Chapter 131
Spoiled (Lily)
Priscilla stared at him for a while. Her heart was pounding, entirely out of her control. Lillyâs father is charming, making me unable to extricate myself.
Her cheeks were burning, and this feeling of love made her intoxicated.
Priscilla did not notice a male teacher approaching her from a distance.
He was the physical education teacher. Generally, there were few male teachers in kindergarten, except for private schools like Animaux International Kindergarten.
In almost every class, there would be a male teacher, and one of them was Shawn, one of Priscillaâs admirers.
Shawn was a warm, outgoing PE teacher who was very kind.
He lightly tapped Priscilla on the shoulder, startling her. She patted her chest and pouted, âItâs you! You scared me!â
Shawn said, âCome with me.â
Priscilla asked nervously, âWhere are we going?â
Shawn led her to a secluded place and looked at her anxiously.
âIs everything okay? I heard two kids in your class have a fight, and their parents even came to the school⦠You were the one who was watching them at the time.â
Priscilla looked regretful, bit her lip, and said, âItâs all my fault. I was distracted⦠and didnât pay attention.â
Shawn patted her gently to comfort her and said, âItâs okay. You didnât expect it to happen, right? But you canât daydream like that when working in the future.â
He sounded helpless, knowing her tendency to be absent-minded, which was cute.
Priscilla sniffed and said in a pitiful tone, âI was thinking about you at that timeâ¦â
Shawn asked in a gentle voice, âHave you made up your mind? Will you choose him or me?â
Priscilla looked painful, âShawn⦠please donât put pressure on me anymore. Iâm struggling.â
âI love you so much, but Flynn is a good man who likes me. He would be devastated if he lost me.
Although I donât like him, Iâm afraid I will hurt him. I canât do it, really canât do it.â
Shawn sighed. âOkay, I wonât force you.â
Priscilla said again, âGive me some time. I will slowly make him accept it.â
Shawn nodded.
Priscilla also said, âBy the way, do you know who Lillyâs parents are? Especially her father. Oh, I just looked it up. He looks so powerful. Iâm scared.â
Shawn said, âLilly is Hannahâs younger sister, and her maternal family is the Crawford family⦠As for her father, I donât know much about that.â
Priscilla secretly felt shocked. The Crawford family⦠Is that a very low-key prominent family?
She remembered the man who had been quiet and wearing a suit, who turned out to be the big CEO, just like in the novel.
Priscillaâs heart skipped a beat again.
After the fight, Lilly did not go home with her father but insisted on finishing class and only went home after school.
Hannah frowned when she saw the wound on Lillyâs face and knew about her fight with someone.
âHe dared to bully you!â Hannah was angry, âWhy didnât you call me? I would have beat him up too!â
What a pity she could not even fight with her little sister!
Lilly replied, âUm, Hannah. If I had called you, it would have been too late.â
Hannah was angry. âYeah⦠Iâll beat him up whenever I see that naughty kid!
She was so frustrated because she promised her family she would take good care of Lilly.
On the first day, she already had a bruise on her face.
Hannah and Lilly got on the school bus.
As the school bus left one by one, parents who came to pick up their children also took them away, and the lively kindergarten returned to quietness.
Soon, a man stood at the kindergarten gate, holding a lunch box.
Priscilla scurried, rubbing her hands and complaining, âFlynn, why are you here? Didnât I tell you not to come to the kindergarten to see me?â
Flynn handed her the lunch box and pursed his lips, saying, âIâm afraid youâll forget to eat again, and you will get a stomach ache.â
Priscilla took it and said, âThank you, Flynn. Youâre so kind to me.â
Flynn said, âJust a thank you?â
Priscilla replied, âWell, what else do you want?â
Flynn pointed to his cheek.
Priscilla blushed instantly. She looked around and quickly kissed Flynnâs cheek.
Then she stomped her foot and said, âYouâre annoying.â
After speaking, she held her lunch box and ran away quickly, like a frightened little bird.
Flynn smiled and murmured, âYouâre so cute.â
What no one knew was that the harem spirit on Priscillaâs head was ecstatic and clung even tighter.
Bettany waited at the door and finally saw Lilly. She quickly reached out and took her hand, looking concerned.
âLilly, come here. Let me see if you still hurt?â
Lilly shook her head and said, âIt doesnât hurt anymore!â
The iodine on the wound was bright red, which looked shocking.
Bettany was heartbroken.
Last time, when Blake took Lilly away, she hit her forehead and got a bruise. She also applied iodine to it.
And now, she got another wound on her face.
Lilly did not care and showed off her rewards to her grandmother, âGranny, I got so many rewards!â
She had a âYouâre awesomeâ sticker on her forehead, two âthumbs upâ stickers on her left hand, and two âFrozen princessâ stickers on her right hand.
She showed them off to everyone as if she had won a big prize.
She even showed them to Polly.
âHey Polly, look! I have so many stickers. Only well-behaved kids will get them! Arenât I awesome?â
Polly flapped its wings and praised, âWow, youâre amazing! Youâre shining like a superstar!â
Lilly was thrilled. She did not tear off the stickers even when she took a bath.
In the end, Blake gave her a notebook to collect the stickers.
Under each sticker, Blake made a note for Lillyâs description, âI answered in the loudest voice when I was called on. The teacher rewarded me.â
Blake took a pen and noted under the sticker, âCalled on with the loudest voice, rewarded⦠Okay, done.â
Lilly continued, âThis is when I finished eating lunch first and emptied the plate. The teacher rewarded me.â
Blake replied, âHmm⦠First place for finishing meals, rewarded.â
Lilly said, âThis is for helping the teacher set up chairs. â
Blake noted, âThe teacherâs little helper.â
They bent over the desk, writing memos conscientiously.
Blake whispered to Lilly at night as he put her to sleep, âLilly, do you think Daddy did the right thing today?â
Lilly thought momentarily, âIt seems wrong to hit people.â
But she also hit Ray.
So she could not expect too much from Daddy.
Blake touched Lillyâs head and said charmingly, âHmm, Lilly is right. Itâs wrong to beat others.â
âBut, different people require different approaches. Some people wonât listen to reason, and you must solve it violently. But when you fight back, itâs their turn to talk about the reason.â
âSo sometimes, donât be too rigid, or youâll lose. Got it?â
Lilly nodded, not fully understanding.
Blake did not expect her to understand too much about the complexities of life.
He had escaped the darkness and knew better than anyone how dark the bright world could be and how complex human nature could be.
He wished that Lilly would not be a saint nor a bully, not suffer losses, and not be bound by worldly constraints. He just wanted her to be a candid and upright person.
Watching Lilly gradually fall asleep, Blake stood up after a long time, stretched lazily, and went out quietly.
Pablo, meditating with crossed legs, opened his eyes and said, âYou were worried about Blake. Now you have seen it. Are you relieved?â
As she drifted around, Jean was dark like a ghost. âHmm.â
Pablo asked, âAre you at ease now? Can you reincarnate?â
Jean looked pitiful, âBro, letâs discuss it again! Let me reincarnate with my memory. If it doesnât work, I can start from the fertilized egg.â
