Chapter 20

Growing Concern

Therapy- Mialotte

A week had passed, Charlotte didn't receive one bit of communication from Mia. Not a text or a call. Charlottes mind was doing laps. Was it something she said or was Mia found through something and shutting char out.

Char had really struggled with the thought of loosing Mia. She couldn't live without her but she couldn't stand for what Mia had done to her. Leaving her like this.

Charlotte needed to keep her mind off of Mia and she needed to be busy. So Charlotte picked up extra shifts this week. Working so early to so late. When she got home she was way too tired to eat but when she woke up she was still in such a rush so she didn't eat then. The only substantial meal she ate was lunch. She was definitely overworking herself on such little food. She could feel how tired she was but she genuinely just thought it was all the hours she was doing.

Char couldn't stop she needed to be busy. If she didn't keep her mind busy she would miss Mia but at the same time she would be so angry at her.

How long could char carry on like this. She was already experiencing the symptoms of extreme exhaustion. The headaches, the dizziness and her sore and aching muscles. But she definitely was not going to stop. Marjorie told her to have a day off, Reece told her, Carly told her and even Autumn got involved. It wasn't like Autumn to care or even get involved unless it benefitted her. Autumn was really concerned and Reece was growing really concerned over her.

Charlotte had gone into the second week like this with the same routine of missing her meals and working early to late. How was char coping with this hectic schedule? She couldn't go on like this for much longer could she? She had given up trying to contact Mia after the second day. She thought clearly Mia doesn't want to talk to her or value their relationship. So have it Mia she thought.

It was Tuesday morning, Carly had noticed char acting abit slower than usual and abit more weaker. But Carly didn't dare say anything to her as she knew how snappy char had been recently with people trying to help her. Carly's heart would drop everything she heard a sniffle come from char's way or even a whince of pain come from her. Charlottes muscles were more sore now than they had ever had been before. Carly noticed a few times that char would get abit unsteady on her feet and stumble. The last time she dared to ask if she was okay. "Char are you okay? You don't seem very well!" Carly said with such growing concern for char's wellbeing. "For fuck sake Carly, will you just leave me alone I'm fine, I don't need everyone pitying me." Char snapped with such hatred in her tone. She had never spoke to anyone like this not even the people who bug her most.

It was lunch time. Carly and Reece were sharing their usual meal deal whilst chatting about their day. Carly happened to mention about char snapping at her earlier and how she doesn't seem herself.

"Yeah I've noticed that too Carly. We need to keep a close eye on her. This isn't going to end well and when she falls into a burn out she is going to need us." He said with a concerned look but confident they could help char. "Well she had been looking abit run down recently and she keeps getting uneasy on her feet. I've had to keep an eye on her around the children recently." She said sharing concerns.

Reece and Carly discussed how they could care for char and how they could look out for her being firm but still her friend.

The way char was behaving certainly wasn't going to end well. How on earth could she survive off of just lunch alone. The concerns were definitely growing and not just from Reece and Carly.
