Yin Tao observed the middle-aged man’s eyes and saw that he didn’t avoid Feng Jing’s gaze nor did he make any physical movements. Instead, he was nervous and timid as if he wanted to seek protection.

Feng Jing was not too surprised when he heard what the middle-aged man said. Instead, he asked slowly, “You saw it with your own eyes?”

The uncle shook his head desperately and stuttered, “I don’t remember if I saw it clearly. At that time, I thought it was a dummy hand. That blondie probably wanted Sun Peng to examine the goods. He took out a human hand from a black bag and handed it to him.”

“Don’t worry. The suspect won’t see you. Like the glass here. You can look in from the outside, but you can’t look out.”

Feng Jing pointed at the big glass in the interrogation room and said to the middle-aged man, “You only need to take a look from the outside. There won’t be any danger.”

The middle-aged man didn’t dare to refute Feng Jing too fiercely. He nodded slightly and walked out of the interrogation room.

When Yin Tao saw the man come out, she deliberately hid to the side to avoid being recognized by him.

The police officers escorted the middle-aged man out of the interrogation room. Feng Jing saw Yin Tao standing by the window and said to her, “Xiaoyin, why are you here?”

“Captain Chen called Bai Luo, so I accompanied her to the police station to take a look.” Yin Tao looked at Feng Jing, who was dressed casually. She still felt that Feng Jing looked more pleasing to the eye when dressed like this.

“They went to check the surveillance cameras near the abandoned car park. Zhou Nan’s remand period is almost over. We have to get the evidence before he is released.” Feng Jing sighed and rubbed his swollen temples. He said to Yin Tao, “The black market is too complicated. It’s too difficult to get concrete evidence.”

Yin Tao thought for a moment and recalled Cheng Fei, who had often interacted with Zhou Nan. “I’ll find an opportunity to chat with Cheng Fei again. He should know something, so I’ll try to ask him.”

Feng Jing shook his head. He felt that Yin Tao’s idea was too risky. “You can’t act alone. If you insist on going, let me know in advance.”

“Go back and rest early.” Feng Jing was about to let Yin Tao go back and rest when the cell phone in his pocket rang. “Hello, Captain Chen.”

“A corpse has been found in the abandoned car park on Tai’an Street.” Feng Jing put his cell phone back into his pocket and said to Yin Tao and Ji Yu, “Let’s go. We have a lot to do tonight.”

Yin Tao realized the seriousness of the situation and followed Feng Jing and Ji Yu out of the police station.
