"Yeah, she is, but--"

"And she's Henry's ex-girlfriend." Jasper called out behind Henry as he interrupted him while standing next to Charlotte.

"All right, let's not talk about who dated who." Henry said as he shot the curly haired boy a look while gesturing with his hands and then turned back to Chloe.

Chloe tilts her head with a small squint as Piper thought for a moment before an idea pops into her head and she looks at the other girl.

"Chloe, stay right there and don't move! I got to go get my good camera." She mentioned as the little girl gestures for her to stay put before running upstairs to head to her room and Henry called out to her.

"No, Piper, don't go get your--aaai can't control her." The blonde commented when Piper quickly left the room as he scrunched his nose and forced a smile on his face.

Charlotte pulls herself away from Jasper's side and slowly made her way over to stand behind Henry.

"You know, Y/n's going to be here any second." She whispered to him as a reminder and Henry turns his head.

"I know, shhh." He whispered back as he shushed her and returns his attention to Chloe and Charlotte leans back with a shrug.

"Fine, I'll just sit back and wait for the fun." She murmured as she walks away while swaying the sledge hammer in her hands and she moves to sit on the couch.

"So uh--" Henry began with another awkward smile towards Chloe as the short girl moves past him to walk further into the house and into the living room.

"Oh.." He murmurs as the blonde watches as his ex approached the coffee table in the middle of the room, near the couch.

She smilea down at the small decorated table occupied by bowls of fruit and snacks as he moves to stands next to her.

"Wow. What are the flower petals and candles on the coffee table for?" Chloe spoke curiously as she turns to glance up at Henry curiously and she pushes her light brown hair behind her ear.

Henry paused at the question as he hesitated before throwing her another nervous smile and his lips parted to speak.

"Uhhh.. I--" He stammered out as he hears another knock behind him and everyone turns to look at the door that was left wide open.

"Hello?"

"Mmmh!" Henry's lips firming as he muffled an annoyed grunt while turning away knowing he was running out of time to get everybody out before Y/n would come.

"-Bianca? Oh, and the fun just keeps extending." Charlotte said after looking up to see the second girl entering as she shook her head with an amused smirk and she served herself a glass of lemonade.

"Sorry to drop by, I just needed to talk to Henry really quick." She mentioned as she walks into the living room and the blonde turned to face her with a forced grin.

"Well, you see, I'm kind of busy so It was really nice to see all of you tonight but I think right now everybody should just leave my hou--" Henry tried to explain as he was cut off by Bianca looking over his shoulder and she blinked in surprise.

"Chloe?"

"Hi, Bianca." The short girl greeted as she offered a bright smile and Bianca tilted her head in curiosity.

"I didn't know you were back in town." Bianca commented as Charlotte held the glass of lemonade in her hand and she looked at her from her spot on the couch while lifting her drink.

"Neither did Henry!" She added with slight amusement and spite in her tone as the blonde stiffened and he turns to shoot his friend a knowing look.

Piper walked out from the second floor with a camera in her hand as she quickly made her way downstairs.

"I've got my good camera! Chloe, fix your makeup." Piper immediately tells the girl as Chloe blinked and she squints at her in confusion.

"I'm not wearing makeup?"

"..Yeah, that's my point." The little girl replied bluntly as Chloe was taken aback by her words and Bianca frowned worriedly.

"Sorry, did I come at a bad time?" She questioned as the blonde quickly spun around to meet her gaze.

"Yes! I..I mean No! I mean--" He stumbled over his words for a moment as he grimaces before shaking his head and reaches over to grab her arm.

"Bianca, let's go talk outside." Henry said as the taller girl furrowed her brows when he lead her to the door.

"Why?"

"So I can show you my porch." He simply told her as the two walk out of the house with the door closing shut behind them and Jasper turns to Chloe, Charlotte and Piper with an approving nod.

"It's a quality porch." The curly haired boy assured them proudly as the scene switched to the two standing outside on the porch.

"..I'm sorry but are you and Chloe a thing?" Bianca asked him as she turns to face him and the blonde's eyes widened a bit before quickly shaking his head.

"No! No.. we were but things got a little complicated so we broke up a long ago." Henry explained as he swallowed before clearing his throat and he glances at her.

"So uh.. why are you here exactly?" He questioned as he squinted at her in confusion and Bianca hesitated before sighing softly.

"Well, I was hoping I can talk to you about something.." She mentioned in a light murmur for him to hear as Henry blinked and he raised a brow in suspicion.

"Uh, sure.. Go ahead." He said as Bianca brought her hands up to fiddle with the tips of her nails as she met his gaze nervously and her lips parted to speak.

The front door suddenly swung open as Jasper steps out with a positive smile written on his features and the pair turns to him.

"Hey Hen!" He greeted as the blonde glances at him with a confused expression and he frowned.

"..What?"

"Chloe didn't bring any makeup, so Piper wants to know if Bianca has any she can borrow." Jasper mentioned as the short boy squinted before letting out an annoyed sigh.

"Dude."

"Sure. It's in my purse..!" Bianca replied as she sighed and took off her bag to hand it to him and Jasper reaches over to take it.

"Thanks!" The curly haired boy said before heading back inside and closing the door behind him.

"Chloe, I got her makeup!" His voice heard inside the house with muffled voices from the others as Henry shakes his head as she continued.

"The thing I want to ask you is kind of...complicated." She mentioned hesitantly as she paused her words in between and she glances at him.

"Then what is it?"

"Well I wanted to know if--" Bianca was interrupted by the front door opening yet again as Jasper quickly steps out into the porch.

"Hey. Chloe's cold." He explained as the two looked at him and Henry paused before squinting at his best friend.

"...So?"

"Well, I see Bianca's wearing a jacket." Jasper told them as he motioned his hands at the taller girl beside him and she scoffed.

"Oooh, here!" She ushered as she rolls her eyes while taking off her jacket to throw it over to Jasper and the boy catches it with a nod.

