Raina took few steps towards his cabin but again halted in her tracks. Fidgeting with the papers she held in her hands as an excuse to meet him, turning around she started stepping back. She didn't know why she was feeling so nervous , maybe because she faced a seething Adhiraj after many days.

Finally, she again dumped the idea to meet him and started going back to her cubicle but someone called her from behind, "Hey Raina!! Wait."

She turned around and saw Adhiraj's secretary coming towards her.

He stopped maintaining decent distance and said while checking someone on his tab,"Sir is calling you inside."

"Uhh...why?", the question slipped from her lips before she could stop it. But again, it was a genuine question.

"To marry you.", he said looking at her with bored eyes.

He started laughing after seeing Raina freeze in shock.

"Oh Raina, you were supposed to laugh. It was a joke.", he said wiping the tears that leaked from his eyes.

Raina glared at him hard.

He did sober up seeing the anger bubbling in her eyes.

"Stop glaring at me, go now.", he muttered and walked away.

She peeked and saw him standing near the glass wall, gazing down at blue city.

She took feeble steps and called out for him, "Sir!!"

He didn't turn around, he was still looking outside with his hands inside his pockets when he said,"You know!! It sounds kinky."

She halted in her tracks.

Confusion was laced in her question, "Wh-what?? What sounds uhh..kinky?"

"You call me sir, it definitely sounds kinky.",he turned around saying.

The papers she was holding fell from her hands, her mouth wide open as she stared at his smirking face.

Her shocked face turned into flustered one soon.

"You!!!!!!",she opened her mouth to say something but silenced up not knowing what to hurl out.

He walked near her with the famous smirk intect on his face. She looked away when he bent down to pick the papers.

Tossing the papers on a nearby table, he placed his hands on her back and pulled her towards the sofa.

She sat on that and he pulled one chair close to hers, Raina noticed the decreased distance of 1 feet between them. She leaned back on her seat, their knees were brushing with each other occasionally.

He chuckled seeing her tomato red face, she gazed up at him with a tinge of irritation on her face.

He shook his head with a sheepish look on his face, "Not my fault, you are not amending your ways of calling me."

"You are so cheesy and cringe.", she looked at him with her lower lips pluckering out.

"How!!??", he chuckled seeing her red nose flaring up jn anger.

"That day too, you saved your number as Hubby. Are you for real?",she whisper yelled at him with quoting 'Hubby' in air.

"I love to see this flustered face of yours.", he shrugged rubbing his jawline with thumb.

She squinted her eyes at him, as if warning him for future.

Minutes passed in silence. Nobody was saying anything. Raina was staring the vase kept on coffee table and Adhiraj was gazing at her.

"You didn't came yesterday to meet me. Why?", he came up with the question.

"Even you were very distant. You were angry?",she shrugged.

"So you ran away?"

Raina looked at him when he accused her, but after couple of seconds she moved her eyes elsewhere because his accusations were right.

"What will you do after marriage? You won't get any escape then."

Raina's eyes we're holding a bit of fear when she asked, "Do you think that I will be able to tolerate your anger at that time?"

He chuckled dryly, stretching her name, "Rainaaa....."

He slided his chair little more closer. Her legs were trapped between his giant ones. Raina ducked her head in embarrassment, the position was looking scandalous to her.

He held her chin his thumb and forefinger and lifted her face up to meet his eyes.

His voice became softer because of the red hue tainting her warm beige cheeks.

"Why are you thinking of tolerating it when you can control it?"

He left her confusion laced face and grasped her clasping palms.

He started loosing the grip of her fingers as he said, "Learn to tame my beast Raina, it is very nasty. When unleashed, it is lethal."

Raina shivered at his touch and ,severe coldness and brutality in his voice.

She thought of getting back her hands but his hold got more tight. After few attempts, she let her hands rest in the confidence of his bigger palms.

"Are you indirectly scaring me and telling me to control your mood at same time?", she quipped.

"I am.",he nodded seriously.

"I didn't think of you as someone who would let anyone control anything about him, little or big.",she remembered everything about him and said the conclusion she got.

"This is not business Raina, we are talking about our personal life now.", he tilted his head making Raina nod in agreement.

"Anyways, now tell me why you came yesterday?", he changed the topic.

"You don't know?", she quirked her eyebrows.

He smiled and ran his thumbs over her knuckles sending a shiver in her body with his simplest stroke,"Well I got to know, but doesn't matter. Well, it's good to listen it from your mouth."

