LONELY! TXT.
"Jaewon, here's your pay for the month."
The girl looked up, a thankful smile crossing her face before she gave a respectful bow and collected the money from her boss.
"I have my exams coming up you know..." she trailed of and her boss sighed before smiling a little.
"I'll give you a month off, good luck."
Jaewon grinned and called out a 'goodbye!' before grabbing her stuff and heading out of the store, ready to cram in some studying for exams since she knew Taehyun would kill her if she failed.
On her way home, she glanced at the packet of money in her hands once again and couldn't help but smile, knowing with this amount, she wouldn't have to worry about money for the next few days.
â â â
"Choi Yeonjun, Choi Jaewon, Choi Beomgyu, and Kim Jisoo, please head to the principal's office."
At once whispers and murmurs went up among the teenagers as the called students looked up at the speakers, surprised to have been pointed out this way. Since they all were in the same class, they were dismissed early and left together, Jisoo in the front, walking as if she owned the school, Yeonjun just behind her, annoyed, and Beomgyu and Jaewon walking side by side behind them.
Although it had only been a few days since the...'music incident', Jaewon and Beomgyu had somehow managed to catch up with everything they hadn't been caught up with. Despite the fact both weren't completly forgiven to the other, they were still able to talk past their differences and resume a sort of friendship.
Beomgyu loved this while Yeonjun hated it.
As the four students entered the principal's office, Jisoo immediately burst into a fake set of tears, causing Yeonjun to flinch and jump away from the crazy girl, nearly crashing into Jaewon and Beomgyu behind him.
Noticing what had happened, the blue hair weirdo cleared his throat before standing up straight again. Jaewon bit her lip, trying to hold back her laughter as Beomgyu let a soft smile show.
The principal looked up at the comotion and rolled his eyes, not liking how among the 4 students stood his smartest students and Jaewon, the girl he thought had changed.
oh, and Jisoo.
who was still crying.
"Jisoo, please stop the tears and explain what happened in your point of view." the principal sighed, sitting back against his chair, already knowing it was going to be a long day.
â â â
"...and then, she started screaming at all the students and forced Yeonjun to kick down the door!" Jisoo gasped dramatically, placing hands over her chest, "I was so scared."
The principal struggled not to roll his eyes while Beomgyu looked confused, Yeonjun looked annoyed, and Jaewon looked ready to kill. When Jisoo noticided how Jaewon was looking at her, flashes of her slapping her face crossed her mind and she immediately shut up and sat back against her seat.
"Okay...you're story is clearly different from," the principal paused, "...literally everyone in school...Jaewon, tell us what happened."
Jisoo's face burned in embarrassment while Jaewon looked up, paying attention and mind already recalling what had happened.
"Jisoo had stolen my belonging and had played something private to the whole school and when I demanded she stop, she didn't do so and..." Jaewon trailed of before continuing, "I had no choice but to kick down the door."
"She didn't kick it, I did." Yeonjun quickly interrupted.
Jaewon glanced at him, surprised, but he didn't look back at her. With a sad sigh, she looked back at the principal who had a disappointed expressoin on his face.
"First things first, Beomgyu what were you doing?"
The boy bit his lip, head hanging low. "Nothing sir, absolutely nothing. I just let everything happen."
The principal sighed again before glancing at Yeonjun, asking with his eyes 'what happened?'.
"Our friend called us and showed us where Jaewon was so when I saw her desperately trying to open the door, I helped her." Yeonjun sat back and crossed his arms.
"So you kicked down the door?" the principal asked and Yeonjun nodded.
"You know you're going to have to pay for this right? It is school property after all."
Yeonjun looked down at his lap and nodded again but he didn't see Jaewon look up in shock.
"No!" she exclaimed, causing everyone to look at her, "It's my fault this happened, I should pay!"
"I don't care who pays, alright? Just someone needs to do it." the principal snapped before standing up, "All of you, a week of detention."
Everyone's head dropped low, Jisoo secretly smirking since she knew she deserved way more and was still getting away with it.
