Chapter 67
Trapped with My Billionaire Ex-Husband by Mariya Mercedes
Chapter 67 SEBASTIAN I canât believe Blaire actually left me here outside without giving me much context. I may not be in the right position to ask her a question, but not knowing anything kills me inside.
I decided to go down to the lobby while I figured out whatâs going on with Blaire.
Since she left, I never once tried to contact her or know what sheâs been up to. God knows how hard I tried to forget her and live a normal life without her. But the moment she stepped into my office that day, all that rationale flew outside the window. I havenât been thinking clearly since she got back. Somehow, I manage to forget everything but her. My mind was filled with thoughts of her and how much I wanted to be with her. I even resort to offering her money in exchange for being with her.
I know itâs stupid, but itâs an easier way for me to get what I wanted. I had a feeling that I might regret every decision I make, but Iâd like to take that risk if that means Iâll get a chance to be with her.
I picked up my phone from my pocket and called a friend of mine who owns a security agency. He got all the resources and tools I needed to get all the information I needed about Blaire.
I dialed his number, and it didnât take long before he finally answered. âBrandon, I need you to do something for me,â I said as soon as he answered the phone.
âHi, hello, Sebastian. Itâs nice to hear from you again. How have you been?â He replied sarcastically.
âI have no time for pleasantries, Brandon.â
âWell, youâre not paying me enough to go along with your temper. Goodbye,â he said before hanging up the phone.
âWhat the fck!â I cursed loudly as I stared at my phone in disbelief. I canât believe he just hung up on me. âYou, bast4rd!â I cursed once again before dialing up his number again. After a few rings, he immediately answered. âBrandon, if you hung up again, I swearââ
âBye, Sebastian!â he said before cutting off the line.
âFck!â I shut my eyes tightly, trying to calm myself before dialing his number again. I could use my other resources to get all the information I needed, but I donât want to put Blaireâs privacy in the hands of just anyone. With Brandon, I know that whatever information he gathered about Blaire, he wouldnât use it against me or anyone else. Brandon seems hard to handle, but he is indeed a good friend.
I waited for a few minutes to calm down before I called him again. After a few rings, he finally answered. âHello, Brandon. How are you?â
âOh, hello there, my good friend! What can I do for you?â He was greeted as soon as he got what he wanted. âSee? Thatâs how you greet a friend if you want to ask them a favor, okay?â he added.
âWhatever,â I replied, rolling my eyes even though he couldnât see me.
âSo, what do you want from me?â
I need you to get all the information you can get about Blaire for the last six years,â I ordered him.
âYouâre ex-wife?â He said it followed a loud laughter. âYou really took your time before you got your head clear, werenât you?â he teased Iâm not asking your opinion âSo, hot-headed as ever,â he continued. âHow soon do you want these details?â
âIn an hour,â I answered.
15:04 Wed, Feb 7 Chapter 67 âYouâre in a rush, huh? You know we charged for a rush job order, right?â
âI donât care how much. Just give me all the information I need. Send the bill to my office,â I responded.
âNow, weâre talking! Iâll send you the bill right now,â Brandon said quickly.
âSend me the details I needed before I cash money from me!â
âHell no! I have a payment-first policy,â he insisted.

âTss! Youâre acting as if youâre running out of money,â I complained. âFine. Tell me how much; Iâm going to wire the money right now.â
âI work for money! Of course, I have a lot of mouths to feed.â
âYeah, tell that to the marines. You own half of a fucking multi-billion-dollar security company. You are not doing this for money.â
âYou got me, bro,â he chuckled. âIâm not doing this for money. This is me being a good friend,â he added.
âFck you. Shut up and tell me how much. Youâre annoying.â
âTen million dollars,â he said.
âYouâve got to be fcking kidding me!â
âTake it or leave it, bud. Thatâs my price.â.
âYouâre an asshole! Iâll make sure Hunter knows about this.â
âOh, he knows, buddy. Iâm actually with him right now.â
âAre you both ganging up on me?â
âYeah, we are,â Hunter answered.
âYouâre both an asshole!â
âSend the money, Sebastian. Weâre waiting!â Brandon repeated.
âFine, j3rk!â I hung up the phone, and I immediately initiated the transfer. I called my bank to make sure that the money would be wired in real time. It only took a few minutes before the transfer was successful. Once everything was done, I quickly dialed Brandonâs number again. âItâs done. Now, do your job and give me what I paid for!â I said so as soon as he answered.
âItâs my pleasure, Your Highness,â he teased.
I didnât bother answering and quickly hung up the phone. âAsshole!â
âYou swear a lot. My mom said itâs bad to swear,â said the little voice beside me.
1 frowned and turned in the direction where the little voice was coming. I raised my eyebrow when I noticed a small boy in a hospital gown standing behind me.
âIâm not asking for your opinion. And didnât your parents teach you not to talk to strangers?â I said it irritatedly. I didnât mean to snap at the innocent little boy. But the situation is keeping me in a bad mood.
âDidnât your parents ever teach you not to pick fights with someone younger?â He retorted, his tone echoing with the same frustration.
âI donât have time for you. Why donât you go back to your mommy?â I said, pushing hirn away.
15:04 Wed, Feb 7 Chapter 67 âIâm waiting for my mom. Sylvia said my mom is coming tonight, so Iâm waiting for her in the lobby.â
âCanât you wait for her in your room?â I asked, frowing in annoyance. How can a mother let her child roam around the hospital unattended?
âNo, I want to see her as soon as she arrives,â he answered.
âCome on, Iâll be bringing you back to your room,â I said, offering my hand to him.
âI said, Iâm going to wait for my mommy,â he insisted, crossing both of his arms in front of his chest while pouting.

+5 I was stunned for a minute. Somehow, this kid reminds me of me when I was little. Though, aside from having the same color of eyes, we have nothing in common.
âIf you want to stay here, then fine,â I said before turning my back on him. But before I left, I went to the nurse station to tell them about the kid and ask them to look after him while heâs waiting for his mother.
As I approached the nurse station, I heard a familiar voice calling out a name.
âBlaze! What are you doing here? You shouldnât be walking around the hospital alone!â said the familiar voice.
Before I even turned around to see, I was taken aback. I had a strong feeling it was Blaireâs voice. Without hesitation, I spun around, and my suspicion was confirmed when I saw Blaire with the child I had been speaking to moments earlier.
Could she be the mother of the child mentioned?
Theard from Sylvia that youâre coming home tonight. And I wanted to see you as soon as you arrived. Iâm sorry, mommy.â
âItâs fine, baby. Iâm just glad youâre okay. Why donât we go back to your room, shall we?â she asked.
âBlaire?â I uttered her name to catch her attention. I clearly saw how she turned pale, as if all the blood was drained from her body.
âDo you know him, mommy?â asked the child that was clinging to her waist.