"Thanks, B! Chloe, I got her jacket." He shouted as he returned back inside with the door slamming shut and Bianca huffed.

"I should probably talk fast before he comes back." She replied as the blonde nodded at her in agreement and glances at her.

"Keep going."

"Okay.. What I really wanted to ask is--I was kind of hoping if you would be my date to the meat ball." She finally admitted as they heard the front door opening for the third and last time.

"The jacket fits her perfectly."

"Get off my porch!!" Henry exclaimed at the curly haired boy as Jasper immediately retreated to go back inside with a click of the door shut.

A moment of silence washes over the pair for a few seconds as Bianca stared at him expectantly with a wondering expression.

"..So will you?" She asks him in a light tone as she chews on her bottom lip and Henry sighed heavily.

"Look, Bianca--" He began as the taller girl shifts closer and she reaches to take one of his hands to hold it in her own.

"Please?"

Henry glances down at their interwined hands before looking up at Bianca with a hesitant expression when she steps closer.

"Uhm.. uh.." He sputters out in an awkward murmur as his shoulders stiffened and he struggles to give her a proper answer

He didn't expect tonight to turn out this way with his ex girlfriend waiting inside and now Bianca unexpectedly asking him to the meat ball before he could have asked Y/n.

"Well.. well I.."

Henry fumbles over his words as he thought about ways to turn her down in a gentle way as another set of footsteps approached the two silently and Y/n walked towards the pair slowly.

The H/c haired teen glances down at their locked hands for a moment as he gazed up at them in confusion and he raised his brows.

"Heyy.. uh, what's going on you two..?" Y/n questioned in curiosity as his words trailed off and he squints his eyes slightly.

Henry quickly spun his head around when he heard Y/n as his eyes widened with panic and he quickly tugs his hand back from the girl beside him.

"Y/nnn! You made it. We were just uh--" He greeted as he attempted to explain before Bianca interrupted the blonde and she takes Henry's hand again with a bright smile.

"Oh, Hi Y/n!"

"I was just asking Henry to be my boyfriend and also my date to the meat ball. Right, Henry?" The girl mentioned excitedly as she turns her head to look at the blonde and gave him a grin.

Henry quickly averted his gaze as he turned to the H/c haired teen and the blonde's lips parted to speak.

"Uh well, I don't think I--" He rambles as he took a step forward and Bianca continued to cut him off short.

"What about you Y/n? What are you doing here?" Bianca said as she tilted her head curiously and the H/c haired teen paused before responding.

"Actually, that's what I'm kind of wondering also.." Y/m admitted truthfully as he glances at her and then at the blonde who seemed to feel stuck on the current situation.

There was a long silence with the three standing awkwardly out in the porch as Henry seemed to shuffle a couple steps steps while clearing his throat.

He began to walk backwards towards the door and he looked at the two while pointing over his shoulder with an awkward grin.

"So uh.. I guess I better head back inside to see what Chloe wants--" He mentioned as he gestured at the front door while chuckling nervously and Y/n almost did a double take.

"Wait. Your ex is in there?" The H/c haired teen questioned with a raise of his brows and the blonde stiffened as he turns to face him.

He froze for a moment as his lips parted to speak before he ran back inside to avoid making things more complicated.

The door opened as Y/n steps forward to follow the other boy before the door slammed shut and he sighed.

Bianca set her phone down after changing her status update as she looks up at Y/n with a sheepish expression.

"Sorry, Y/n.. I know he's your friend but blake wouldn't answer my texts all day until I found out he was moving back to his hometown again and I sort of panicked--" She rambles as she fidgets with her phone in her hands and the H/c haired teen met her gaze

Y/n listened as he shook his head while waving a hand at her to slow down and he chuckles.

"--Bianca, It's fine. It's no big deal." He mentioned as he gave her a small shrug and the girl blinks lightly in surprise.

"Really?" She murmured as Y/n nodded despite the tense feeling in his gut that he couldn't point out as Bianca beamed at him.

She smiles brightly as she walks closer to hug him as the two share a small embrace and Y/n's smile falters a bit before covering it up.

"Oh! Speaking of dates.." She said as she pulls away to step back and she throws him a curious glance in return.

"Did you find one for the meat ball yet?" Bianca questioned as the H/c haired teen paused before clearing his throat.

"Right. Yeah.." He mumbles after it had slipped from his mind completely and he quickly shakes his head.

"...I mean, no! No, not yet." Y/n replied as he took a deep breath before exhaling slowly as the girl's phone chimes and she looks down at it.

"Oh, hold on one second." She spoke as she smiled and she turns on her phone to check her messages.

Y/n nodded as he thought about finding the courage to tell Bianca the truth soon as the pit in his stomach anxiously grew wider.

"Hey. I'm Chloe from 'Kids In The Woods' and this is my ceramic bunny.. which you should buy." Chloe spoke as she showcased a hard crafted clay bunny in her hands by holding it up while looking into the camera Piper recorded her on.

"..Was that good?" She asked her as Piper thought for a moment and she scrunched her nose while waving her hand undecidedly.

"Ehh." The little girl said as Chloe blinked and she threw her arms up gently in defeat before shaking her head in response.

The front door opened as Henry quickly made his way back inside with the door closing shut behind him and everyone turned their heads.

"Heyy guys.." He greeted them as he manages a quick awkward smile while looking at everyone before turning to chloe separately by the fireplace.

"And..chloe." The blonde added stifly as his shoulders tensed up and a smile lifted on her lips.

"Hi, Henry." Charlotte, Jasper and Piper spoke while she shrugs her arms at her brother as Chloe turned to the boy.

"..So, I hear you and Bianca are going as each other's dates to the meat ball." She mentioned with a light grin and Henry froze as he glances at the front door where he was previously outside before turning to her.

"..How'd you know that?" He questioned as Piper and Charlotte grabbed their phones to hold them up along with Jasper sitting behind him.

