33. Time to eliminate??

Raina again didn't faced Adhiraj except those dinner times even she was busy in her work.

Raina didn't get much time to go outside for her further investigation but she was trying her best.

Palace was very chaotic, when she asked Adya for so much people in palace, Adya said that after some days Adhiraj was going to be announced as the prince and CEO of Rajputana Group.

Next day she told Dia and Akshit about her staying at Royal Palace. They were a little stunned for sure but they didn't make much fuss about it.

They knew that Raina had some indirect connection with Royals but Raina didn't open up about it. She had only filled them with rough ideas about her past not much of minor details.

Three days passed in a blink without any tension for her.

Currently it was late morning and Adya was seating on Raina's bed glaring at her whereas Raina was eating chocolate bar and working on her laptop deliberately ignoring her.

Adya threw a cushion at her which directly hit her face, chocolate which she was holding near her mouth smeared on her chin.

Raina blinked her eyes , when her mind processed what had happened , she glared at Adya.

Slowly putting the laptop and chocolate aside, she stood on her feet with stiff expression.

Adya bit her tongue and ran out of the room screaming like a crazy woman.

Raina shook her head , Adya wanted to distract her.

She picked one tissue and cleared her face and again settled on the small sofa resuming her work.

After sometime she heard the creaking sound of door. Adya peeped in to see what she was doing.

Adya huffed again seeing her submerged in her work.

Adya whined lowly, "She is so workaholic dude, it is holiday today but she...."

She opened the door a little not wanting to draw her attention

She tip toed thinking that she was focused on her work. Raina smirked and picked cushion immediately throwing it on her way.

That cushion smacked her face, Adya was looking very funny with big eyes, parted mouth and hair strings falling on her face.

Raina couldn't help but was laughing like a pig after seeing her.

From past days, Adya was trying to make her comfortable by irritating her by their childish attitude, of course idea was given by Adhvan.

After that dinner incident, Adya was really feeling guilty over that and that increased when Raina was again going back in her reserved mood.

Adya never thought that Raina was alone, sure her bond with Akshit and Dia amazed her but now she knew that they were not just friends but a family for each other.

Seeing her laughing freely felt like a first victory.

She adjusted her hair and moved a hand on her face, she settled beside her faking a glare.

Raina controlled her laugh.

Adya huffed, "Raina, please come dude."

So now the thing is that Rana sa was throwing a party in evening where he will introduce his children to world.

Adya was constantly nagging her from morning to select a dress from the designer hired.

Raina's self respect didn't allowed her to take another favor from her, staying in palace was enough.

"Adya, listen. I have some dresses . I will wear one from them. I seriously don't need any designer.", Raina again tried to convince the adamant princess.

"No no. I am not listening anything.", Adya shook her head.

"Adya, listen. I never took any service from a personal designer, nor I believe in wasting my salary on those cloths in which I am not comfortable.", Raina put her reason forward.

Adya said defeated, "Okey, fine. As you wish."

She stood to go but again sat beside her and said, "Ahh!! I forgot to tell you... Maa sa was asking about you."

Raina looked at her with frowned eyebrows, "Me?? Why??"

Adya said dramatically, "Am I looking Maa sa to you? How would I know? Hurry up.. It's already late."

Raina sighed and put her laptop on the table aside with care, "Okey Okey. Lets go."

They stood near a door, Adya opened it and entered first, Raina followed her lead.

Raina saw a long collection of cloths hanged in line, sarees and gowns were shimmering under the glow of lights.

Some persons dressed in same clothes were showing their pieces . A lady was sitting with grace on her chair.

Adya smiled, "Maa sa... Finally I brought Raina."

Vasudha turned her head and smiled after seeing both girls standing there.

She signalled them to come towards her, "Come girls... Choose your outfit fast.."

Raina looked at her with shock but turned to glare at Adya.

Adya cheekily smiled.

"Traitor.", Raina muttered still glaring at Adya. Adya gasped dramatically but pulled her towards the designer standing with a welcoming smile.