She watched him amused. Talking to him was always felt thrilling. A strange comfort, tinge of nervousness, it was always like a tangy twist.

Within ten minutes she was done elaborating her planning and execution.

Adhiraj was lost in her vibrant eyes, she was so ecstatic about it. Anybody can guess it from her face itself.

"And today morning I sent those papers for further procedures.",she squeezed his hands unintentionally in glee.

Adhiraj unclasped his hands from hers, Raina frowned on the sudden loss of warmth but managed her composer next second.

Adhiraj grabbed the glass from table and poured water in it, offering it to her he wished,"Congratulations on making 7% shares in SkyHigh Industries."

Raina took the glass muttering a thankyou, she sipped water, providing moisture to her parched throat. Her tongue was feeling like cactus from non stop talking.

"Finally,it's happening what you wanted.",he remarked.

She stopped drinking her water and looked at him. After putting the half emptied glass on table she released a breath looking at the wall behind him.

"Do you want to know what I want?", she asked in weak whisper.

Adhiraj nodded.

Raina was in her thoughts, wandering through different worlds, not acknowledging the intense eyes staring back at her. She was again feeling anxiety bubbling in the pit of her stomach.

Adhiraj pushed back his chair, creating distance between them. He stood up and gestured Raina to follow his lead.

They were standing facing the wall glass. Adhiraj patted her shoulders pulling her a little closer still looking out but a distance was still between them. Adhiraj wanted to comfort her but he didn't want her to feel suffocated or nervous in his proximity.

They both were staring out from the multi-storey building, not meeting each other's eyes.

"To be honest, I agree with Kaka Hukum. I want both of those bastards to see the real hell, I want them to feel the pain my parents felt, I want see the fear in their eyes, I want to see them crying, crying for their life. I want to see their destruction. I want to see them helpless. Name the most miserable situation, I want them living through it."

Adhiraj was surprised at the amount of hatred her voice carried but what was more shocking was her thoughts.

She craned her neck meeting his gaze and giving him the view of his glassy eyes and troubled expression in her face.

"But I can't.", the amplitude of her tone dropped many units. She whispered meekly, a lone tear escaped her right eye, descending her cheek bones leaving wet trail of its existence.

"I can't because papa and mumma won't be happy, they didn't want their daughter to be like this. And....and I won't be. I won't be brutal like those murderers. I won't.", her voice came our shakey and her breathings ragged.

Adhiraj put his hand behind her neck and pulled her in his embrace. After getting the shelter of his arms, she sobbed. She was sobbing silently, letting out her feelings.

If it would have been other time, she would try her best to control her emotions but now she knew not to bottle up her feelings again.

She wanted to come out of her depression and best way to do it by let go of the painful feelings that too when she had few peoples with whom she can trust with her life.

She tried to say something but her voice came out muffled.

Adhiraj was rubbing her back , Raina sniffed clutching his shirt from sides. His tightened arms were providing her contentment.

"It's okey Raina, it's alright. Calm down.", he pulled a bit away only to see her face.

Raina retreated her one hand wiped the lineage of tears, she was looking down but Adhiraj cupped her cheeks who were red and warm due to the recent emotional overflow.

"My innocent wife, no need to feel embarassed in being the real you in front me. Got it?",he schooled her.

Raina closed her eyes getting relieved by his cold hands on her warm cheeks. Nonetheless she nodded.

"Good.", he uncaged her body from his arms and took couple of steps back to create distance.

"Now listen, for next four weeks just keep Jayant and Chauhan away from your mind. Now I won't like seeing my bride upset during marriage ritual.", he tilted his head sideways.

"Uhh..??",Raina was confused.

He smiled, actually grinned,"After long and rigorous discussion last night, Baba sa and Maa sa got a solution of our problems. We are getting married on the decided date only, we will have a private ceremony with close relatives only in Udaipur. And back in here, no one will know about it till everything will settle on its place. And we will have a grand party when you will be ready ,ready to be known as the Yuvrani of Suryagarh Province."

Raina felt butterflies fluttering in her chest as he disclosed the news to her. Finally, the realisation dawned on her, she was getting married soon, like really soon. She was going to be the wife of the crown prince of Suryagarh. She was going to be his better half.

Adhiraj broke her trance,"One more thing, tomorrow afternoon be present at palace. Dadi sa is coming to meet you."

"Uhh..oh..",Raina squirmed remembering that strict old lady.

"Don't run away this time.", Adhiraj again teased her.