"We saw her status update." Charlotte responded as Chloe held her own phone out as well and Henry grimaced.

"Oh."

"So...How did 'that' happen?" Charlotte asked the blonde with a blank expression and a knowing nonchalant tone.

"Uhh--! Chloe, maybe you and I should talk?" Henry quickly asked as he turns to Chloe to ignore the stares on his back given by his best friend.

"Sure." Chloe said as Piper, Charlotte and Jasper hear this and immediately went to sit back down on the couch while huddling together.

"Action!" Piper shouted as she held the camera up to point it at the ex paired couple and the two looked at the three.

"What? No. I need you guys to leave so I can chat with Chloe alone." He tells them with a slight frown as he walked a couple steps towards them and Chloe offered another enthusiastic smile.

"Henry, it's cool! We're friends after all, you can relax." She reminded him as she moved to stand beside him again to fill the empty space with a friendly atmosphere.

"Right. I know, It's just.." Henry told her as he trailed his words and he hesitated before the girl let out a short sigh.

"I know we have somewhat of a long history together but I didn't come here to get back together with you. Honest."

"Oh.. Great! I mean uhm, s-so why did you come all the way here?" He asked her as he furrowed his brows in confusion and Chloe's lips parted to speak.

"Okay, well, see, I don't know yet if they're going to make another season of 'Kids In The Woods." She mentioned as she began to slowly walk away to pace around the living room back and forth.

"They better!" Piper shouted with a frown on her face as the other two beside her nodded quickly in agreement and Jasper stood to his feet.

"We have to find out if Kevin was k*lled by that bear." The curly haired boy exclaimed as Charlotte stands up as well with a nod and chimed in.

"And if Darlene's going to lose her foot." Charlotte added and Henry gave them an annoyed sigh as he turned to them.

"You guys." He called as the two quiet down and sit in their previous spots on the couch and Chloe chuckles.

"Anyway, I thought of a really great way to help me get publicity, which would also help 'Kids In The Woods" get picked up for another season." She said to the blonde and Henry nodded as he threw her a genuine smile.

"So, what's your plan?"

"To post a message online asking Kid Danger or H/n to be my escorts to the Meat Ball." Chloe chimed enthusiastically as the blonde's smile faltered and he stiffened.

"What?"

"And the fun keeps coming." Charlotte murmured to herself on the couch while shaking her head and Chloe walked past the boy.

"I mean, I don't know if he'll say yes." Chloe said unsurely as she thought about the possible outcomes and Henry laughs nervously.

"Right, I doubt he will." Henry commented behind Chloe as she spun on her heel to face him.

"Well, that's why I'm here. Piper, are you still the President of Captain Man's fan club?" Chloe asked as she turned to the little girl still pointing the camera upward and she nodded.

"Yeah, the Man Fans.. why?" She questioned as she furrowed her brows at her and Chloe fiddles with her fingertips.

"Well, I was hoping if you could help me get Kid--" Chloe began as she was interrupted by the front door opening as Bianca and Y/n came inside.

"Uh, sorry, but can I have my purse and jacket back?" Bianca asked as the H/c haired teen moved to stand beside her.

"Oh. Sure." Chloe said as she carefully removed the jacket and purse on her shoulders and she walked over to hand everything back to Bianca.

"Thanks." Bianca replied as she took her things and Chloe nodded before turning to Y/n with a welcoming smile.

"Hi, I don't think we've met yet, I'm chloe." She tells him as she held her hand out and Y/n nodded while reaching to shake her hand with his own.

"I'm Y/n. Nice to meet you, chloe." He spoke as he cracked a smile of his own and Charlotte slowly walked up behind Henry to murmur.

"Would you look at that.. your ex girlfriend and your current crush shaking hands. Even the universe is shaming you." She commented as she looked at the two before glancing back at him with a shake of her head and he frowned.

Back at the mancave, Charlotte stood behind a control panel with her fingers tapping swiftly on the selected buttons and her other hand moving a joystick from left to right.

Her hands worked quickly as she controlled the laser ball above them while trying to point and shoot at Henry, Ray and Y/n.

"So, I saw that Kid Danger and H/n were trending all over the internet." Ray mentioned as he dodged a couple of the lasers and blocked a few of them with the protective pads on his hands.

The three of them separated on each side as Y/n stands to the far right blocking lasers directed to him while lost in thought or mentally focusing on other things.

"Yeah.. You know my ex-girlfriend, Chloe?" Henry mentioned as he blocked the lasers as well and he did a roll on the ground in front of the control panel where Charlotte stood.

"The one who's on 'Kids In The Woods' now?" The man questioned as he grunts and slides on the ground to his knees and the blonde nodded while moving farther to the side by the tubes area.

"Yeah."

"She wants H/n and Kid Danger to be her escorts to the Meat Ball so she can get publicity for her show." Henry said as he attempted to climb over the couch before being shot on the butt with a laser.

"OW!!" He shouted with a cry out as Charlotte laughed and pointed at his agony and she shook her head.

"So, one of you guys going to take her?" Ray asked the two boy as the man dives and slides underneath the tubes.

The H/c haired teen finally snapping out of it as Charlotte shoots a couple lasers at him and he blocks them before backflipping toward the middle.

"Sort of.. not really." He replied hesitantly as he still felt undecided as he scrunched his nose when a laser hit him and Henry shook his head.

"Well I can't. Ow. Because I'm gonna take Bianca, as Henry Hart." The blonde pointed out with a long sigh as Y/n wipes the sweat off his forehead and he huffed.

"And I still have to find a girl to take as my date to the meat ball or else I'd have to tell bianca the truth and admit that I like boys." The H/c haired teen added as the man continued to avoid and block the lasers with the protective pad.

"Well, why don't you take uh, Charlotte? Y/n." He called as the girl raised her eyebrows and stops shooting for a moment before she kept going.

"Me?"

"Yeah. Henry takes both girls and Y/n can just pretend to take Charlotte but also take chloe as H/n." Ray told him as Charlotte glances at the two of them speaking with a squint thrown their way.

