85 Concern

“Master never needed me on shift duty before. It’s time for me to do so now.” Yin Tao gently held the head of the corpse so that Su Ning could check the victim’s nose and mouth.

Su Ning did a basic checkup and said to Yin Tao, “My findings are the same as yours at the crime scene yesterday. There’s no possibility of death from poisoning or illness. The victim hanged herself.”

Yin Tao had already come to this conclusion, so she wasn’t surprised. “Has the victim’s identity been confirmed?”

Su Ning nodded and told him the identity of the deceased provided by the police. “The deceased is Li Ting, 25 years old. She graduated from a nursing school and worked as a nurse during her internship. People lost contact with her half a year ago and her family is overseas.”

“She was a nurse?” Yin Tao caught the main point of what Su Ning’ said.

“After her internship, she did not become an official employee. Instead, she was unemployed.” After saying that, Su Ning added, “Moreover, the time of Li Ting’s death was about a day ago. The corpse was not seriously decomposed, but she had been missing for a good six months.”

“Master, this corpse was found at the place where Sun Peng traded his body parts. Do you think these murders are related?” Yin Tao felt that although this corpse had nothing to do with Sun Peng, who was already dead, the people from the black market were still suspects.

“Then I’ll go take a look and give them another copy of the autopsy report that Master compiled.”

Looking at the green tinge under Yin Tao’s eyes, Su Ning was worried and instructed, “Xiaotao, although you’re young, you have to rest well. Tomorrow is the weekend. Go home and rest well. I’m here for the police station. Rest well for two days.”

Yin Tao walked into the police station with the autopsy report. She didn’t see Captain Chen and Feng Jing, instead she saw Ji Yu walking into the archive room.

“Sister Xiaotao.” Ji Yu hugged the documents and smiled helplessly. He said to Yin Tao, “Boss went to investigate the social network of the victim found in the car park. He left me at the police station to look at the surveillance cameras and organize the information.”

Looking at the worried Ji Yu, Yin Tao said kindly, “I’ll help you. It’ll be faster if there’s one more person.”

“Thank you, Sister Xiaotao.” Ji Yu scratched his head and smiled. “I’m already prepared to stay up all night. With your help, we might finish before the sun sets.”

Yin Tao followed Ji Yu to the archive room. The two of them had underestimated the number of surveillance cameras. Just the footage from the surveillance camera at the entrance of the alley near the car park took them the entire morning.

“Sister Xiaotao, eat something.” Ji Yu handed a bento box to Yin Tao. If he was alone, he would have just made do. However, Yin Tao was a girl after all, and Ji Yu didn’t want Yin Tao to starve with him.

“Thank you. Let me finish the last two clips.” Yin Tao took the bento box, but her gaze was still on the computer screen.

Seeing how serious Yin Tao was, Ji Yu put down the bento box in his hand and continued to watch with her.

“Wait, switch back to normal speed for the clip just now.” Yin Tao stared fixedly at the screen, but Ji Yu didn’t understand her intentions.

“Sister Xiaotao, there’s no one in this clip either.” Ji Yu also looked at the video at the corner of the street and did not find anything special.
