The Crowned Prince
Happy reading and spam my comment box.
"That doctor said that my baby is weak.", Dia sobbed again. Gaurav rubbed her back, trying to pacify his wife whereas Raina was reading her health reports and Akshit holding Dia's hand.
Raina looked up at her.
"You stupid girl, doctor prescribed medicines too, it's normal. What she meant to say that you should take extra nutrients properly. And yeah, baby is little weak but he/she will cope up easily. Just take your vitamins.", Raina said putting the reports back on the table and leaning slumping back on sofa.
She reached Dia's home early morning. By God's grace Dia also woke up and she was looking healthy.
"But Raina...", Dia interjected.
"Raina, you go and take rest. You haven't got a wink of sleep last night. I will handle her.", Gaurav said and motioned her towards a room.
"I am also going to brush my teeth.", Akshit yawned and went inside another room.
He reached Pune in midnight and so gotta a good sleep but poor Raina didn't get a moment of relief even. Dia's condition and Adhiraj's confession was blowing her mind.
Raina got up and went towards another room.
"Now wifey, who told you to go there without me?", Gaurav turned to Dia and asked.
Only he knew how much he freaked out last day when she was crying and was not talking about it.
"You were busy and moreover I am an independent woman.", Dia shrugged.
Gaurav shook his head at her silliness.
"I am not questioning your independence Dia. I know you are independent but here, the point is different. But there is something called moral support, if I would have been there you wouldn't be like this, crying your eyes out.", she hit her head lightly.
She pouted, realising her mistake. She muttered sorry to him.
"It's okay. But remember always, seeking love and comfort from someone never means that you are weak.",Gaurav smiled hugging her.
Raina was smiling listening to there talk. She was going to close her door but Gaurav's sentence made her stop.
Those words striked her directly.
She came out of her daze and locked her door. After turning, she leaned back against the door.
Her heartbeat paced up remembering his words. An unknown shiver ran through her body remembering his intense eyes. She closed her eyes remembering his well sculpted arms around her.
The sounds from outside broke her trance, she ran her hands through her long traces.
"I should tell them."

"What if she won't agree? What will you do?", Rohan asked looking at him closely.
He leaned back on the chair of his study room, touching the paperweight with his fingers.
"Will you force her into marriage?", Rohan asked seeing him so much calm.
He shook his head and said, "I will give her time."
Rohan again asked,"What if she will not agree even after the given time?"
"Why are you so negative?",he frowned.
Constant doubts from Rohan was irritating him.
"Shut the fuck up before I throw you out from window.", he groaned.
Rohan nervously laughed, finally getting a glimpse of an angry Yuvraj.
Adhiraj stood up from there and walked out of his study room. Passing through a long corridor , he stopped at the end of gallery. He tucked his hands in his trouser's pockets ,looking at the view the place was providing him.
Even he knew that situation was critical at that time, he also knew how much unpredictability was within Raina.
That thought was bugging him nonstop.
But will he let her walk past him? Will he let her choose someone else?
And the answer is big no. Hell, he can't imagine her with other person.
"Make a decision soon Raina, otherwise I will have to intervene."
Will he force her?
No dude, he wasn't planning to hurt her even a bit, but he will mould the situations around her so delicately and skillfully that she will agree to marry him willingly.
He knew she didn't had any specific feelings for him but arrange marriage exists, right? So let it be, an arrange marriage for her.
And if she will not compromise anything less then falling in love before tieing the knots then he will have to do something. He had his own ways to tackle the situations and he loved to do it beautifully.
He had already talked to Raina which was very rare of him but he did.
He put forth his points without any hesitation and he expected Raina to see beyond his words, he wanted her to see the promise he had given.
He had enough trust on Raina intelligence that she will decipher the situation accordingly.
But embers of doubts were burning his peace slowly, venomously and painfully.

"And you didn't feel the need to talk about this? You kept us in darkness?", Akshit growled in anger.
"No Akshit, listen..", Raina tried to say something but Akshit beat her in that, "What should I listen? That we mean no importance in your life?"
Raina was going towards him but she stopped in midway after hearing his next sentence.
He laughed mockingly, "Of course why will we? Who are we? Nothing more just random people you met. Just casual friends ,nothing more."