"Actually.. there's one problem with your plan. There's only one Henry and one Y/n." The H/c haired teen mentioned with an annoyed roll of his eyes and the man grunted.

"Not exactly.."

"There's double.. There's Henry. Ow." He began as he moved around and rolled to sit on the couch before getting shot in the chest and Charlotte chuckles when he yelped.

"And Kid Danger. Y/n.. And H/n." The taller hero finished as he moved to stand up while panting deep breaths and Henry slide on the floor again.

"So you're saying Y/n should take Charlotte.. And I should take Bianca, but both of us should take Chloe as Kid Danger and H/n?" The blonde repeated as the man nodded and he stands on top of the couch before jumping off.

"Exactly." He added as the girl rolled her eyes in frustration and her hand clenched around the joystick tightly.

"That does it." She muttered angrily as she pushes on the buttons aggressively and she moved the stick to point the lasers at the three of them.

"Ow, ow, ow!" The two boys and the man yelped as their bodies stung with the amount of lasers being shot at them at the same time.

The three of them laid on the ground after a few seconds as Y/n removed his arms that covered his face and Ray lifted his head to look at Charlotte in disbelief.

"DANG!?"

"What is the matter with you?" Henry asked her as he moves to stand to his feet and so did Ray and Y/n.

"The boys are not going to take those girls to the same party." Charlotte mentioned as the H/c haired teen nodded in agreement and looked at them.

"She's right.. It's a bad idea. Oh, and OW!" Y/n exclaimed at her after being shot with multiple lasers moments ago even when he said nothing.

"But they can--" The taller male started as he gestured at the two boys and Charlotte interrupted him.

"I've seen this happen on a dozen bad TV shows. And it never works." She told them as she walked out from behind the control panel to approach the three.

"But that's just bad television. Thissss is very different." Ray spoke as he motioned his hand at the current situation they were discussing and the H/c haied teen rolled his eyes.

"I wonder why.. maybe because this is real life and we'll be playing with their feelings all night if we actually do this." Y/n told him as the blonde crossed his arms over his chest and he looked at each of them.

"So, then what should I do? I didn't plan on going to meat the ball with either of them. I wanted to go with--" Henry began as his hand almost rose to gesture in Y/n's direction and Y/n narrowed his brows when he met his gaze.

"--withhh my pride and confidence fully in tact." Henry quickly switched up his words as he awkwardly averted his gaze while scratching his nape and Ray shakes his head.

"Okay, you two start off the party taking Chloe as Kid Danger and H/n." The man started to explain as the blonde listened carefully and he nodded excitedly.

"Okay!"

"Don't do it." Charlotte commented while shaking her head and crossing her arms as Y/n scrunched his nose.

"I don't want to do this."

"People take a bunch of pics, post them online, so she gets the publicity that she wants." Ray told him as the blonde nodded again with enthusiasm and the girl sighed.

"Right!"

"Wrong."

"Then, after a few minutes, I'll call you both up as Captain Man and make up some big emergency that I need your help with." The taller hero mentioned encouragingly with a large grin and the other two stand to the side in disbelief.

"Please no."

"Dude.."

"Then we leave, change back into our normal selfs. And I spend the rest of the Meat Ball with everyone else. It's perfect! I'm doing it." Henry replied as he added on to it and he smiled widely at the man's idea and Ray nods.

"I'm liking it." He chimes before the man gave the shorter boy a high five and the H/c haired teen rolled his eyes.

"We're leaving." Charlotte said as her and Y/n began walking away together with annoyed expressions.

The music blares loudly inside the school gym where the meat ball was being held as students came to the dance event in their best formal attire.

The Girls came in their dresses while the boys wore simple button up shirts and others came with ties around their collar.

Charlotte sat at a table with two others students she knew in her class as she chatted and laughed along with them.

Jasper stood next to a man wearing a green shirt who was catering meat kabobs on a stick as he swipes off a delicious piece of meat to serve the boy.

The curly haired boy happily took the plate as Bianca walked across the gym to approach the table where he stood.

"Hey, Jasper.." She greeted as Jasper chewed on the piece of meat that occupied his mouth and he turned to face her.

"Oh, Hi Bianca! The meat here is so good.. You want to try some?" He asked her as he offered the plate to her and she grimaces slightly before slowly shaking her head.

"Maybe later." She replied as she attempted a short smile and the curly haired boy nods while shrugging.

"Sure."

"Where's Henry and Y/n?" Jasper questioned when he noticed the other two missing as he furrowed his brows in curiosity.

"Oh, their boss made them work late at Junk-N-Stuff, so they said they would meet us here." She explained as the boy nodded in understanding and he chuckles lightly.

"Classic Henry and Y/n." He commented as a woman in a blue dress and yellow belt around her waist steps onto the stage as she taps on the mic.

"Attention! Attention, everyone!" She began to speak on the microphone as she gained the eyes of all the students who attended and the adults that chaperoned the meat ball.

"So, we have a couple of very special guests tonight. One is Chloe Hartman from the cast of "Kids in the Woods." The woman announced as the crowd of students clapped their hands and a few cheered.

"And even more exciting, we have Swellview's two favorite young men, Kid Danger and H/n. Presented as Miss Hartman's escorts for tonight!" She finished as the students continued clapping and they turn their heads to the double doors.

The doors swing open as the three walked in together with Chloe in between Kid Danger and H/n.

Henry and Y/n waved in their hero costumes as they offered their best smiles and walked chloe further into the meat ball.

The three stopped walking to let the cameras take pictures of Chloe's publicity as she smiled adoringly.

Once they finished, Henry's phone buzzed in his pocket as he looked down and then turned to the girl in fake surprise.

"Ah, I wonder why my.. phone is ringing. Excuse us for a moment." Henry told her as she gave them a short nod and she watches as the two stepped away.

