Raina's POV-

My breath got stuck when I opened it and tears brimmed in my eyes, I felt someone sitting beside me and I closed the flap of laptop in an instant.

"Hey?!!", Adya said looking a bit taken aback from my action.

I tried to smile but only I knew what I was feeling inside , I blinked my eyes to control my emotions.

Author's POV-

She asked looking closely at her face, "Why are your looking so dull all of sudden?"

"Nothing. Just tired.", Raina shook her head.

"Let's go for a walk.", Adya stood up and smiled at her.

"Sure.", Raina said meekly, she wanted to divert her mind from all the things so she agreed.

Both started strolling in the garden, Adya was saying something but Raina was only giving monosyllabic answers.

Floral scents hit her sense, she gazed around and she gasped on seeing flowerbeds planted in a specific pattern surrounding her. She wondered if it was looking so beautiful in moonlight then how would it look in day.

They had walked to a distance when Adya pulled her, "Raina, come. I want to show you something."

Raina spotted that some walls were visible then she realised that she had came to the boundary of palace. No wonders why her legs were hurting so much.

Adya pulled her excitedly behind a huge tree.

Raina was confused on her act, "Adya, what is here?"

Adya turned around and started saying, "You know, in our teenage days, me and Adhvan used to sneak out of palace. And our secret exit is here." She giggled in end.

Raina looked around in confusion and said, "How? By climbing the tree and jumping over the wall?"

Adya rolled her eyes, "Nah idiot. Come closer."

Raina went closer to the wall.

"You see it's not so high here and there is cracks so climbing is very easy.", Adya said.

"How come anyone didn't noticed it?", Raina was confused a little.

"Because it is shadowed by this huge tree and it is in the side of palace. Moreover, we have a strict security system so doesn't matter.", Adya shrugged her shoulders.

"But you know there is one danger.", Adya suddenly said making Raina jump.

Without waiting for her response, Adya pulled her away from the wall and tree.

She pointed at a particular distance, "You see that balcony with plants around it?"

Raina squinted her eye to clearly look at what Adya was pointing, it was at a distance but the big door in balcony and light coming from it made the task easier.

Raina thought, "Isn't it a little bit big to be called a balcony.?"

She nodded her head.

"It is the chamber of Adhiraj bhai sa and he nearly caught us when we were escaping for Rudra temple. But somehow we got saved.", Adya laughed.

Raina's ear perked up, "Rudra temple? Is it nearby?"

Adya nodded her head telling that it is only 20 minutes of walk from there. They decided to go back to room. After a long walk back, Raina went to her room after wishing Adya good night and picking her laptop from that table on the way.

She scurried to the cupboard to find that phone as soon as she entered her room.

She pressed her phone between her shoulder and ear, the call on the dialing mode, her hands worked on its own and she opened the email.

There were many pictures but the third one was what she was looking for.

Soon her informer received the call. With a heavy heart she told him to get the address of bunglow in the third picture.

She found her fingers caressing the screen and lone tear escaped from her eye, "Home Sweet Home."

She smiled through her tears and sighed.

Raina sighed for the 27th time in the meeting. Her gaze was going again and again on the phone waiting for the message, all the words speaking around the table seems to be hazy as her mind wandered to different places.

Much to her relief it ended soon. She was assigned to brief about the meeting to Adhiraj. Without any word she started walking to his cabin. She entered inside after asking for permission.

Adhiraj showed his hand to the visitors to stop their talking and leaned back on his seat as he saw her coming. Raina saw a lady and a man seating opposite of Adhiraj.

That girl frowned on seeing his attitude and glared at Raina for interrupting their conversation.

She walk to him and said, "Sir, the format is finalised and we need you to approve this."

Adhiraj nodded his head and took the file from her hand, he was going through it while Raina was standing their.

She felt her phone vibrating in her hand, she glanced at her phone and found that ger informer had sent her the address.

She inhaled a sharp breath thinking about it, the most feared yet awaited moment was there. She was going to face that place which beholds the most cherished and also the most haunted moments of her life.

Her reverie was broken by a feminine voice,"Hey!! Get me a coffee."

Raina blinked her eyes in confusion and looked around but no one was there.

Concluding that she was talking to her, she couldn't help but utter in surprise, "Excuse me!!"

She rolled her eyes and said in a sharp tone, "I said get me a coffee."

This time Adhiraj heard it, at first he was engrossed in reading file but now his attention was clearly on the girl seating in front of him.

He was already pissed off on her unprofessional attitude, what was she doing here even? On the name of meeting only that man who was her employee was speaking and she was seating and oogling at him or his cabin.

He was going to say something but Raina beat him in that.

"Ms., I think you should say it to the peon and canteen is on this floor itself , you can go and fetch your coffee.", she said with a smile but the cold note in her voice was very clear. She couldn't let anyone walk over her, she had lived her life with self respect till now.

"So? You can also bring it for me . You are also an employee here.", that girl said raising her eyebrows in arrogance.

"Everyone is assigned with their respective work here and it's not my job.", Raina said in sugarcoated voice.

"Do you even know with whom you are talking to?", she seethed in anger.

"Will I go on mopping the floor after knowing your whereabouts?", this time Raina clearly mocked her.

"How dare you to talk like that to Divya Chauhan. Daughter of the owner of SkyHigh Industries. It will take me two minutes to fire you.", that girl said loudly with her red face.

