23. Khan Baba!!

Rana sa: King.

Yuvraj sa: Crown prince

Baba sa: Father

Maa sa: Mother

Jiji sa: Elder sister

Bhai sa: Elder brother

It was late evening when Adhiraj came out of the washroom wiping his hair with towel.

He threw the towel in the laundry hamper and looked at his reflection in the mirror. Just at that moment he heard a knock on the door, he said loudly, "Come in.."

After sometime a servant appeared in front of him. He bowed his head and said, "Yuvraj sa... Rana sa has called you in his office room."

Adhiraj nodded his head dismissing the servant, " I will be there shortly.."

That servant left the chamber. Adhiraj went near the mirror and combed his hair to perfection. He took his phone and went towards his father's office room.

He knocked on the shining wooden door. He entered the room after he heard 'come in' in a strong voice.

His father was sitting behind the huge wooden table on a big comfy chair.

Uday Singh Rathore was a man whose power can be deciphered by only casting a single glance at him.

He looked at his son and motioned him to take a seat. Adhiraj made himself comfortable on the chair.

Uday Singh placed the file aside which he was reading a while ago.

He asked leaning back on his chair, "So my son... Every thing settled??"

He nodded his head, "Yes Baba sa.."

Uday Singh said, "Then start looking into our company's matter too Adhiraj. You will be CEO soon.."

Adhiraj said, "I have started doing it since I came here. You don't worry Baba sa."

He smiled, "That's good thing. And one more thing...."

Uday Singh sat straight and said in a grave tone, "Stay safe from Rawals. They are already mad over Rathore Enterprises for collaborating with Rajputana.. He had been a rival of Suryagarh estate from a long time. He can stoop very low to fulfill his greedy goals."

(A/N: Rawal is another surname. Here it means Rawal clan.)

Adhiraj said in a dark tone, "You want me to handle them in my way."

Uday Singh shook his head negatively seeing his son's intentions, "Don't do anything before you are officially announced as the Yuvraj of Suryagarh estate. They won't dare to do anything after they will know about your true identity. I am just saying you to stay safe."

Adhiraj was reluctant but agreed with his father.

He looked at his father intently.

"Baba sa... Why is your mood spoiled today??" , he asked directly to his father after observing the continuous frown on his face.

His father sighed, "Nothing Adhiraj... Just met with-"

Their conversation was interrupted by a loud knock on the door. The person didn't wait for their permission and opened the door a little so that he could insert his head inside.

"Baba sa.... Bhai sa... Can I come in" ,A young man in his early 20s was standing on the threshold with a full blown smile on his face.

Adhvan Singh Rathore. (21 years old)

"Adhvan", Adhiraj whispered and stood up from his seat.

"You are already standing inside my son.", Uday Singh remarked smilingly.

Adhvan came towards them touched the feet of his father and then went towards his brother. Adhiraj hugged him.

Adhiraj asked putting a hand on his shoulders, "How have you been?"

Adhvan smiled, "As good as I can be."

He suddenly remembered, "Baba sa., I have not met Maa sa yet."

Uday Singh nodded his head, "Then go and meet her, we are also coming.."

Vasudha was sitting gracefully on the sofa reading a book. Rathore men reached the living area. Vasudha looked up at them and extreme happiness bloomed on her face after seeing her youngest son .

"Adhvan!!", she exclaimed hugging her son.

"How are you Maa sa.??", he asked hugging her back.

She broke the hug and looked at his face,"My kids are back home. Now I am all good."

He smiled and looked around, "Where is Jiji sa..?"

Just then Adya entered into the room with a man trailing behind her carrying all the shopping bags.

She told that man, "Put all these bags in my room.."

Adhvan said loudly grabbing her attention, "Think of the devil, and the devil is here.."

Adya turned towards him and was little stunned. Adhvan came and pinched her cheeks saying, "How are you?"

She smiled and chirped, "All good."

But soon she remembered what he said earlier. She whacked his head and asked, "What did you say? I am a devil.?"

Adhvan rubbed his head...

