It was time to go into Victorias office to start the therapy but Mia wasn't here. Thoughts were running through Charlottes head. She thought Mia had forgotten or even worse Mia wasn't bothered with her anymore.

Tears filled Chars eyes as her name was called. Where was her Mia, her lifeline and her best friend. As Victoria shut the door and sat down, a huge knock came from the door.

"Come in" Victoria said.

The door opened and there stood a beautiful red head with beautiful hazelnut eyes. "Sorry I'm late the traffic was bad on Neil Street." Chars eyes lit up like she had seen the person who made the happiest. But she did. It was her Mia!

"Right where are we starting today Charlotte?" -V

"Well I wanted to start by talking about my life with my husband and all the things he did to me. It's time I faced my fears and let Mia in."-C

Mia sat ever so silently listening to Char. Char talked about how her husband used to tell her how shit she was at her job or how she was a shit mother because of her PPD. He used to hit her and spit on her whenever he would get jealous, he refused to let charlottes family and friends see the girls because they were 'bad influences'. Char explained in detail the physical abuse her husband subjected her to. She also went into depth about how he wouldn't have sex with her because she wasn't dropping the weight fast enough after having her youngest child, Rae. He called her "disgusting" "fat" and always shamed her body after the birth of their second child. Char further explained about how she nearly ended it all when he started being more physical with her in the final months of their marriage. She couldn't cope with him doing this to her.

Mia was disgusted and this was the first time she was left without words and cried in front of people. She couldn't believe char had gone through this alone and no one ever stepped in to help char. She felt a fit of rage run through her blood. How could anyone treat her Char like this? She wanted to beat him, make him feel the pain char went through with him. But she knew it would only hurt char. Victoria looked at Mia and said "Mia is there anything you'd like to say.".

"Char I'm so sorry I wasn't your friend back then to step in and protect you. You've been through so much and I know now why my behaviour triggered you so much and I'm ever so deeply sorry." Mia said with tears streaming down her face.

Mia felt a lot of guilt as well as anger towards Charlottes ex. Mia knew she had to do something but she didn't know what. All she could think about was how char felt when she was teasing her and calling her sweetheart. This feeling made Mia feel so sick.