"Yeah, sure." She spoke as Y/n joined Henry to the side and the sidekick taps on the screen to lift the phone to his ear.

"Hello?" The blonde answered the call as Y/n leaned in to listen as well and the man was immediately heard on the other line.

"Hey, Kid Danger, H/n.. it's your old pal, calling with a fake emergency. Nee ner, nee ner, nee ner!!" Ray began as he started to make loud random noises on the other end of the phone as the two boys glanced at each other silently.

The teen avoided rolling his eyes and instead he chuckles bitterly in annoyance as he gave an unamused smile.

"Yes.. Captain Man." The sidekick responded a bit louder for everyone to hear as the crowd gasps and murmurs to themselves nearby.

"Kid Danger here along with H/n. We assume all is well." Henry added as Y/n nodded in approval and the two stopped to listen to the man.

"Nope. There is a big emergency at the blah dee, bloo dee boo!!" Ray exclaimed in gibberish as he laughed shamelessly on the other line and Y/n reaches over to grab the phone from the blonde.

"Sorry, Captain. Couldn't quite hear you so well, there was a slight.. interference.. What was the emergency again?" The H/c haired teen said as Henry moved closer and Ray continued to make lots of noises on the line.

"A BLAH, BLAH, BLAH! Oh, I think im sweating!! A kid just puked on my brand new shoes!!!" The man shouted as he sets the phone down on the monitor table and he leans on his elbows while he blows a raspberry.

Y/n closed his eyes shut when he blew into the phone and he cleared his throat to ignore his irritation as he looked at the sidekick.

"Right.. that's what I thought you said. Then we'll get there as fast as we can." He mentioned as the crowd groaned in disappointment and the man used some more gibberish.

"Poopi noopi doopi joopi!" Ray added as he let out wheeze and he cackled menacingly before ending the call.

"What's wrong?" Chloe finally asked as she slowly walked over to the two and the sidekick turns to face at her with a sigh.

"I'm so sorry, but there's an emergency and Captain Man needs us, so we got to leave." The blonde explained in a fake disappointed tone and the crowd whined and groaned at the news.

"Welp.. I guess we gotta go now. Have a great night everyone--" The H/c haired teen said as he turned around to leave before he was stopped by a large man standing he recognized all too well.

"No you don't!" He suddenly called as the man standing in the official police uniform approached them with a shake of his head as he pulled the two boys close.

"Chief Sullivan, what are you--"

"As the police chief of Swellview, and as one of your chaperones here at the Meat Ball, I say you both deserve to stay right here and party with us all night." The man announced proudly and the crowd cheered as they began to clap again with excitement.

Charlotte stood to the side watching knowingly while she crossed her arms with a smile written all over features.

"Tha..That's really nice, but Captain Man needs us." Henry mentioned as he glanced up at the man and the chief officer shook his head again.

"Which is why I'm going to send every police officer in Swellview to assist him right now." He told them reassuringly as the crowd let out ooh's and Charlotte raised a brow.

"And that means.. They Can Stay." The man began to chant as he took a step back while pointing at them and the crowd willingly joined along.

"They Can Stay.."

"Yay, you guys can stay here with me..!" Chloe chimed when she moved to stand between them again while circling her hand around their arms.

"Yayy.." Henry and Y/n spoke simultaneously as the teen subconsciously glanced in Bianca's direction who looked down at her watch before he averted his gaze.

The meat ball went on as students danced and had fun on the dance floor while the songs kept switching throughout the night

Henry walked around for a couple moments before circling around a couple students to rush over to the table Charlotte was sat at.

"Hello, Miss.. I need to talk to you." He greeted casually as he looked over at her and then glances at the two students occupying the two chairs.

"Hang on. David's telling me a funny story about the time he got stuck on a Ferris wheel." She tells the blonde as she gestured and smiled at the other boy across from her.

"Go ahead, David."

As David opened his mouth to speak, the blonde reached into his pocket to take out his laser as he zapped the two students unconscious.

Their heads fall on the table as Henry shoves the unconscious female student out of her seat and she fell to the ground in a small thud.

He quickly sat down on the chair as he turned to face Charlotte and he took a deep breath.

"I have a big problem."

"Yeah, I told you, if you tried to bring two different girls to this Meat Ball, something was going to go wrong." She explained as the blonde let out a brief sigh and he leans forward.

"Well, it did."

"Durrr!" Charlotte blurted with a know-it-all look when he admitted the previous plan had failed as she visibly mocked the sidekick and Henry frowned at her.

"This is not a time to 'Durrr!' at me." He scolds and the girl shook her head as she rose a brow curiously.

"Where's Chloe and Bianca now?"

"Jasper and--H/n took Chloe over to where all the booths and prizes are at." Henry mentioned as he pointed over his shoulder and they both turn to look at Jasper, Chloe and Y/n standing near a small booth across the gym.

"Oh hey, they have a stuffed (f/a). That's adorable." H/n told the short girl beside him as Chloe nodded in agreement with a smile.

Jasper quickly catches this as he immediately thought of an idea and he turned to face the H/c haired hero.

"You like that stuffed (f/a)?"

"Well, actually I--" Y/n began as the curly haired boy places his hands on the teenager's shoulders with a determined gaze.

"I swear to you.. I'm going to win it for you H/n!" Jasper tells him as he turned to the vendor who was also the janitor at the school.

"Can I go next at hitting the targets?"

"You can if you give me a dollar and fifty." The man said as Jasper nods eagerly and he reached into his pocket for the money.

He places it on the man's hand as he grabbed a couple balls to toss and Y/n protested behind him.

"Come on, Bianca is over there wondering where we are and I don't want her to hate me or Y/n." Henry told Charlotte as he worriedly turned to face her and motioned over to Bianca sitting at another table impatiently looking down at her phone.

"So will you please tell me what to do?" The blonde questioned as Charlotte looked at him silently with a roll of her eyes and she sighed.

