29. Adya's Crush

Akshit shouted on phone, "Are you out of your mind Raina? What are you saying??"

Raina moved the phone away from her ear. She expected the same reaction from him after sharing her plan.

She took in a breath, "Why are you shouting Akshit..? You were the one who told me to face everything."

Akshit was seating in his cabin, head resting on one hand and face full of tension.

He said trying to control his anger, "I told you to face your fear, not to jump in a river full of crocodiles .."

Raina was standing near the glass wall of corridor, she said in an irritated voice, "I am here after a long time and this is not simple as it is shown, you can't expect me to seat quietly."

Akshit asked, "What is the need of doing all this??"

Raina looked at the blue city through the glass, she whispered as in lost in her thoughts, "You know monkey, I don't even have a photograph of them , it's not like they will ever leave my mind.. But I don't have any memory , Heck!!! I even don't remember my address.. Only thing I can remember is some people's face and name, our moments together and... An.. And that day, when I lost my everything."

Akshit was silently listening her, when she silenced , he said, "Even I lost my parents baby but I moved on. Right? "

She exclaimed, "That's the thing Akshit, you lost them in accident and I...I literally saw them breathing last time with my own eyes..."

She closed her eyes as they moistened, "I don't have any souvenir of my past life except that dagger."

"I really want to know the truth.", she said in a helpless voice and ragged breath.

Akshit's eyes were focused on the a small picture of trio placed on the table. He took it and looked at it keenly.

He said in a stern voice, "Ok. Do as you wish,but remember a thing. If you will fall in any trouble small or big , I don't care, then you will have to come back without a word."

She nodded her head smiling at his possessiveness.

When Akshit didn't listened, he spoke, "You know, we are not on video call so I can't see you nodding."

She chuckled, "Of course.."

She looked at her surrounding and exclaimed, "Akshit.... You monkey... How many times have I told you not to call me in office.."

Akshit hung up the phone seeing the upcoming lecture coming from her side not wanting to blow up his mind.

He smiled and muttered caressing her face in picture, "Be safe." , and placed the photo which he was holding back to it's place still looking at it.

Adya was seating inside of Raina's cubicle doing something on her tablet. She looked at the direction where she went, their discussion was still pending...

Suddenly a peon came and asked about Raina, Adya told him that she would be there shortly. That man placed a envelope on the table and told her to give it to Raina and left the place.

Adya again went back on checking the presentation. When Raina didn't come back in other five minutes, Adya grew impatient. Her gaze fell on the white envelope.

She thought for a while but then picked up the letter out of curiosity. But as soon as she saw the subject imprinted on the envelope her jaw dropped.

Termination?? Seriously??

She hurriedly opened the envelope and unfolded the paper... She went through the letter line by line.

Letter was stating that company was not satisfied with Raina's work and that's why they were firing her and the next bomb dropped when she saw the signature of Adhiraj in the end of paper proving the authenticity.

She exclaimed , "What the hell..!!!!"

She heard the foot steps approaching, she quickly put that letter back in the envelope and tucked it inside her pant's pocket safely.

She picked up her tablet again and pretend to be very busy. Soon Raina came slumped on her seat.

Adya cleared her throat and asked, "What took you so long??"

Raina huffed, "Oh dude... Akshit called and he was going all possessive over me like a mother hen... Thank god I managed to hang up."

She smiled a little, "He really take care of you like a child.."

Raina smiled on that but she remembered their incomplete discussion.

She rubbed her hands together seating straight on the chair, "Let's do this." She motioned towards her tablet.

Adya quickly said, "Raina, we can do it tomorrow, you must be tired from all waking up in night. Take rest."

Saying that she left the place while Raina looked at her confused. She shrugged her shoulders, she looked at the small clock placed on the table, after seeing that two more hours were still left in office hour she went back on working .

Adya took a breath as she reached in front of Adhiraj's room. The servent standing beside the door raised his hand to knock on her behalf but she motioned him to stop.

She herself opened the door and entered the master suite . She entered the seating area but nobody was there. She moved a little foreward towards his bedroom but she stopped at her place listening voice coming from his study room. She turned left side and opened the door .

Adhiraj was settled on his chair behind the large table while Adhvan was settled on a chair in front of him.

As if sensing her presence , they looked at her. She didn't said anything, just got a chair and collapsed on that. After few minutes, she took that envelope out from her pocket and placed it on the table.

She asked , "What is this Bhai sa??"

Adhiraj picked it up and took a look of it. He frowned realising what it was.

Adya asked, "Bhai sa... What are you firing Raina?"

