Rumours and Truths

Time Jump- 6 weeks

Mia and Charlotte had finally made it official after all the dates and spending time at each other's houses. But they hadn't told anyone else yet, they wanted time to be together and no one else being fussed over them. The only person that knew they were a thing was Sorscha.

There were rumours spreading around the nursery that they were spending a lot more time together and these came from the parents of the children. They had been seen a few times in town together showing affection to each other.

As Charlotte walked into the nursery, there stood Marjorie with a sort of smile but concealed smile. "Charlotte, My love, I need to talk to you in the office".

As they both walked into the office, Charlotte following behind Marjorie, there was Autumn at her desk smirking to herself.

"So my love, it has been brought to my attention that the parents of the children in your room have been spreading a photo of you and Mia sharing a kiss outside of that restaurant you went to last week." - M

"Oh... Me and Mia... Are..."-C

"My love you don't need to tell me anything but I just thought I'd make you aware."- M

"Charlotte if you and Mia are a thing, I'm happy for you both, it's about time you have someone who actually loves you for who you are and Mia is the perfect person for that, I'm happy for you both."-A

"AUTUMN!"- M

"No Marjorie, it's okay. Thank you Autumn, I was going to tell you when things had settled down a bit but me and Mia are together and I'm very happy. I've never felt so loved and it's about time I flaunted Mia off as my girlfriend." -C

Charlotte had never physically said out loud that Mia was her girlfriend but it sounded so right.

"Ohhh My god! I'm so happy for the both of you! Come here..."

Whilst hugging Charlotte Marjorie said "I'm finally glad you have someone who treats you right. Even though I'm not Mia's biggest fan, I just know she'll treat you well."

Charlottes phone buzzed, it was Mia renamed as My mean redhead in her phone.

"They know! The parents hassled me in the car park."

Charlotte sent a text back saying

"I know so does Marjorie and Autumn. I'm telling the rest whilst I'm on shift if that's okay with you."

"Ofc sweetheart, I was waiting for you to give us the green light to flaunt you off 😏. I want you to feel comfortable first". - Mia

3 hours later-

Sorscha, Carly, Reece and Charlotte have a conversation over her relationship with Mia. Even though Sorscha already knows about them both, she acted surprised to hide this for the benefit of Charlotte.

"MIA'S GAY!!"- Reece

"Well..." Charlotte was interrupted by Reece...

"I SPENT 20 YEARS WITH A LESBIAN!!!"

This is when everyone burst out laughing at Reece's reaction. He just couldn't get over the fact that Mia had a thing for Charlotte and was in face a lesbian. Other than that everyone was over the moon for Charlotte and Mia. Especially Charlotte knowing that she had gone through a messy divorce.