"Well, if I remember my bad television correctly.." She began as she trailed her words for a moment and Henry's ears perked up slightly when she spoke.

"Yeah?"

"You should give Chloe some excuse, then leave for a minute." Charlotte told him as the blonde nodded eagerly and he waited for her to continue.

"Okay."

"Change back into your Henry self and find Bianca. Then just keep switching back and forth between Kid Danger and Henry for the rest of the party." The girl explained as Henry continuously nodded and he smiled at the idea.

"And that'll work?"

"No." Charlotte added bluntly as the blonde's smile faltered and he blinked in confusion at her response.

"What? Why not?"

"Because it's never worked on any of the bad TV shows I've ever seen." She commented truthfully and Henry leaned back on the chair with a small scoff.

"Okay.. you need to start watching better television." He retorted sassily as the girl blinked and she shrugs as Bianca slowly walked up to their table.

She glances at the students lying on the ground before ignoring them and turning to Charlotte with a small frown on her features.

"Hi, Charlotte.. Do you have any idea where Henry and Y/n are? They're over an hour late." Bianca explained as the blonde avoided her gaze and shrunk back into his seat.

"No, sorry.. But maybe Kid Danger should go search the school and see if he can find them." Charlotte insisted as she threw the sidekick a knowing look when he glanced up at her.

She nudges her head at him as he hesitated before nodding in agreement and he scrambles to his feet.

"Yes, I should!"

"I'll go see if I can find Y/n and that Henry guy for you." He told her before spinning around to walk away before Bianca called out to him.

"But you don't know what they look like." She said as the blonde stops in his tracks before returning back to his previous spot with a forced smile.

"That is true.."

"So I'll go with you." Bianca offered as the short boy nods carelessly and he chuckles in response.

"Great. No--!" He blurted when he realized what she just said and he swallowed nervously in front of her.

"I..I mean, you can't because I--" He stammered as Bianca tilted her head when he tried to explain and another figure approached the table.

"Hey, guys, what goes on?" Chloe greeted with a small smile as the blonde muffled a grunt while turning away.

"Mm!"

"Henry and Y/n are missing, so Kid Danger and I are going to go look for the boys." Bianca mentioned as she turned to face Chloe and the other girl frowned worriedly.

"Oh, well, I'll come with you guys." She offered as well as the two girls began to walk away from the table in search for the two boys and the sidekick called out.

"No--I mean, thank you!" He shouted after them as he he grimaces and then groaned while slapping a hand over his forehead as Charlotte looked at him.

"I said don't do it."

The two girls scouted around the school building looking for the two boys while the sidekick trailed behind them.

"Henry..! Y/n!" Henry called out along with Bianca and Chloe as he pretended to look everywhere.

"Where are you guys?!" He questioned as the two girls stopped walking in front of him and he looked at them.

"Well, they don't seem to be here yet, so why don't you two give up and walk away?" He insisted as Bianca sighed and she reaches into her purse to grab her phone.

"Here.. I'll try calling either of them again." She spoke as she began to scroll through her contacts and Chloe watched.

"Uh--No!" The blonde blurted as the girls raised their heads and Bianca blinked before she frowned.

"Why not?"

"Because uhh--oh my god!" He exclaimed at the end as he startled the two in surprise and he pointed behind them.

The girls spot nothing by the stairs as they looked back at him in disbelief and Bianca's lips parted.

"Why did you just scream?"

"Quick, into the closet!" He shouted as the girls protested when he ushered them into the janitor's closet.

He closed the door after pushing them inside as he stood inside the dark closet with them before quickly exiting when he realized.

He holds the door shut as Henry steps back and he took out his laser to jam the lock on the door to keep the girls locked in.

"Hey, what's wrong with you?" Chloe shouted as her voice was muffled behind the door and Henry paced outside frantically.

"Let us out!" Bianca called out in distress as the sidekick winced and he cleared his throat.

"Uh! I can't.. because there's two bad guys out here." He mentioned as he quickly thought of an excuse and he hears Chloe's voice.

"Who?" She asked him as he paused before preparing himself as he deepens the tone of his voice to pretend to be a criminal.

"That's it, Kid Danger, you're done!" He shouted and then switched back to the normal pitch of his voice.

"I'm not done! You're done." The sidekick replied back to himself as the girls screamed loudly and he quickly moves over to grab the trash can in the corner.

He 'pretended' to put up a fight as he slammed the trash can into the lockers and he let out a couple grunts.

"You're going to pay for that!" He deepens his voice as he pushes the trash can down and bangs it repeatedly against the floor.

"NO. I. WON'T." He exclaimed as the sound of banging was heard before Henry tiredly takes a step back.

"Kid Danger, are you okay?" Chloe questioned as the blonde doesn't hesitate to run off to head back to the meat ball.

"...Hello?"

"Jeez, kid, you can't get one target down with a ball?" The janitor asked the curly haired boy who was panting tiredly from the many attempts at tossing the ball.

"Why do the targets have to be so small?"

"To keep you kids entertained.. Go again." The man insisted as he encouraged Jasper to keep going and the boy groaned before paying the man one more time.

"I don't know what to do, Charlotte. I really don't want to end up losing Bianca as a friend if I do tell her the truth." Y/n mentioned as he sat at the table with the two students laying on the ground unconscious (again) after he had zapped them with his laser.

"..What do I do?" He questioned and Charlotte sighed after david's story had been interrupted for thr second time moments ago as she looked at the H/c haired teen.

"Well, I'm technically not telling you that you shouldn't tell her.. but I think its better to clear the air rather than sweeping it under the rug forever." She explained and she shifted in her seat as she leaned forward with her elbows on the table.

"I mean.. that's not how you build relationships. Or friendships." Charlotte commented and Y/n nodded slowly with a small sigh escaping his lips as he met her gaze.

"Yeah.."

"Besides, if she doesn't accept you for who you are as a friend maybe she wasn't meant to be in your life. In the end, it's her choice to leave or stay." Charlotte said as she shrugs and Y/n thought about her words carefully before he continued.