Raina's eyes became glassy after listening his words.
Dia who was seating on the sofa, behaving very calm, a contrast of her morning behavior, she said, "Akshit, you are over reacting."
It was like fuel to his anger.
He shouted, "I am over reacting? Really? Then why don't you ask her , why she kept these things hidden from us?"
Dia sat there with a bored expression whereas Gaurav was standing at a distance watching the drama with wide eyes.
"What happen? No answers?", Akshit snapped.
He turned on his heels and went inside a room, slamming the door hard.
"God, here I am pregnant and he is having mood swings.", Dia rolled her eyes.
She was calm because Akshit behaved same way before, when she revealed her relationship with Gaurav. He went a caveman after hearing that, so it was not a new thing for her.
"Raina, go and talk to that hulk.", Dia said.
Raina nodded and turned the knob to enter the room.
Akshit was standing near the window, staring out of it.
She called out for him,"Akshit!!! Listen"
Akshit didn't buzz from there, he continue to look outside.
She walked to him saying,"Dude, listen please. I didn't think that Adhiraj sir would know about it. I thought that it was just an accident."
She stood beside him and said,"I didn't expect that it will come in front of me in future."
Her voice was turning low due to the emotions flowing through her mind.
"Don't say that you both mean nothing to me. It hurts. You both are the only hopes in my life all those years.", her voice came out cracked.
"But you should have told me. You endure all this alone. I would have done something.", finally Akshit faced her.
"Many things were happening in both of our lives, it was kind of inevitable. And also I forgot about it.", she shrugged.
"Still, you had no reason for hiding it.", Akshit again said glaring at her.
"Don't be too stubborn.",Raina bumped her elbow with his side stomach.
He ignored her comment and asked,"Raina, what do you think of Adhiraj's proposal?"
Raina looked at him with wide eyes, but after a minute she turned to window, looking out of it.
She muttered, "I don't know."
He placed hand on her shoulder,"If he is forcing you then tell me clearly, I will do everything in my power to stop him."
Raina met his eyes, after few seconds a smile broke on her face.
She shook her head, "No, he is not forcing me. He just said what was in his mind."
Akshit casually asked, "Okay, and what was it?"
Raina raised her shoulders a little and then let them fell, "It's personal, you know."
Akshit nudged her with elbow, a stupid teasing smile on his face, "Really? Personal?"
Raina avoided hom royally.
"Do you feel comfortable with them?", he asked.
Raina nodded in response.
He leaned on the window grill, looking at her, "What about him? "
Raina shrugged,"I don't know."
"What impression he has on you? Positive or negative?"
"Positive.", Raina ran her fingers on the hem of her tunic.
"Then think about every pros and cons properly. I won't say more.", Akshit ruffled her hair.
Raina held his hand when he began to walk past her.
He looked at her with raised eyebrows.
Raina asked, "You said you will do every thing to stop him. Do you know how dangerous he is?"
He came closer to her and smiled, "I know it. And you also know that I mean my words."
Raina was admiring the determination in his eyes. Akshit knew that Adhiraj can go to the extent of killing. And Akshit can go to the extent getting killed if the question was on his family members.
Raina engulfed him in a bear hug, taking him by surprise,"Awwww. Akshit, you are so cute."
Akshit laughed wrapping his arms around her, "Nah, I am handsome."
Raina shook her head at his arrogant comment,"You, obnoxious monkey."
"If you both are done making peace then come out. We have to go out in evening."
Raina and Akshit parted, laughing at the shoutings of Dia.

Raina unwrapped the towel from her head and let the wet traces fall freely. She ran her fingers through them, liking the smooth texture.
She admired her hip length brown locks. Though she never did any extra effort , but her hairs were like wild plants. Strong and beautiful without any special care.
Suddenly a memory came back rushing to her mind. When Adhiraj was wiping her hairs so lovingly.
Raina groaned in frustration.
From past two days, she couldn't help but constantly think over his words, over him. Akshit and Dia were aware of her dilemma but they decided to let her handle it alone.
Raina saw her mobile.
"Should I call him?", Raina ponder over the thought of calling our very own prince.
