Divorce

It started on a Monday morning. Charlotte woke up feeling so chirpy and like she was on cloud 9 her divorce had gone through. She was finally out of that horrific marriage that made her feel trapped and so alone. Her ex-husband never comforted her when she was upset, celebrated her achievements or even was there for her emotionally. She was finally free and felt like a weight had been lifted that was dragging her down for so many months.

Charlotte spent the morning from 6:30 to 7:30 dancing in the kitchen with her two daughters, Jessie and Rae, making pancakes and waffles. Mornings were always so fun for Charlotte's household Jessie liked waffles and Rae liked pancakes. As a mother Charlotte would do anything for her children to make them happy and this is one thing she loved doing for her girls.

Charlotte realised the time was nearing 8:00am and it was time to get the girls out the door and dropped off at nursery and school. She hustled the girls out of the door with their pink and purple backpacks. She popped them in the car and buckled their belts and then got behind the wheel ready to set off when she heard Jessie say "mummy" in a gentle and soft voice. "I love you, this morning was fun". "I love you too sunshine, I'm glad you loved it." which Charlotte replied back with a huge grin that compliment her eyes. "Now who's ready for their first day of school" Charlotte excitedly shouted. "Meeeee" both the girls said whilst squealing.

Char got to the school and gave Jessie a kiss on the forehead and said with a huge smile "have a good day at school Jessie, remember You will be going to daddy's house with Rae after school, Mummy will see you on Wednesday.". Jessie ran inside the school giggling and shouting "Bye Mummy.".

Rae went to a different nursery as Charlotte feared that with her working at The Knight Nursery she'd be tempted to go see Rae whenever she could. Rae was her miracle child who she struggled to have after being told she couldn't have anymore. She prayed for so long for Rae and after 2 years she got her wish granted. Rae was dropped off at a nursery round the corner from where Charlotte worked. Every time she left Rae she felt lost, however she always reminded herself that Rae enjoyed nursery and enjoyed seeing her key worker Hope.