"Then when do you think I should--" Y/n's words trailed off when the blonde quickly rushed over to the table they were at and he plopped down at an empty chair.

"I did a bad thing!" Henry admitted as he looked at them nervously with panic and Charlotte groaned in annoyance.

"Aw, man, what now?"

"What's wrong?" Y/n asked him as he frowned at the sidekick who panted out of breath after he ran the entire way.

"I sort of panicked, so I pushed Chloe and Bianca into the janitor's closet and locked them inside." Henry blurted as the girl eyed him curiously and she nudges her head.

"Are they alive?"

"Yes! I told them I was protecting them from two evil villains so I could buy some time." He explained with a puff of his cheeks as Charlotte blinked and then raised her brows.

"Well, did you take their cell phones away from them?" She questioned and the H/c haired teen turned to the blonde who only shook his head in return.

"No, why?"

"Because if they think that you, Kid Danger, are in a fight with two criminals, what do you think they're going to do?" Charlotte asked him knowingly as the shorter boy paused before he responds sheepishly.

"..Pray to the lord?"

"Noo!" She scolded as the girl rolled her eyes and the H/c haired teen tilted his head with a small squint.

"They're going to call 'Captain Man' and then Ray's going to think there's some real bad guys are here trying to hurt you." She explained and the blonde winced at the thought before stumbling back to his feet in a rush.

"Ah, I got to go get their phones!" Henry told them worriedly as he began to walk away hurriedly and then he stops before spinning back around.

"--Wait! If they see me they'll know I'm not fighting some bad guys." He stated as the sidekick frowned and the girl turned in her chair to face him.

"Well, then, go to the drama room." She suggested as the blonde nodded and he held his hand out to count a finger down.

"The drama room, okay, then what?"

"Then find some disguise that makes you look like one of the evil bad guys." Charlotte added and Henry continued to listen closely while putting another finger down.

"Evil disguise.. then what?"

"Then as the bad guy, go open the closet and take their phones." She finished as the H/c haired teen moved to stand up from his seat while they talked.

"Okay..then what?" Henry asked as the girl slowly motioned a finger towards him and he leans down in front of her while she places a hand on his shoulder.

"...Never ask me the question 'then what' ever again." She murmured in a low tone as the blonde fell silent before nodding his head.

"Understood."

"I'll come with you." Y/n announced as he walked around the table and Henry nods before the two boys ran off to head over to the drama room.

The two boys stand outside in the hall carefully checking their costumes as Henry pulled down his mask to look Y/n who was adjusting his own disguise.

"Think this will work?" He whispered as the teen looked up at him in thought before shaking his head with a quiet snort.

"Nah.. But let's do it." Y/n whispered back as the blonde gave him a nod and the two quickly put their masks back on.

They made their way to the janitors closet that was around the corner where the girls were stuck as the two boys approached the closet.

Y/n lifted his mask for a moment as he nudged the shorter boy to go first and Henry walks up to the door as he starts banging on it

"Aah! Get away from the door!" He shouted in a fake deep voice as the noise startled Chloe and Bianca as they began to scream.

"Want me to laser it?" Y/n questioned as he leaned over his shoulder and the sidekick shook his head.

"Nah, I got it." Henry murmurs back as Y/n shrugs and the blonde reaches for his laser from his pocket as he points it at the already broken lock.

He moves forward to swing the door open as they came face to face with the two girls inside.

"Give us your phones or we will destroy you!" Henry exclaimed hurriedly as he reaches his hand out to grab Bianca's phone out of her hand and they screamed again.

"Get away from us!" Bianca shrieked loudly as Chloe attempts to slap the 'criminal's hands away with her purse.

"--Or maybe I'll destroy both of you." A voice called out behind them as Henry and Y/n spun around to look at the familiar man standing at the top of the stairs in his hero costume.

"Oh, jeez." Henry mumbles as the mask on his face somehow showed the expression of pure terror and Y/n stiffened.

"Son of a--"

"Captain Man!" Chloe exclaimed lightly with an amazed smile crawling to her lips and the other girl sighed in relief.

"Thank god..!" Bianca commented as the two boys carefully backed away from the janitor's closet as the man walked down the steps towards them while he drew closer.

"Now, I don't know who you guys are, but if you're done terrorizing these teenage girls, I'm going to rip you apart." The taller male threatened as he gritted his teeth and the girls step out while cheering for him.

"Yeah!'

"Get him, Captain Man!!" Chloe shouted loudly in encouragement as the girls watched the man close the distance and Henry swallowed behind his mask.

"No..no need to get us! I give up." He rambles and Ray shook his head as he moved forward intimidatingly.

"I'm going to beat you both until your mama feels it." The man hissed as he grabbed the collars of their costumes in a tight grip and pushes the two boys up against the lockers.

".. Well not me, I don't even have a mom." Y/n admitted as he gave him a small shrug and Ray shoots him a sharp glare.

"Tell me where Kid Danger is!" The taller male ordered as the blonde hesitated before his lips parted to speak.

"Uh, that's kind of a long story." Henry told him nervously as the man pulled the two forward and then slammed them harshly back into the lockers.

"Oh, oh, oh darn, I think I'm...urinating." The blonde mentioned as the man blinked and he looked down in disgust.

"What? Ew." Ray said as he scrunched his nose and loosened the grip on his collar as Henry took the chance to escape.

They watched as he left and Y/n stood there before turning to the hero with the mask still covering his face.

"--And I forgot to wear underwear." He blurted as he ran off as well and the hero stared after them before turning to the girls.

"Uh, You girls stay here." The man told the girls reassuringly as Chloe and Bianca nodded when he walked away as he followed after the two 'criminals'

"All right, you diseased piece of--" He hissed as he approached the two boys standing around the corner with a raised fist.

Henry and Y/n immediately removed their masks to show Ray as the taller male stops his movements in confusiom.