"I didn't, you were so angry. Even you agreed to postpone our marriage.", Raina huffed.

"Because I wanted to give you time and yeah! I was angry. After listening to that greedy leech, my temper was going high. Maybe it was good that you didn't come,I wanted some space.", Adhiraj confessed without any pretense.

"So...", Raina trailed off.

"So...??", Adhiraj too played along.

"I should go,its been one hour already in your cabin.", she said ready to dash out when he spoke up again, "Running away from me?"

"No!!", Raina denied shaking her head, maybe too much to prove his sentence right.

Adhiraj bit back a smile, "Then wait for me at parking lot,near my car. We are going to palace now."

"Why?", Raina asked.

"Your Kaka Hukum's order.", he shrugged.

Raina nodded. They walked near the big oak table.

He glanced at her and spoke with mischief, "My resources told me that you like chocolates."

He took few steps towards the table but stopped when he heard her giggling, she laughed lightly at his comment,"Resources?? Seriously Adhiraj?"

He held her elbow and made her stand in front of him.

She looked at him bewildered when he started taking steps towards her and unintentionally she started taking steps back,"What?"

He shook his head, "My name sounds great from your mouth."

Her back touched the edge of table then she realised that she had been shifting back, Adhiraj was just couple of inches away, "Wh-what are you doing?"

He smirked and leaned forward, tucking hair behind her ear,he whispered,"Now my wife ain't calling me sir anymore, so I am trying to find my kink from somewhere else."

Raina shivered at the proximity. Just few time ago they hugged each other, but at that time one person was just too much emotional and other person was trying to calm her. And now one person was probably teasing other person with the physical intimacy.

He leaned more, pushing Raina a bit down but retrieved soon. Picking up the box from the table he placed it in her hands, he backed away a little with a smirk, "Your chocolates."

Her cheeks were again on fire.

"Now, stop blushing otherwise what will they think? You see, you were with your sir in his cabin from past 1 hour, and your profusely blushing face may lead to many assumptions like you and me...."

Before he could speak anything more, Raina opened the box and thrusted one chocolate in his mouth to shut him up.

She whispered unbelievably shaking her head, "You have this side too?"

He gulped the chocolate and winked at her, "Believe me, I haven't showed my other side to you yet."

Raina came out from that space confined with table and not so bad prince. She was looking at the door, probably thinking of going out. Before she can take any step towards the exit, he was again in front of her.

He cupped her cheek and said in a concerned yet strong voice, "Just keep calm, okay? Keep those persons away from your mind. We are with you, I am with you but most importantly, you are strong enough to face them alone."

She nodded , he came forward and again placed a kiss on her forehead. Raina was clutching the hem of her shirt tightly when the fluttering touch appears.

She smiled at him, "You go to palace, I will be there just after a while."

Adhiraj shook his head, denying her,"Raina!!!"

But Raina beat him in that,"Adhiraj!!!"

Seeing Adhiraj convinced enough, she placed the box near him on the table and said scrunching her nose a little,"And keep this chocolates with you. I don't want employees to see me coming out of my sir's cabin with a cute chocolate box. They will make so many assumptions like....", she just trailed off in last.

"Like?", Adhiraj played along.

"Like? Why are you asking me? You have a dirty mind already. Keep imagining.", Raina scoffed.

"You want me to imagine something dirty about us?", he raised his one eyebrow with amusing eyes.

Raina shrieked closing her eyes, "Adhiraj!!!"

Adhiraj laughed seeing her like this this.

Raina was standing beside Adhiraj. Except Gaurav, everyone was present as he had to return to Pune due to some official emergency.

"May Mahadev and Maa Parvati, Shiva and Shakti bless the couple with happiness,togetherness and all the love through eternity.",he was writing the dates and the name of bride and groom on a white page with red colour.

After preparing 'Lagan Patrika', he placed them near Shivling, inviting all the gods in the marriage.

Vasudha picked one plate full of sweet and offered it to the God first, and afterwards fed Raina and Adhiraj from it.

Raina looked at the people whom she called family, all were so happy about it, feeding each other sweets and congratulating each other.

She turned towards the 'Shivling' and prayed to him to maintain all the happiness the way it was.

"Don't worry, Nothing bad will happen. This is a new start for us.", Adhiraj said standing beside her.

He forwarded a piece of sweet towards her with a soft and small smile on his lips.

She nodded eating the sweet.

Finally! !! The marriage ritual started, if God wills we will reach Udaipur in next update. 🙃🙃