"Talking once about things won't hurt, right?"
"I am so confused, maybe he can help.", without her knowledge, Adhiraj had became that person in her life who was always present to solve her problems.
"Help? He is the root cause of every thing", she made a face and sat with a thump on the bed.
"I don't have his number. Wow, and I was going to talk to him. How? By telepathy?", she facepalmed herself.
Her phone pinged with a message. She glanced at it. It was reminder of her appointment with counsellor. Since she was out of Jodhpur, Vasudha made sure that she wouldn't miss it , that's why counsellor arranged video conference with her.
"Oh shit!!", Raina realised that she should actually look a bit presentable. Now, she can't show her unruly hairs and her oversized tee to doctor, right?
"Ms. Raina so everything is going alright. Your anxiety level is also decreasing and yeah, you are going good....", her counsellor was done with her regular questions.
"Doctor, I want to ask something.", Raina interrupted her and asked.
"Yeah, go on.", the doctor took off her specs and signalled her to continue.
Raina fidgeted her fingers awkwardly, "Do you think that I am ready for marriage? You know, it is a very big step and you are already aware of my mental condition."
Raina was done with the questions running in her mind, she finally asked them. The counsellor was a middle aged woman, experienced in the art if living professionally and practically both. She was always ready with her answers when Raina was in any mental dilemma.
"Raina, a healthy relationship is very necessary in our lives. Whether it is with a family or a person. If it is not toxic then it helps us to stabilise our mental and physical health both. But it should be willing relationship, not forced one.", she said.
"If you are happily married, depression and stress are most likely to reduce.", she smiled softly.
She knew Raina was tensed about her depression and anxiety coming in between of her relationships and that's why she never tried any intimate relationships in her past, Raina herself had told this to her.
"If you are sceptical about marriage because of your health then don't be. Raina, you are a good human being. You were just lonely, not in person but in your mind. You were tolerating all those nightmares alone all these years. That's the main reason of your depression, loneliness. Partners are tend to decrease that.", she said in her usual soothing voice.
Raina thought for a minute, her words were really surprising.
"Oh. But how should I know if he is the right person for me? I mean, we are just from two different worlds.", she hurled out her second insecurity.
"In filmy way, Opposite attracts.", the doctor giggles.
But soon she cleared her throat and said, "But in reality, two opposite people balance the dish of life with the taste of every spices. Of course the differences shouldn't be more enough to create a rift between two."
"Ahh.... First tell me, arranged marriage or love one?", doctor asked to know the situation mire deeply.
"Arranged", Raina said considering the situations.
"Do you know that man already?", she asked and in return Raina nodded.
"Then It would be easy for you.", she smiled.
"How much I have understood you, what you need is a strong man who can embrace your true self easily."
"Even you don't know Ms. Raina, but your personality is kind of different. You are brave but you need someone trust worthy to show your vulnerable side. You are more carefree then you think, just the thing is you need to start opening up and you are doing it, but the progress is very slow. ", doctor pressed her lips in thin line after stating the fact.
"If you think that he can handle your emotions and can swiftly change your mood then you can think over it. You see, loving someone gives you strength but being loved by same person insanely fill you with overwhelming courage. This is called exchange of powers within couples."
"Being in love is very good for mental health. Scientifically, it secrets many hormones necessary for your happiness and I won't bore you with facts.", she tried to joke.
"And also, love can't be developed in a day or two. It's something that takes time to be strong.", she pacified Raina.
"I want to say only one thing.", she sighed.
"What is it?", Raina asked.
"Find a true man for yourself. A true man will want you to shine, he will never stop you from being your amazing self. A true man loves to show off his happy, intelligent and strong woman to world. And that's what you need.", counsellor tried to shorten the whole things in few lines pushing Raina into the deep valley of thinking
"I think that's enough otherwise your mind will go haywire. I will suggest you to enjoy your break there. Don't stress to much over this. What is meant to happen, it will happen no matter what. Destiny is a mastercard in our life."
Raina nodded.
She sighed after closing the flap of laptop.
She leaned back on the chair, closing her eyes.
After a minute, she stod up saying, "I think enjoying my time here is only option."
She shook her head, "Life is very difficult."
How was it?.