"Henry? And Y/n? What are you--" He began as the two shushed him to lower his voice and the hero looks over his shoulder cautiously before looking back at them.

"What are you two doing?" Ray whisper yelled as the H/c haired teen sighed and the blonde frowned at the man.

"The stupid plan did not work!"

"Really? See, that surprises me because I thought--" The hero said as he quickly gets shushed again and he falls silent.

"Be. Quiet." Henry whispered, "Look. Just get me and Y/n away from Bianca and Chloe so that we can come back here as ourselves before Bianca grows upset at our absences." He explained and the man hesitated before nodded in agreement as the two boys took their places while putting their masks back on.

Ray grabs the collar of the back of their costumes as he gave it a couple seconds before pushing Henry first.

Henry appeared from around the corner as he slams himself back up against the lockers and he slides down dramatically.

"We are defeated! Curse you Captain Man..!"

The man pushes Y/n second as the H/c haired teen stumbles forward and falls to the ground as he rolled and pretends to lay unconscious.

"Uh, That's right..! Okay, girls. I'm going to take these pieces of garbage out of here and torture them until they tells me where Kid Danger is." The hero explained as the girls watched when he grabbed the 'criminals' and dragged them to their feet by their shirts.

"Yeah, come on, let's go." Henry ushered in his fake voice as he walked to the exit and the man guided them out of the school building.

The girls watch them for a few seconds as Chloe steps forward and she turns to Bianca with a sheepish look.

"Wow. Well.. I'm heading back to the party." Chloe mentioned as she pointed behind her shoulder in the direction of the meat ball and Bianca nods.

"Okay. I think I'll just call my mom to come pick me up since Henry or Y/n never showed.." Bianca tells her as the other girl nodded and she offered her a small reassuring smile.

"Okay. Have a Good Night."

"You too.." Bianca said as Chloe waved at her before walking away to head back to the dance and Bianca took out her phone to scroll through her contacts.

She stood in the middle of the school hallway as she held her phone to her ear when she found her mom's number and she let out a sigh when she didn't pick up.

Henry and Y/n slipped into the building silently from another entrance while Bianca was distracted as they approached together.

Henry turned to the H/c haired teen as he nudges his head at him and Y/n nodded when the blonde went ahead to head back to the party.

Y/n watches as the boy disappeared down the corridor and he turned to Bianca before approaching her with a clear of his throat.

"Hey.." He greeted in a light tone as he gave her a smile and the girl turns to look up at him with the phone still close to her ear as a grin crawled to her lips.

"You finally came..! Where have you been?" She asked him curiously as the H/c haired teen paused and he rubs his nape sheepishly.

"Sorry.. I.. There were these two weird guys wearing striped pants and masks who jumped me and Henry in the parking lot. They tied us up and placed us behind an alley." Y/n explained as he looked at her and Bianca's eyes widened as she nodded rapidly.

"Yes! Oh my god, those are the guys who beat up Kid Danger while Chloe and I were locked in that closet." She mentioned as the H/c haired teen faked a shocked expression and gasped.

"Whaat? No way."

"Yeah! Captain Man just took them away." Bianca said and Y/n nodded at her words as he chuckles lightly while nudging his hand.

"Well I'm just glad you girls were okay." He commented and she nods as she gave him a wide smile in return.

"Thanks.."

"Now come on! Let's go and enjoy the rest of the meat ball." She ushered as she took his arm and began to drag him in the direction of the dance down the hall.

Y/n's smile falters when he remembers Charlotte's words from earlier as the thoughts forces him to suddenly stop in his tracks.

She stumbles forward in surprise as she tugs on his arm lightly before turning to look over her shoulder when he stopped walking.

Bianca blinked at him as she took note of his hesitant expression and her brows furrowed in confusion along with worry.

"What's wrong?" She asked him as Y/n stays silent with her hand remaining on his arm while she kept a soft grip.

The H/c haired boy looked at her before averting her gaze and his lips parted to speak.

"..I didn't bring a date," He tells her in a small murmur as Bianca looks at him and she smiles in reassurance.

Her hands falls from his arm as it brushed back to her side once more and she laughs a bit.

"It's okay! We can still have fun with each other--" She tried to explain as Y/n shook his head and he cut her off.

"No. No... Bianca. That's not what.." He trailed off as the girl gazed at him expectantly and the teenager took a deep breath before continuing.

"The only reason I didn't bring a date tonight was because--I wanted to be honest with you." He admitted to her as the H/c haired teen looked at her silently for a couple moments and then averted his gaze.

"I....I'm not into girls."

There was a small silence that filled the air as she said nothing in response to his confession as her expression falters into genuine shock.

Her silence gave him a stab to the gut as Y/n waited for any response on her end and he steps forward.

"I've been wanting to tell you this all week.. but I couldn't." He spoke truthfully as his words trailed and his tone wavered nervously but he kept going.

"I don't know if you'll ever talk to me again after tonight.. Maybe you won't be able to see me the same way at school." He said as his shoulders stiffened and he throws her a few glances.

He watches as worry etched into her expression while she listened to him and he swallowed thickly.

"I can't guarantee I can change the way you feel about me after this.. even when I desperately want to."

"But I'm gay.. and that's something I want to express the more time I live here in Swellview." He told her as a long silence grows between them and he grew a little more anxious by the minute.

After a few moments, her lips parted to speak until her phone rang in her hand as she looks down at the caller ID, seeing as it was her mom.

Bianca decides to answer the call instead as she pulls the phone close to her ear and she spoke.

"Hi Mom... Yeah. Did I wake you?" She questioned as she doesn't look in Y/n's direction and she walked past him without a word.

Her voice fading when she left the building as the H/c haired teen acknowledged her silent actions and he lowers his head with a nod.

"..right." He mumbles as he remained in the corridor and he moved over to the lockers to lean against them.

He slides down to the ground with a long sigh as he began to rub the corner of his eyes to prevent the tears that threatened to spill.
