The Charming Ex-Wife ( Lysander and Josiah ) Online Novel
Chapter 508 Mister And Miss.
Nieva flashed a smile, gazing out at the sunlight in the garden. âThe weather has been so lovely lately. It seems such a waste to stay cooped up indoors all the time. Since weâre here, we should definitely get out more. Thereâs a canyon nearby that Iâve been planning to hike. However, Aurora keeps holding me back. What do you think, Mr. Guerra? Do you have some free time? It would be good practice for when you have children of your own!â
Josiah glanced at Lysander. âI am fine with it. What about you?â
Lysander furrowed her brows. âDonât you need to go back to work at your company?â
âMy work can be handled remotely,â said Josiah, âYour main task is to focus on your studies. You do your part, and Iâll take care of Aurora. I wonât
âyouâ
Lysander still felt uneasy. âMs. Lionhart, neither Mr. Guerra nor I have any experience with taking care of children. I am afraid we might not do a good job.â
Nieva blinked. âWhatâs so difficult about it? Aurora is easy to handle. Plus, you have your professional skills to rely on. You might even do a better job than me. Of course, I wonât force it. it is all up to you.â
Nieva was a benefactor. She had just done a favor, so it wouldnât be right to refuse her now.
However, asking Josiah to take care of Auroraâ¦
It seemed as if Josiah had noticed Lysanderâs worried expression. He asked, âMs. Lionhart, how long do you plan to be away?â
âIt should take at least a day or two. This mountain range is not particularly vast, so it shouldnât take too long.
Josiah nodded. âA day or two should be fine.â
Upon seeing him nod, Nieva immediately affirmed, âOkay, it is settled then. Iâll go back to my room to
the mountain climbing gear. Oh, between the tents and the climbing ropes, thereâs just so much to
prepare
sort out.
Josiah teased, âThereâs no need to rush. You can extend your hike for another day or two.â
âReally now, youâre mixing business with pleasure, Mr. Guerra,â Nieva said, handing her daughter over to him. She then bent down to stroke Auroraâs head, advising gently, âMommy will be away for a few days, but Mr. Guerra and Lysander will take care of you. Be a good girl and donât cry, okay?â
Aurora opened her eyes wide, oblivious to what was about to happen next.
Josiah was immediately displeased. âit is Josiah and Lysander.
Nieva confronted him directly, âYouâre thirty years older than my daughter. Do you really have the audacity to let her call you by your name?â
âWell, Mr. Guerra and Lysander sound weird.â
Nieva laughed heartily. âBut Ms. Thome is so young and pretty. Calling her âMissâ doesnât fit, right, Aurora?â

The baby didnât understand a word but responded enthusiastically to her motherâs voice with nods and babbling.
Nieva tapped her daughterâs nose. âSee, even Aurora agrees with me.â
âFine, call us whatever you want.â Josiah sighed. âToday I am at the bottom of the food chain.â
د
Nievaâs tone shifted as she teased, âCalling her âLysanderâ is just for now. In the future, you might call her Mrs. Guerra, right. Mr. Guerra?â
Josiah laughed. âDonât start. You should spend more time with Elio.â
Nieva tossed her hair. âHeâs probably hanging around some aquarium again, not wanting to listen to me anyway. But thatâs fine. I donât want to talk to him either. Bye now.â
The everâthoughtful Lysander stopped Nieva to ask. âMs. Lionhart, what formula does the baby drink?â
Nieva pushed the baby stroller toward them and placed the backpack nearby. âFormula, bottles, snacks, and toys are inside. The diapers and clothes are all underneath the stroller.â
For a baby just over six months old, this seemed sufficient. Lysander noted everything Nieva mentioned and watched her leave in the elevator with Josiah.
After Nieva left, Lysander checked the items in the stroller. Everything matched what Nieva had said, and she felt slightly relieved.
Turning around, she saw Aurora about to cry after realizing her mother had left. Josiah was using flowers from the table to distract her.
Seeing Lysander looking over, Josiah said softly, âNieva seems carefree but is actually very attentive. Donât worry too much. If anythingâs missing, we can have someone buy it.â
âMs. Lionhart helped Daphne a lot this time. I have to take good care of her child out of gratitude.â
Josiah said, âFor the Lionhart family, fifty or sixty million is not a big deal.â
âThatâs only because of your influence.â
Josiah paused but didnât deny it. âSo I need to take extra good care of the child to live up to Nievaâs trust.â
âYouâre quite good at holding Aurora.â
Lysander asked, âDo you still want seafood?â
âWhat
âYouâve helped Daphne build connections and secure investments. We truly owe it to you. I am not someone who doesnât appreciate kindness. I canât just accept help without expressing my gratitude.â
After some thought, Josiah asked, âCan I ask for a different kind of gratitude?â
Immediately, Lysander became alert.
Josiah chuckled. âYou treat me like a thief now. I couldnât even see the moon with you. What could I nossibly do?â

âThen what do you want?â
âHand me the toys from the stroller. Aurora is curious but gets bored quickly. The flowers arenât holding her attention anymore.â
Lysander found some plush toys and handed them to Josiah, who started entertaining the baby,
But Aurora wasnât easily appeased this time. She pouted, on the verge of tears.
Josiah panicked a bit. âLysander, see whatâs wrong with her?â
Lysander recalled how nurses at Central Hospital soothed babies. Calming down, she suggested. âTry walking around with her. Babies donât like staying still. Or hold on while I prepare her milk.â
Josiah was oddly confident. âYou havenât finished your breakfast yet. Let me do it.â
Aurora was crying harder, ander couldnât focus on eating. She took the bottle and formula from the stroller and asked a waiter for hot water. After sterilizing the bottle, she mixed the formula at the right temperature. She then handed the warm bottle over.
Josiah walked around with Aurora, trying to calm her. She cried less but was still upset until the bottle was handed to her, stopping her tears.
âSo she was hungry.â
Aiden arrived at the restaurant, noticing Josiahâs tall figure immediately. He lifted a brown document bag. cheerfully calling out, âJosiah, I broughtâ¦â
Halfway through, he noticed Lysander and the baby they were both looking at. His mouth dropped open