They were seating and talking after dinner. Happiness and contentment, that was the feeling our King and Queen was having after seeing their whole family spending the some quality time after a long time and they knew that this was last long .

Adhvan commented, "Jiji sa . You bought whole shop today..Quite literally."

Adya rolled her eyes at his teasing words, "So?? Can't I buy something during an outing with friends??"

Adhvan looked at her, "Wow. You made friends.??"

She chirped, "Yes!!!"

Vasudhha looked at her daughter. No doubt Adhvan was a jolly person and he had an enlarged friend circle whereas Adhiraj was a reserved person who trusted a very few persons and on the name of friend, he had only Rohan from childhood but Adya who travelled alot didn't tried to make friends, just some acquaintances to hang out nothing more...

But she used word 'Friend'.

Uday Singh asked with a tone laced with curiousity, "And who's this privileged person??"

Adya smiled, "Her name is Raina."

Adhiraj somewhere knew the answers after observing his sister's behavior towards a certain employee of him. After that Adya was forced to narrate her friendship story when she blurted that Raina saved her.

Adhvan was controlling his laughter when Adya was getting earful lectures on her carelessness.

Uday Singh said, "Now an important thing is their to discuss about..I want you three to go to southern villages to observe their conditions so that we can provide good for them... They lack basic infrastructures there."

Adhiraj nodded his head, "Will do it soon Baba sa."

Uday Singh suggested, "Take a group of people with you too who are good with managements and all."

Vasudha objected when she was alone with her husband, "Why Adya Rana sa? Adhiraj and Adhvan are enough for there. You know that I really don't trust that area with girls.."

Uday Singh put his hands on his shoulders and made her sit.

"If that place is not safe then it have to be because Adhiraj is going there. Nothing will happen , they are just visiting the place."

Vasudha nodded her head agreeing with her husband's perspective. On the other hand Uday Singh Rathore knew what he was doing.

It was like giving an open invitation to the enemies to harm Rathore's new business partner. But his trust and confidence over his son overlapped that possibility.

He just wanted to show a cruel side of Royal life to Adhiraj but he didn't know that his son was a pro himself in handling these dirty business games.

He called a person when Vasudha was not present there to listen to him, "Khan...Are you back in Jodhpur??"

A voice was heard from other side, "Yes Rana sa?"

Raina huffed listening to Akshit's early morning lecture...

"Raina... I am again saying that stay away from any problems... You have to return after six months anyway."

"I am not a child Akshit.", she said in a bored tone.

"Yeah Yeah.. Did you visit anywhere?"

"Akshit.. Being truthful, you are irritating me now.I know by ANYWHERE what do you mean..and don't you have work? You are chatting with me in office hours..."

"Oh baby.... I am the boss so no worries.."

"So what?? You sho-"

She was cut off in middle because of the collision..While talking to Akshit, her whole concentration was on phone that's why she couldn't see the person approaching her.

The phone fell on the floor but her whole concern was her nose which got smashed with the other person's well built chest... Tears brimmed in her eyes due to agonizing pain in her nasal bone, she covered her nose with her palm pressing it gently to sooth the stinging feeling.

The other person asked in his rough and strong voice, "Are you okey lady??"

She looked up at the person and found a man in his fifties was standing with an imposing personality. His aged face was adorned with gunslinger moustache and his body was clad in pathani kurta and payjama. A typical rajasthani man.

He again asked, "Hello.. I am talking to you. Are you okey??"

She nodded her head and bent down to pick her phone which was scattered in two pieces.

He also bent down to pick a piece which was far from Raina.

He said, "Miss.. I will get a new phone for you, it broke down due to my mistake."

Raina shook her head in negative, "No need uncle.. It was my mistake too."

Both stood up. The man asked, "Are you sure??"

Raina nodded her head and step aside providing him way to continue his journey which was interrupted by her.

He nodded her head and walked ahead. Raina also walked to other side but she was feeling something weird after seeing this man, like she had seen him somewhere. She tried to remember but apart from some hazy memories she couldn't remember anything..

Suddenly she stopped in her tracks, her eyes widened in realisation. She turned around to see the man but he was long gone. A gasp left her lips, "Khan Baba??"