Adhiraj placed it back and said in a normal tone, "Reason is already mentioned in it."

Adhvan was confused over the matter. He took the letter and started reading it.

Adya said unbelievably, "What are you saying Bhai sa... She is so punctual and good in work... You also know she is so much dedicated towards her work."

Adhiraj didn't said anything, just looked at her with emotionless face.

Adhvan sighed, "Bhai sa... She was not on fault in what had happened ... Why this? "

Adya looked at him raising her eyebrows, "What happened??"

Adhiraj cleared his throat indicating that he would tell. Adya waited patiently, Adhiraj filled her with the rough idea of incidents of that night and last evening smoothly excluding that marriage part.

Adya exclaimed as he ended his story telling, "Oh my god Bhai sa..!!! Are you okey??"

He motioned at himself saying, "Yeah, I am perfectly fine."

Adhvan frowned at him thinking that why he was not speaking the whole truth, Adhiraj gave him a strong look silently shutting him up.

He was just hoping that Adhvan would not open his mouth , Rohan and Adhvan knew the whole truth however Adhiraj didn't planned on telling Adhvan about anything but he couldn't shoo him away from that place.

Adya noticed this eye telepathy going on between her brothers.

She asked, "But why are you kicking her out from the job??"

Adhiraj answered her question, "Roaming outside in Jodhpur is not safe for her. It will be better in Mumbai for her."

Adya nodded her head, "Okey, I got your point but why not transferring her back... Why terminating?"

"So that we both can forget the joke played on us by destiny.", he thought.

He said after a minute, "It would be good if she won't have any contact with us, Rathore Enterprises won't be Rathore enterprises anymore,it will soon be a part of Rajputana Business Empire."

Adya narrowed her eyes at him, she turned to Adhvan and said, "Adhvan.... If you will not tell me truth right now, I will go to Baba sa."

Adhvan shrieked, "What?? What is my fault?? Bhai sa is the one who is hiding things."

Adya smirked, she was right that their was something more and to confirm it she played her trump card on her youngest sibling.

Adhiraj facepalmed himself, that's why he was not comfortable in telling about it to him , just a mention of his father and Adhvan will hurl out anything to save himself.

Adya looked at Adhiraj with a determined voice, "Bhai sa... Are you going to tell me or should I go to Baba sa regarding this matter.?? You know he won't like your this behavior towards your innocent employee."

Adhiraj was glaring at Adhvan who was looking down, if his father would get involve in this matter, no matter what the truth will come out in front of everyone and his parents' reaction would be unpredictable.

He sipped water from the glass slowly while Adya was tapping the table impatiently.

Adya exclaimed as Adhiraj completed , "My god..... That means you both are married..."

Adhiraj corrected her, "Forced into marriage... And she doesn't know that I know about it. "

Adya confirmed, "So that's why you are pushing her away."

Adhiraj justified, "Not only this, her security is the main issue. Even if I will appoint bodyguards around her, her safety can't be assured."

Adya hurled out the first word came in her mind, "If I arrange a safe place for her then?"

Adhiraj shrugged, "Then why would I have any problem? But how will you arrange a safe place for her.??"

She smiled and get up from her place ready to leave, "I am your sister Bhai sa.... And one more thing, Raina doesn't know about all this so let me handle it."

Adya left the place, Adhiraj turned to Adhvan ready to pounce on him. Adhvan gulped and quickly ran from their saying that their mother was calling him.

Adya's POV:

How is Raina tolerating every thing so easily??

I was standing in the corridor facing the garden after dinner. I have told Bhai sa that I will arrange a safe place for her but how??

If I didn't then she will go back. With her Akshit's trust over me will also go.

Akshit... A smile crept on my lips on his name. My first crush.. His first song itself made me fall in love with his voice and her cute face did something odd with my heart.

Years ago, my one friend made see his video and from then I was stalking him on every social media.

On my first day in Mumbai, I was going to faint when I saw him standing in front of me. No doubt that cute boy was turned into maturely handsome person over the years but seeing him standing with that killer smile was something beyond the world.

I have seen his possessive nature towards Raina... I don't know if they are only friends or something more but I have given my words to him to take care of her.

I don't know if I am right or not but I am going to this..

I stopped in front of my parents room. I entered after knocking the door.. Both were seating in the balcony enjoying their night tea.

I smiled at them and asked about their whereabouts..

I said with a little hesitancy, "Maa sa.. Their is one of my friend, the same girl who met me in Mumbai. Actually her room mate went back to Mumbai. She is all alone in this city. Can I invite her to live here, in the palace..??"