"Except Jisoo."
Gasps were heard as the said girl looked up, fear and shock reaching her eyes at the sudden words.
"You are suspended for 2 months." and with those words said, everyone was dismissed, Jisoo immediately screaming "THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!" to Jaewon before running off.
Stunned, Jaewon blinked after Jisoo's retreating figure, shaking her head before looking at Yeonjun who was glaring at her. Surprised, she met his eyes.
"W...What?"
Yeonjun sighed, "I'll pay, not you." he muttered before leaving Beomgyu and Jaewon by themselves.
"You know," Beomgyu stated, "I could pay. I have the money." he looked at Jaewon with hopeful eyes but she shook her head.
"You weren't the reason the door broke."
"Yeah it was Jisoo!"
"Jisoo's not going to pay for it." Jaewon rolled her eyes before adding, "Let's just get to our next class."
â â â
"Here's the money." Yeonjun said, pushing an envelope towards the principal who looked up, surprised.
He pushed it back at once and shook his head.
"Jaewon already payed."
Yeonjun was out the door at once and before he knew it, he was in the cafeteria, eyes searching around for Jaewon since it was lunch time. Once he caught sight of her at the usual table beside Sofia and with TXT, he immediately walked up to her and grabbed her hand, pulling her out of her seat.
"Yeonjun!" she exclaimed, eyes widening in shock at the sudden appearance of the blue hair weirdo.
"Why did you pay?" he glared at her, "I told you I would!"
Jaewon rolled her eyes before shoving Yeonjun off of her, not noticing the hurt flashing through his eyes at the move.
but then again, Yeonjun didn't notice the hurt in her eyes too.
"What's done is done, you can't do anything about it." Jaewon sat back down, not looking back at Yeonjun.
"Where did you even get the money from though?" he asked at once.
Jaewon still didn't look up, instead carefully pushing away her lunch tray of food as Yeonjun realised for the first time, he hadn't brought her a lunchbox.
He mentally face palmed himself.
"It's my last month's check from work." Jaewon replied, casually standing up and grabbing her tray.
"See you guys later, I'm skipping." she said before leaving, Taehyun being pushed back down by Soobin as he tried to stop her from skipping.
"Let her go." Soobin muttered and Taehyun crossed his arms, agreeing with reluctance.
Yeonjun stood frozen in his spot for a few seconds, realising Jaewon had just payed for him despite the fact she didn't have a lot of money. Soon, he had turned around and headed towards his next class, a dazed expression on his face while his mind swirled with thoughts.
â â â
Yeonjun, Jaewon, and Beomgyu spent their next two weeks in detention after school as assigned which totally wasn't awkward. Although Yeonjun and Jaewon wouldn't talk, the girl found herself becoming close to Bemogyu again, extremely thankful when she realised there were no left over feelings for him. Whether Beomgyu still liked her or not was unknown to Jaewon but the girl didn't care, only thinking about how to make up to Yeonjun and convince the blue hair boy that she liked him.
...maybe even more.
As the days without Yeonjun by her side went by, all Jaewon could think about was how her heart felt whenever the blue hair weirdo kissed her. Whenever he looked into her eyes and said things like "you're beautiful." or "I like you so much."
Was Jaewon really feeling something more than 'like' for Yeonjun?
"Attention students, there will be a mandatory assembly tomorrow morning, make sure to come directly to the auditorium instead of your first class. See you then and for now, school is dismissed."
Students groaned at once, few stretching, few mentally cringing thinking about tomorrow, and the others ready to leave the place they called hell.
While Jaewon was among the ones cringing about tomorrow, Huening Kai was totally ready to leave and so along with Taehyun, Yeonjun, Soobin, and Sofia, the group headed out of school together, soon parting ways to leave to their own houses before it was just Yeonjun and Jaewon, walking together in silence since they lived beside each other.
Despite no words being exchanged, the two found themselves glancing at the other a lot and by the time Jaewon had arrived home, she had an idea in mind.
an idea she knew would completly change her school life.
