Mia wanted to treat Charlotte to a candle lit dinner at home. These types of date nights were chars favourite. However her ex husband never did them for her.

Char was still working when Mia called her to let her know she's letting herself in to set up a surprise. Charlotte thought it was just building the girls bedside tables as she had been meaning to build them but had been so busy with work. This warmed her heart, she knew how much Mia cared for the girls.

Mia started cooking charlottes favourite main which was steak with mash and chips. Who knows why this was charlottes favourite but it was. It smelt absolutely Devine. Mia laid out the table with a black rose in the middle the main at either side so they would be facing each other and charlottes favourite white wine.

Something startled Mia as she was just turning around. It was char. "Baby, this is so lovely. How did you know steak was my favourite?" Char said with such awe in her eyes. She couldn't believe Mia had surprised her with this. "Because sweetheart, you order it every time we go out. How could I not know this was your favourite.".

Mia placed her hand on top of charlottes and said in a hoarsely voice, "I will forever love and protect you.". Char's eyes began to well up with tears. She couldn't believe this was the girl she was with. Mia persists that she is a strong independent woman with no soft side but for char she was always so soft and protective.

Throughout the meal, mia caught char's icey blue eyes staring at her. "What's up sweethearts? Don't like my cooking.". "No no... I love it.. I love you more than you'll ever know and I hope one day you'll marry me." Char said as she started crying.

She had just imbedded the idea into Mia's head that marriage was in the timeline for them. Mia couldn't cope with this. "Yeah" she laughed off. The feelings were getting too much for Mia, she had never thought of this. Even though she had a soft side for char. It was still very difficult for her to actually settle down.

Mia rushed up and pushed her chair back, hitting the wall behind her. She ran out as fast as she could. Her car had never started so fast.

She was gone before char even got to the door to see her. She knew that it was what she had said but why? Char's eyes started to become stained with tears thinking that was the end of them. Another person had left her, without even a goodbye. Where was Mia going?
