Next day was no different, following the same routine Raina was again busy in her work when a peon told Raina that Mr. Aggarwal had called her.

She went to his cabin but when she was going to enter the door opened and Mr. Aggarwal came outside himself.

He saw her and smiled, "Oh Raina, you came. Come let's go."

She followed him but asked, "Where sir?"

He said, "Come, come. I will tell you."

He opened a door and motioned her to enter .

She entered and her eyes widened in shock to see the view around her.

In front of her stood a big wall glass partially covered with dark grey curtains. Big sofas were places in one side with shining black coffee table.

Her eyes moved to her right to see the big wooden desk and most importantly the person seating beside it on his chair clad in his expensive white shirt with sleeves folded upto his elbow and A black watch covering his wrist.

"Sir!",Mr. Aggarwal addressed him.

Adhiraj looked up with a knowing look and motioned the old man to take seat completely ignoring the girl standing behind him looking at him with wide eyes.

Mr. Aggarwal shook his head and said in a hurry, "Sir, I have a meeting to attend so. I will leave you alone with Raina. As you know I have recommended her name so please kindly brief her."

Adhiraj nodded and soon Mr. Aggarwal left the cabin. Adhiraj said in his usual strong voice, "Take seat Ms. Raina."

He leaned back on his chair now watching her , Raina pulled the seat and sat unsure of the things happening and confusion rubbed all over face.

Adhiraj said with his undivided attention, "Ms. Raina. Mr. Aggarwal is the COO of Rajputana Business, he is in need of a reliable person as the former employee left job. Yesterday, Adya suggested your name and Mr. Aggarwal was more then okay with you."

Raina was listening him with a straight face but her heart was beating in anticipation, she was beating her inner cheeks to stop the smile forming on her face. After all who doesn't like promotion.

Adhiraj put a file in front of her and said, "So here is your promotion letter along with your new assignment."

Raina took it, she blinked her eyes not believing it. Literally stopping herself from jumping there, it was a huge step in her professional life.

"You wil-", he was saying something but his phone went off in middle.

He stood up after seeing that Rohan was calling him, he motioned her to stay there. Raina nodded her head.

He went to other corner of his extra spacious cabin and picked it up, "What happen?"

"Nothing much. Just two is dead and others won't make it through tonight too.", Rohan said looking at the unconscious men laying on the floor bleeding from almost every part.

"Any information?", Adhiraj asked tucking his free hand inside pocket.

"Nothing much. They didn't know your identity then, and ... I have recorded it, I will send you video.", Rohan said not wanting to elaborate at that moment.

Adhiraj hummed in response.

Here Raina was looking around his cabin, the wall behind his desk was covered with four piece painting and dark coffee coloured shelves in the right side of wall were very unique but elegant.

Files were placed there very neatly. She was waiting for him to come, she peeked in his side and found him still busy on his call.

Rohan asked, "What do you want me to do about these dead bodies?"

"Return the favor, Do whatever you want but they should get what they wanted to give me.", Adhiraj said in a dark tone.

"I get it.", With that Rohan hung up.

Adhiraj glanced at Raina who was tapping her fingers on the table. He removed his eyes from her wanted to compose himself before going near her.

He opened the top button of his shirt and took few deep breaths to calm himself. When he felt that his anger was subsiding a little, he walked to her.

Raina sat straight after seeing him coming.

He looked at her and thought for a while remembering their remaining conversation. He leaned back with his arms placed on armrest of chair, "Yeah. So i was saying that you will work directly under Mr. Aggarwal but if you will be handling any important project, you will have to report me directly too."

Her eyes subconsciously travelled to his chest which was on a little display and his biceps flexing under that white fabric but she jolted herself out from her drooling world before he can notice.

"Am I clear?", Adhiraj asked forcing her eyes to meet him.

She bobbed her head up and down, seeing that he was not going to say anything, she stood and left the cabin after his permission.

Adhiraj ran his fingers in his hair to calm the rage twirling inside him. He leaned back and closed his eyes, a face flashed in front of his eyes, Raina trying to stop her smile by clenching her teeth but the twinkle in her eyes didn't get unnoticed by him.

He opened his eyes and slowly looked at the chair where she was sitting few minutes ago. He didn't have to do anything, she was being pushed towards him by destiny.

With a smirk playing on his lips he decided to do the rest of his works.

Raina and Adya was seating in a cafe after their working hours eating Raina's favourite chocolate pastry.

Adhvan slumped on the chair completely freaking out the girls, "Oh oh. Party without me?"

He laughed on seeing their horror stricken faces.

Already enough sweet dishes were on table, he picked one brownie and started devouring on it.

He stopped and stucked his hand out to Raina, "Congratulations on your promotion."

Raina let out a full blown smile and chirped a thank you shaking hands with him.

Adhvan gazed at her for sometime, Raina looked up with raised eyebrows, "What happened? Is there chocolate on my face? ". She touched her face near mouth looking for any chocolate cream.

Adhvan shook his head and chuckled. He said awkwardly, "Actually, I am seeing you first time smiling to fullest. Of course other then that day when you jumped on Akshit's back."

Raina laughed and shrugged, "My emotions are all over the place. Still butterflies are flying in my stomach remembering the news."

Adya felt her phone vibrating, she checked it and found a massage from her mother.

She looked at Adhvan and said, "We have to go back to palace urgently."

Raina frowned, "Why?"

Adhvan was also mirroring her expression.

She stood up and said, "I will tell you in the car. But let's hurry up now."

They all sat inside Adhvan's car.

When car was running on its wheel, Adhvan asked, "Jiji sa. What happened?"

"Dadi sa happened.", Adya sighed and slumped against the seat.