Adhiarj was talking on phone when he heard a knock, he came out from his bedroom hanging up the call.

He said, "Come in."

Ahmed Khan entered the sitting area, Adhiraj gave a polite smile.

Khan Sahab came towards him and greeted, "Khamma Ghani Yuvraj sa."

Adhiraj hugged him and muttered, "Ghani Khamma Khan Baba."

They both sat on the sofa, talking about some personal as well as professional matters.

From childhood he had seen that man standing beside his father in all ups and downs without any complain. The place Ahmed Khan held in his heart was next to his family.

Khan Sahab had seen all three Rathore siblings growing up in front of his eyes, obviously he had treated them like his own from start, and their unchanged behavior with no ego had maintained their same relationship till now.

But today Adhiraj didn't call him for a normal chat, he had some work, some serious work with him.

After some talks of here and there Adhiraj started to put his point, "Khan Baba, I have some matters in my hand."

Khan Sahab stayed silent waiting for him to continue.

Adhiraj said in composed firm tone, "You know Khan Baba, I was coming back from a village and some people attacked me."

Khan Sahab looked at him with keen interest, Adhiraj leaned back on his seat and continued, "I took shelter in a village as I was injured a little, last night my men caught one of them. But unfortunately all of his other friends are out of my surveillance."

Ahmed Khan was still listening him with a straight face but he said, "So? What do you want me to do?"

Adhiraj smirked, "Kindly handover them to me. I want to handle this matter myself."

He was sure that Ahmed Khan knew about them, he had some solid proof and even after interrogating that man badly he didn't get full information about their origin.

Khan Sahab laughed and shook his head, "And here Rana sa was thinking that you are new in this game."

Adhiraj said with a small smile playing on his lips, "What should I say now? All these years not only taught me business but also many aspects of life, this is one of them."

Ahmed Khan stood up and said with smile, "I should go now Yuvraj sa. And you will get your gift soon."

Adhiraj also stood up with a nod, soon Khan Sahab left the place.

Adhiraj went towards the balcony attached to his bedroom, the greenary of the garden present beneath his balcony was a view worth watching.

Even in his large and expanded gallery, flower pavements were planted to give a surreal look.

A branch of a plant was infected with pests, it caught his attention. He bend down and broke the branch from its node.

A mysterious and dangerous smile came on his face, he said waving the broken branch in front of his eye, "Time to eliminate some unwanted elements."

Adya and Raina was coming back, Adya was rambling, "Raina, I am telling you, that black gown was perfect, you should have finalised that dress."

Adya was still sulking , Raina was adamant on not wearing any gown. She knew that she couldn't handle gown and heels together so she opted for a knee length dress.

Raina sighed, "Adya.. Shut up now. You are literally eating my brain. I don't want myself falling on my face in between the party. "

Adya huffed but smiled again as she saw Ahmed Khan coming in their direction.

She chirped, "Khan Baba!!"

Khan Sahab saw her and said smilingly coming towards them, "Ohh Princess!! How are you? "

She said, "I am perfectly fine but you seems to be busy."

He said patting her head, "Just to remind you tonight is very important for this family. I am looking after the arrangements personally."

His gaze turned towards Raina who was looking at them without blinking her eyes, her face seemed to be familiar to him.

Suddenly he said, "Aren't you the same girl whose phone I broke other day."

Raina chuckled at his sentence and nodded.

Adya poked her nose in between, "Khan Baba, she is my friend Raina, she is staying here with us and Raina he is Ahmed Khan or you should call him Khan Baba."

Ahmed Khan said in between, "Raina..Nice name. Sorry young ladies but I am needed somewhere, so please excuse me."

Both nodded their head and resumed their walk.

Adya was again saying something but Raina's mind was lost somewhere..

"What should I call you?", A small girl asked with voice full of naivety.

A man in his late thirties who was busy in wrapping the bandage over girl's wounds looked up at her pale face, "Well, you can call me Khan Sahab but children call me Khan Baba. Its your choice."

He smiled in last but his inner self was burning after seeing pain in those eyes.
