It was the bird's chirping which broke his sleep. He opened his eyes slowly and sat straight. Stretching his limbs, he looked for her. She was sleeping on other lounger at a distance.

He got up and walked to her, the sun hadn't showed up yet but sky was clearing itself from darkness slowly.

He moved closer and shook her lightly, "Raina!! Get up."

Raina instantly opened her eyes and sat straight, Adhiraj frowned on seeing her senses on high alert.

"What happened?", he asked.

"Nothing,I am a light sleeper.",she slightly smiled and said in a groggy voice.

"Okay, lets get back to palace. We don't have much time.",he said.

She nodded and got down from the lounger. Adjusting her dress, she was ready.

Raina and Adhiraj were soon back to the other side of lake by a boat. A car from hotel was waiting for them and Raina heaved a sigh of relief, happy about the fact that she wouldn't have to walk all the way back.

Both were seating on the backseat, Raina looked outside the window seeing him busy with his phone.

She was silent. Her mind was somewhere else.

Last night she slept without any other thought, he made her comfortable but now when she was awake, not only from her sleep but her small bubble too, then it made sense to her that....

The car stopped suddenly and then she realised that they were back.

"You go first. I will come after a while.", he said. They were near the backdoor of fort.

"Won't someone ask you? What are you doing at this time?",she asked.

Sun rays were going to prove their presence in minutes.

He smirked ,"Take a look at my dress. I was gone for a jogging,you know."

Now it hit her, why he went wearing sports cloth last night.

He turned around to go when she hesitantly called him, "A.. Adhiraj!!"

He looked at her with raised eyebrows.

"I just wanted to say one thing.", she started.

"I will give my best to this relationship. I can see how much effort you are putting in it. I am giving you my words, you won't be disappointed.",she was predicting him to look even a bit happy but all she saw was his straight face.

"Raina, relax. You don't have to think about it much.",he said in a strong voice but his tone was soft.

"No, it's not like that. I wanted to say that before marriage.", she insisted.

"Raina.... we will talk about it later. For now,go and enjoy.", he said in a firm voice and went away without waiting for her reply or remark.

"I really wanted to say that.", she pouted looking at his back.

On the other hand, he thought of stopping and going back to her. To tell her that she is thinking over nothing, no need to force herself. She will start putting her effort naturally.

But he didn't stop.

Maybe she has to learn to deal with her baseless insecurities by herself.

She will have to learn it by herself, he can't made her understand everything, she was an adult not a child.

She went back sulking.

Raina sat in front as they started worshipping the idol of Ganpati. It is believed that praying to Ganesh in the starting of any auspicious work brings fortunes. Before marriage, both families pray to him separately.

Everyone prayed to Ganpati Dev and got up from the ritual as it ended. After taking the blessings and receiving Prashad, they were going to have breakfast.

Raina was going to the dining hall when Adya came and dragged her at somewhere else.

"Adya! At least tell me where are we going to?",Raina asked.

"Wait a bit Raina.",Adya mused.

"Like brother,like sister.", Raina muttered.

"What?", Adya couldn't hear properly but continued to pull her somewhere.

"Nothing.", Raina quipped.

Adya stopped and Raina came face to face with few youngsters standing and talking with each other.

"Meet them,they are my cousins.",Adya smiled.

"Hey bhabhi sa.", the youngest girl of the group chirped, she was basically a teen.

"Hey? If Maheshwari Dadi sa will listen then one hour of lecture on how indisciplined you have became is fixed.",a boy in his early 20s smacked her head.

"Oops! Sorry. ", that girl bit her tongue.

"Pranam Bhabhi sa, I am Shrutija.", she greeted.

And then Adya introduced each of them and Raina greeted back with a smile.

They settled down, most of them were basically teenagers and new adults.

One thing lead to another and they talked and teased Raina. Raina was smiling and was active in conversation when she heard,"Lado!"

"Jee Kaka Hukum.", she involuntarily said and got up.

Turning around, she saw Rana sa standing at a distance.

She walked to him with a vibrant smile on her face which forced him to give a small version of his too.

She noticed Khan Sahab standing with him, she greeted him and asked, "Khan Baba!! Where were you? We are meeting after so long."

He smiled and patted her head, "Just took a leave but I am back. And not alone but with someone."

Raina raised her eyebrows, when he motioned someone and a lady and a young girl came forward.

"Meet her,she is Nadira. My wife."

"And she is Naazneen. My daughter."

Nadira placed her palm on her head when she greeted her, "May Almighty bless you with all the happiness,my child."

Ahmed saw his daughter silently standing with a big smile, "Naaz,you are standing silently. You were so excited to meet her."

"Excited? Why?", Raina asked amused.

"Who won't be excited to meet the soon to be princess?",Naazneen chirped making Raina blush.

"Hey shorty!",Adhvan came from somewhere.

"Bhaijaan,how are you?", Naaz excitedly asked.

Soon Adya also joined them and started chatting with Naazneen, who have spent her childhood days in palace and was more like younger sister to them.

Rana sa saw them busy, he said to Raina, "Ria, I want to have few words with you."

"What is it Kaka Hukum?", she asked.

They were walking down the corridor above the garden.

Rana sa said, seeing the staff doing their work, "This marriage not only will change both of your lives but many."

"Huh?",she was confused.

"You both will be married and both of your lives will take a whole new turn but ours lives will be different too. Seeing your small child growing up into a mature man ,and then getting married,starting his own family. A whole different level of feelings.", he smiled.

He looked at her , "You know, you were just a day old when I saw you. Raghav and Naina were so happy to finally hold you in their hands. You were just like a sunshine in their life. Being a father myself I understood Raghav's feeling . I was there, just there when they promised to each other,that you will be their priority,always. They won't think about themselves when it will be about you."

"I wish they would be here to see what a strong girl they got."

They stopped.

"No worries. You and Kaki Hukum are here, right?", she smiled and whispered shocking him.

Only he wasn't shocked, she was too. Its not like the absence of her parents didn't hurt her but it hurted less. And... It was relaxing?

"Right.", he muttered masking his emotions.

"You consider me as your daughter right?", she asked tugging at his hand.

"What is there to consider? You are my daughter Lado.",he patted her head.

A smile broke in her face.

"Just keep smiling like this."

"I will.", she took a step forward and hugged him, keeping her head on his chest and he caressed her head like a child.

"We are always there for you and just for your information, I have a special place for daughters here. Even that crown prince won't dare to do anything.",he said making her giggle.

Just then Adya shouted for her , calling her to have breakfast with her.

"Go.",he broke the hug and ushered her away.

"What were you two talking about?"

He turned her around when he heard his wife's voice.

"You chose a good therapist.", he casually commented.

She didn't know where it came from but she chose to stay silent,"I know, right. I won't be careless in her matter. Neither I will let Yuvraj sa be careless."

"Bua sa is looking at us.",his eyes discreetly caught few feminine figures staring at them from above floor.

"What are we? Newly wed? What are they spying on us? I am telling you, one day I will claw out their eyes and stupid brain.", Vasudha scoffed at the bush hush behaviours of ladies.

He chuckled and again looked at the door from where Raina went.

"There are few peoples Lado who consider you as family, just wait a bit."

I adore the relationship of Rana sa and Raina so much.... 🙂