"Wh-What?", Adhvan stuttered.

Adya nodded her head pouting at the thought.

Raina who was seating on the back seat asked like a lost child, "What's going on?"

Adya turned her head a bit and said, "My grandfather's younger sister or my father's aunt and our grandmother is coming. Actually she has come already."

It took half a minute fir Raina to understand that she was talking about one lady not three.

"So?"Raina asked still confused.

"You don't know about her Raina.. She is good but weird. I am not find of her that much",Adhvan answered her.

"Why?", Raina asked.

"Let me tell you. Actually Baba sa lost her mother at a young age. His aunt means Dadi sa who was the sister of our grandfather took care of him just like a mother , so Baba sa respects her a lot." , Adya enlightened her with a little history.

"I guess that is a good thing.", Raina frowned not understanding the reason for their sour mood.

"It is but she is not so much understanding. She is conservative, still dwelling in old days when there was no technology. And the most annoying thing is that she expects every person around her to follow her rules. If she said anything then it should be done." , Adhvan said making a face.

"Ohh..!!", Raina nodded in understanding.

"Let's see what is there stored for us today. She couldn't come in the party so she is here after few days to grace us with her beautiful presence.", Adya said quoting 'beautiful' in air

Raina laughed at her antics. "What is her name? ", she casually asked looking out of the window with a small smile still intact on her lips.

"The great Maheshwari Sisodiya.", Adya said in a fake heavy tone , three burst into laughter.

Adya smiled seeing Raina laughing from the rear view mirror.

The elderly lady clad in a off white silk saree graciously put the cup back on the table , she looked up at the King and Queen and smiled, "That's good that your children and finally Yuvraj is back to his home. Though,I still did not get it why he chose to struggle in another city like a commoner when he had a big business waiting for him to be taken over."

Uday Singh Rathore was silent and Vasudha smiled, "Bua sa, it was his choice and moreover we can't control their lives. Right? They are grown up enough to take their own dicisions."

Maheshwari looked at her disbelief, "Rani sa but you are his mother. Parents have right to choose the path for their children and children should follow it."

Vasudha decided to stay silent just like Uday Singh.

Maheshwari sighed in disappointment , after a minute of silence she said, "I have an important thing to discuss about."

Uday Singh said, "Yes Bua sa, say it."

"Actually , yesterday an allian-", She started only to be intervened in middle by the sound footsteps.

Adya and Adhvan walked towards her and touched her feet, "Pranam Dadi sa."

She patted their head and gushed, "Oh my! You both are looking like grown ups."

"Looking like? I think we actually are.", Adya wanted to say it on her face but stopped herself.

Raina's POV

I was standing at a distance, more like I was standing at the entrance of the room watching the small reunion of the family.

Subconsciously still watching them, I leaned to the wall at my right side.

I don't know why Adya and Adhvan don't like this lady, she seems to be good.

The sun was almost setting, that means Dia would be back from her collage and Akshit from his office.

Happiness is bubbling inside my stomach ready to burst out and I want to ramble about it to my friends.

I still can't believe it, such a huge step in my career.

I was assuming how will Dia and Akshit will react after listening the news. In morning, I practically started jumping as soon as I left Sir's cabin, today I was behaving quite contrast of my usual behavior. Can't help it actually. A happy sigh escaped my mouth.

I leaned for to the wall liking the warmth radiating from it, such a comfort.

Wait a minute.. Warmth and comfort from a wall??

I craned my neck to look at the WALL. And guess what I found.. My freaking boss on whose biceps I was leaning on looking at me with those amused eyes.

My eyes widened as saucers and the smile of my face dropped. I was still looking at him.

"Ms. Raina. Hope you are comfortable here.", he pointed at his arm.

I hurriedly took some steps back.

"Uhh..Mmm..I..I am sorry sir. I didn't know it was you. I thought it was a w-wall." , I explained to him still in a daze. I can't believe I did such a kind of stupidity.

He didn't said anything but continue to look at me and I was busy in cursing myself keeping my face straight.

"Adhiraj.", that elder lady called as she saw him standing there, his attention was caught by her voice.

Taking it a as a chance, I slipped away walking to my room.

I placed the bag on table, my eyes fell on my reflection. I released a breath and within a minute my cheeks were on fire.

Shit dude. What the hell I did? I was practically clinging to him..

I face palmed myself and fall on the stool placed in front of dressing table with a thud.

After dinner, I was busy in jumping in my room while talking to Akshit and Dia. Both of them were also very happy and were demanding treat, we ended the call as Gaurav had some work with Dia.. Yeah work... I mean WORK.

I took the laptop and walked to the garden holding it. It was past 10 in night. Palace was calm and silent. Dinner was also a calm event. Adhvan and Adya also didn't bicker like usual days and were seating and eating like humans.

I greeted Adya's grandmother and the only thing I received was a curt nod. Okey, she was not welcoming too so am I.

From past few days, this garden was tempting me. So today I decided to pass my night time here. It was not like anybody will notice it.

I placed the laptop in the table and settled myself on the chair placed in garden.

Wind was flowing smoothly and and clear sky was providing ample view of blue ocean with billions of stars.

I thought to check some mails peacefully but when I opened it, I found out that Akshit had spammed me with the graphs of 'congratulations' and 'we want party'.

Arghhh... I was having a strong urge to pull my hair out or slap the face of that monkey. God, which type of friend have you given me.

I started clearing the mess with a foul mood when my gaze fell on a different mail.

My breath got stuck when I opened it and tears brimmed in my eyes, I felt someone sitting beside me and I closed the flap of laptop in an instant.

So how was it...??
