Chapter 372 Give The Guerra Family An Heir
Lysanne began to muster all her strength to knock on the door.
While she knocked on the door, she shouted loudly, âDr. Thome? Dr. Thorne, are you in there?â
Such a commotion finally managed to dampen Josiahâs mood. He no longer continued whispering sweet nothings into her car. Slightly lifting his head, he frowned in the direction of the cabin door, showing clear signs of impatience.
By this point, Lysander was amused.
Josiah shifted his gaze down toward her. âHow could you still smile?â
âWhy not? Josiah, youâve really outdone yourself, being treated like a stud, huh?â
This remark clearly struck a sore spot. The arm wrapped around her waist tightened slightly, leaving Lysander breathless in an instant. Startled, she let out a gasp.
Josiah gritted his teeth and sneered, âAre you enjoying making fun of me?â
Fortunately, Josiah knew when to stop. After a brief moment of holding her tightly, he let her go. Lysander playfully nudged him and asked, âWhy donât you take a dip in the sea to cool off?â
âWould you take responsibility if I drown?â
âYou have a fiancée, donât you? Why should it be my responsibility?â
âYouâre right. If I were to die, I must give the Guerra family an heir first.â
âThereâs one readyâmade outside. Why donât you go?â
âWhen have I ever used knockâoffs?â He leaned closer to her. âIf I were to use anything, it would definitely be the real dealâ¦â
Seeing the flame flicker in his eyes once more and his body gradually pressing down, Lysander instinctively placed her arm against his chest. âJosiah, youâre so heavy!â
Josiah paused and harshly swiped his tongue across her lips. His voice carried a warning tone when he said, âDonât provoke me now.â
âThen you should stay away from me for now.â
His breathing grew increasingly labored, but thankfully, the persistent knocking and shouting from outside acted like a wakeâup call, finally tearing him back to his senses.
He gently released his grip on her shoulders, looking away, no longer meeting her gaze. He took several deep breaths, attempting to quell the tumultuous flame within him.
âDr. Thorne! Dr. Thorne, are you all right? If you can hear me, please respond. Iâm worried about your safetyâ¦
Suddenly, it sounded like another person was approaching the cabin from.

Lysanne said, âLysander seems to be inside, but thereâs no response despite my continuous knocking. Iâm worried something might have happened to her.â
The girl who bore a resemblance to Lysander timidly asked, âLysanne, didnât you say you were worried about a thief getting in? Why has it suddenly become a fear of accidents?â
Lysanne looked at her with disdain, shooting her a harsh glare. âWhat if the thief, cornered and desperate, ended up hurting someone inside?â she asked, her voice laced with annoyance at the girlâs lack of foresight.
The girl could only nod in agreement. âYes. Youâre right, Lysanneâ¦â
âAdrian!â Rina beckoned Adrian over and said, âJane said that it seems like your friend, Lysander, is inside. You should hurry over!â
Adrian made his way through the crowd and asked, âWhat happened?â
Rina was getting a bit frantic. âJane said a thief mightâve entered this room. However, your friend, Lysander, was supposedly resting inside. Thereâs no response now. Could the culprit have taken her hostage?â
Adrianâs expression shifted. âA thief? What was stolen?â
Rina shook her head. âIâm not quite sure myself. You should ask Jane.â
As Rina spoke, she took a step back, clearing the way for Lysanne to explain things directly to Adrian.
Lysanne was somewhat intimidated by him, feeling a significant loss in her momentum. âItâs just as Rina describedâ¦â
Adrian glanced at the tightly shut cabin door, his gaze suddenly shifting. âJane, did you actually see the thief with your own eyes?â