Her words made her her still in her place, her eyes widened in anticipation . Her throat felt dry but she maintained a straight face

"Enough!!", Adhiraj's voice boomed in the cabin, he had enough of this drama.

"How far as I know, she works for Rajputana not Chauhans.", his eyes were piercing Divya.

"Raina. Here take this file and complete this before evening.", he placed a file forward and his eyes softened involuntarily as it flickered to Raina.

"Sir? Actual-",she tried to say something. She wanted to ask for an early leave so that she could go to her 'home'.

"Raina. Leave.", he said in a authoritative voice pronouncing each word clearly leaving no room for discussion.

She took the file clenching her jaw and left the room without glancing at anyone. Meanwhile Divya was smirking on that scenario but soon it wiped off from her face as Adhiraj turned his attention to them.

The manager who came with her visibly shrunk in his seat due to his strong gaze.

Rathores were seating in the living room sipping on their evening tea.

It was already dark outside.

Maheshwari came and sat on the sofa opposite to them, she looked up at Uday Singh, "Rana sa, I didn't expected this kind of behavior from Yuvraj."

"What happened Dadi sa?", they heard the voice and saw Adhiraj walking inside.

He settled gracefully placing his arm on the armrest of his chair and raised his eyebrows in question.

"Yuvraj sa, today a girl went to meet you and your one employee disrespected him, even you didn't do anything.",she said.

"What do you mean Bua sa?", Uday Singh Rathore interjected.

"When I was in Udaipur, a proposal came for Adhiraj. She is a well mannered girl belonging from a God family. She wanted to meet him first so she went to his office with an excuse of meeting and a mere servant insulted her."

"WHAT!!!",Adya and Adhvan screamed in unison.

But a look from Vasudha and they composed themselves.

Maheshwari said annoyed, "How dare a mere employee insult her? Who was that employee?"

Adhiraj said in a clam voice, "It doesn't matter who was the employee. What matters is who gave the right to your guest to talk in that manner with a high posted person of Rajputana?"

A heavy silence prevailed there.

Vasudha cleared her throat to ease the tension, she asked, "Who is the girl Bua sa?"

"Her name is Divya Chauhan. She is the daughter of Jayant Chauhan, he is a businessman. Jayant is a soft spoken person, humble too.", Maheshwari said.

Uday Singh clenched his fist tightly as he turned rigid and asked after few seconds in a calm yet dangerously low voice, "How did you meet him?"

"I met him in a charity event few months back. He is a good person. Couple of days back, he came to Udaipur so he came to meet me and proposed this alliance.", elderly lady explained.

Vasudha slided her arm behind him placing it on his back and caressing in a vertical pattern to calm him, she did not want their children to witness his raging father.

Uday Singh took a deep breath and said, "Bua sa, this won't happen. I don't have a good relationship with him."

Maheshwari tried to insist, "He told me about it Rana sa but he is willing to mend this relationship with you. Moreover, it's not new to start a matrimonial relationship with your opposition to gain more power,it is being done in our past too."

Adhvan leaned to Adya and whispered, "What the hell is she speaking? What is it? 18th century?"

Adya facepalmed herself after seeing this drama unfolding in front of her.

Rana sa groaned, his calm was slipping away, "Bua sa. Stay away from him, he is not a type of person on whom you should trust. Don't let him come near you again. I am increasing the security of yours."

"But-", Maheshwari again tried to say something but was cut off in middle by his abrupt standing.

That's it, his eyes were red from his control , his voice shook as he spoke, "Not a word about it Bua sa. Not a word. I am not interested in mending my relationship with him and forget about this marriage. I won't let it happen till I am alive. Believe me when I say this, if I wouldn't have controlled myself then he would have been in hell right now."

With that he marched out from the living room with Vasudha going beside him. Maheshwari was furious on his reaction, he never denied her but this time he was talking back to her that too with voice full of anger, she also went away.

Three siblings were shocked to see their ever so composed father trembling in anger.

Adhiraj thought for sometime and decided to dig up about this Chauhan family, in his office he behaved coldly with them after Raina left his cabin . But those idiots insisted him to think about their deal.

He checked the time in his phone and decided to go to Rohan's place.

Adya saw a servant passing by, she called him and asked, "Has Raina returned?"

Raina refused to come with her as she has some extra work...

That servant nodded in no, "No Baisaa."

Adya dismisses him and exclaimed, "God. Where is this girl? It's so late. Her phone is also probably dead."

Adhiraj closed his eyes as he realised his mistake. He had given her a whole file with a command to complete it within the day and that workaholic girl was still in office.

"Should I go and check?"Adhvan asked Adya.

Adhiraj butted in as he stood up, "No need. I am going to Rohan's house. The office is on the way, I will check on her."

Adya asked, "Are you sure Bhai sa?"

Adhiraj nodded and left that place.

Adhiraj rolled down his window glass as he stopped his car in front of the office building. Watchman ran to him and bowed his head in respect.

Adhiraj asked, "Is anyone still in office? Or any girl?"

Watchman nodded in no and said, "No Yuvraj sa, a girl left ten minutes ago. She asked for a address and got into cab."

"Which address?", he asked.

Watchman told him the address, he frowned listening it. It was at a half an hour distance and an old posh area.

"Where is this girl going at this hour?", he thought while driving his car to the same destination.

So how was it?
